Traded my well used well carried M&P40c for this bad boy (9mm). It's a newer build so it's got the most recent barrel, and trigger similar to the Shield (has a noticeable reset). Owner claimed he only put 30 rounds through it, and i believe him. I've already removed the thumb safety. Wish I had some standard capacity mags for it.....

What is it? A speaker?
Its like Siri but for your home. You call her Alexa and ask her to do stuff, weather, reminders, timers, news, traffic, it can stream BT or play from Amazon library.
When connected to wemo switches I can simply say "Alexa, turn on front porch light" and click.

I have one of those. If my kids yell "Alexa, play Uptown Funk" again I think I'm going to throw it in the trash. LOL, j/k.
It's a neat gadget but I'm really more exciting about upcoming enhancements. It didn't do a ton on day one but they've been adding to it, with lots of rumors on the horizon of coming features too.

Having spent thousands on holsters from all over (Raven included), I won't go anywhere else for my Kydex needs. Overall build quality and materials are spot on with Raven, coholster has 'em beat everywhere else Imo.
Not to mention if you are not completely satisfied he will fix it. I ordered a holster from him with suppressor sight and the sights were rubbing on the inside of the holster. I contacted Steve and he sent me a self addressed mailing label to mail back the holsters to fix the issue.

Bringing it home Tuesday (providing no rain!), didn't want to ride home in the down pour LOL. Got it at Avalanche Harley and it was a great experience, very happy with the shop. 2014 FXDF under 3200 miles woohoo.

I don't recall all the details of the differences, a quick Google should turn up several discussions on the topic. My personal experience however, is that the old finish will take all but the worst of abuse without showing scratches or signs of wear, whereas the newer finish scratches fairly easily. YMMV.

Glock used to finish their slides w/Tenifer which was incredibly rugged and even more caustic. They've since switched to a more environmentally friendly coating process for their slides.

This is my understanding as well, just couldn't recall the details. What I know for sure, is my personal experience, and that these older Glocks are getting harder to come by.
Picture in your mind a few more pounds of TAC, and two Peanut Butter Nut Roll candy bars.

Meant to head over to Bowers for one of those holsters. Same one I have for my Shield and I love it, very thin. Still waiting on my Talons, ordered straight from Talon last Thursday, nothing yet. I may get impatient and buy the grips from Bowers, as the texture on the G43 is less than impressive.
Yea i could have save some money buying online. But Im impatient as don't mind supporting local businesses, as long as they don't host GBs :)

We've been well past 50mp for years (LEAF, H4/H5, Etc.) but this pushes things in the smaller bodies a bit. I've paid the money and have sourced the new glass, but the bodies aren't in hand just yet. The new glass far exceeds the cost of the new bodies [Shock]

Nikon D810 was at 36MP and now Canon has upped the ante a bit with 50MP in FX (full frame) format bodies.
I'm a putz and shoot a used D7000. And I suck. The camera is usually much better than I am.

I used to be super into cameras and photography but got burned out and tired of carrying all that gear. iPhone is what I use now for convenience, lame I know but it got so expensive just to "keep up" and every house wife with a dslr thought she was a photographer. They are not bueno. I don't think the RMR on the riser works for my needs either thought. I've got a low-pro mount & Burris Fastfire 3 in the works that will do nicer I think.

Mine will look like that but with the factory side folding stock and a self-made Form 1 suppressor. I was going to buy the adapter for my Octane 9mm HD suppressor but that's like $80 and I can build an entire suppressor for like 2x that and have a dedicated can for the firearm and taylor it's function to that exact firearm & rounds. Should be pretty fun once it's completed and I get all my stamps back.
My bank account is several hundred dollars lesser now. Should get this in the mail in the next couple weeks.

I've had the same watch serviced at R/NYC once and at independent watch makers ever since. Anyone with any concern for keeping vintage parts intact will avoid factory service like the plague, I've seen dials needlessly replaced and that alone will drop the value by thousands on watches that originally cost hundreds. The guy who serviced it this time is someone I dearly wish I'd known about for the past 25 years: very good, under two weeks to do it, fair priced. I went to his shop when it was apart (to snap the posted photo) and he had two early 70's GMT's and several 1680's apart at the same time...I tried not to drool. I'm very happy with his work and find it to be well worth the price. And, yes, a Casio is cheaper and tells better time....but in 1982 (pre dive computer), I had a Casio start beeping and displaying unintelligible symbols 130' underwater and I'll never wear another one when my life depends on it.
In gun-speak: you can have the home mechanic who kind-of fixed the brakes on his '69 Camaro thread your muzzle for a $1K titanium suppressor, or you can take it to Bert. I'd probably opt for the latter.

well, yes. I also like to do things the hard way.
The old jeep (2007), has the battery tucked away under lots of plastic, not easy to access. The new jeep actually has the battery inside under the passenger seat floor board. Go figure. There are remote jump start terminals under the hood though.
I like using the rubber welding cable 4 ga, it's more flexible in the cold than the plastic cables from the store. Better clamps too.
I build and attach a Plug/Pigtail to the jeep, then these cables can just be plugged into that. No worries on that end of getting things reversed or shorted out. Peace of mind knowing that one end isn't going anywhere when using it. I've got the same setup on three vehicles. custom length, I think this set was 17 feet. I solder all the connections so they don't come lose. (wiring nerd)
Total i think was $130. A bit cheaper than I see online.

Okay, shot it yesterday in a break during the PITA State shoot. OMG, what a fun-gun! I cleaned it up, put some Wolff Springs in it, and the trigger is now LIKE BUTTAH!!!
Put 100 reloads through it at the Pawnee Cowboy range. What unmitigated fun. I'd forgotten how dirty shooting revolvers was. So what, it was FUN!
I did some close in stuff, then went out to the gongs. Once I figured out that I only needed to line up on the POA line on the distant gong, it was GTG.
Boy, I love me some Police trade-ins! Thank you Victoria, Australia PD! Your trade-in is my gain!
