Did you replace or plastidip it? I could have wrapped the chrome with some black vinyl, thats what I did with mine and its still going strong, 4 years. Cheaper than buying a new one.
Replaced. The chrome grille had 2 broke tabs that stemmed from the ass hat who backed into the truck, which started the whole bumper replacement.
Fortunately, the Insurance paid me out for a OEM Chrome Grille, and I was able to pick up the black one, plus the black bowtie for far cheaper.
How cost effective is plastidip, and how durable? My next step is the rear bumper, that's the last bit of chrome on the truck.
Replacing it with an aftermarket one to match the front is an option, but it is a pain in the ass with all the backup sensors and what not.
My thought process is to have someone pull the stock bumper off and powder coat it black.
How much land asmo?
10 acres.. Its not a lot - but way more than I have now.. Now I just have to build something on it.

I was the asshat that rear-ended somebody a while ago, and I went ahead and got the front bumper replaced with a color matched bumper. Now the only chrome on mine is the rear bumper as well. Color matched bumpers look so much better. I hate chrome.
You have a very sweet lookin' truck there, btw.

Neat! Where did you get it?
Neat! Where did you get it?
I've been planning on a PPS for carry (CHP pending) for many years, but it isn't a California friendly "safe handgun" so I won a Gunbroker auction while I was still in Cali and had it shipped to Dragon Man. I picked it up when I got here. Somehow I got one of the one thousand run First Editions (#401) for pennies more than the regular model. 0.9" wide and feels infinitely better than a Glock 26. The quality difference is shocking. You're welcome to try it!

Plus oil change and alignment. Don't know how my truck was still running as good as it was, as 3 of the plugs were cracked, and a couple of the electrodes were burnt nearly all the way down. Truck still runs great, but has a little bit more get up and go. Will pick up an air filter today, hopefully I can break the 20MPG mark now.

Just a plain 'mil-spec' lower. I believe the GEN reference is to differentiate them from their predecessors. Each gen has something improved over the last that was considered a weak point. A little more about them can be found here:

I just wanted to be able to store a couple of handguns conveniently in this location without buying a new electronic safe. This is right next to my desk in my office already. Before I moved here it had junk gun parts, but I store them elsewhere now. It was a bit bigger than I expected, but extremely sturdy with a modification I made behind the visible area.

Just about out of my AA5, seems like this should be good, will work up a few test loads for it this weekend. Only negative i've seen about it related to lead bullets. I'm only loaded plated, so should be good there.
I did see some people not liking it for 45acp, so I might save my remaining AA5 for the 45, and start using the titegroup for 9.

It all depends on the thickness of whatever you're screwing into. There should be directions in your kit that explains everything, i.e. the length of screw, where to set your depth stop, and how far away from the edge to place your jig.

Most of the injuries are caused from folks not realizing they're wound up with a bit of tension. With the right tools and knowledge, it's very manageable. I do them almost monthly on trucks and trailers and have done a few garage doors. As Rooski stated, knowledge is key.

You're correct about "untrained," in a way. More like no common sense and safety in mind. Wrong tool. You're lucky to have avoided serious injury.

HD and Lowes sucks. They don't sell any torsion spring door parts cause some doofus might (and many have) hurt themselves.

And there's your answer. Correct tools and knowledge.
FWIW, I have replaced many torsion springs without incident using the proper tools and a little common sense. In this case, I have a clopay door setup with the EZ Set springs and it's pretty much almost impossible to hurt yourself unless you just flat out don't know lefty loosey, righty tighty. Sad fact is that while HD will sell you a DIY door, they will not stock or sell you the springs OR cables. THAT one really pissed me off. It's a fucking cable you douche nozzle. I'm not going to hang myself with it. The worst part is sending the wife over for a cable and them giving her an tension spring cable set that 1 - is smaller and holds less weight, and 2. doesn't have the right ends on it. How safe is that you dumbfuck big box employee?
P.S. If anyone needs to order door parts. DDM Garage Doors (http://ddmgaragedoors.com/index.php) was great and it was a piece of cake to get BETTER than factory springs all setup with cones, spacers, and ready to install. If it wasn't for finding that frayed cable after I ordered online, I would have had it all done in about an hour.

New G34. I bought the slide and slide parts while in Afghanistan a little over a year ago and put it together when I got home. It's a Lone Wolf slide with mostly stock Glock slide parts and 10-8 Performance Fiber Optic sights. I've been swapping it out on a G17 from time to time. But I finally got a complete dedicated frame from onesourcetactical.com ($180) to slap it on. I swapped in a 3.5lb connector and polished up the fire control parts to smooth it out a little more. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it out and test it all together.

How do you like it?
I use it together with the Pocket Wizard Flex TT5 and it will only work as a normal Transceiver or Receiver if the Flex TT5 is programmed to recognize it which has to be done through a computer / usb......I like that it shows battery level and can shut off / on multiple PW's in zones.....I tried it as a receiver connected to my camera and was able to trigger the camera shutter release from around the corner in another room, so it works great as a remote trigger too using the proper cable connection on camera.

Tell you what I think they have a hit, this may be the final nail in the coffin of my G17 (which hardly gets shot so-as-it is) I won't get to shoot until next week but it feels great in the hand. Trigger is crisp and has a much different feel from the Glock and light years better than my M&P Shield.
It it won't replace my 226 or 220 anytime soon but I look forward to getting a Carry size chassis and ditching the Shield.
Might I ask what these are selling for at the LGS? Feel free to decline answer. Might have to pick one up in the near future.

I use it together with the Pocket Wizard Flex TT5 and it will only work as a normal Transceiver or Receiver if the Flex TT5 is programmed to recognize it which has to be done through a computer / usb......I like that it shows battery level and can shut off / on multiple PW's in zones.....I tried it as a receiver connected to my camera and was able to trigger the camera shutter release from around the corner in another room, so it works great as a remote trigger too using the proper cable connection on camera.

yes....if its set to High Speed Receive mode (HSR) trigger at rates up to 14.5 fps at 1/250 - 1/500 sec....standard mode is like 12 fps......If I had another one, I can trigger a flash or camera up to 500 meters away

That's purdy but I'm always skeptical about the electronically adjustable ones. I've got some old school Craftsman ones when they still built a decent product and they work great. Maybe I'm showing my age but some things I still like manual adjustment with and I guess torque wrenches is still one of them. Although if I had that unit I could probably be convinced otherwise. ;-)

I just wish I could still find some of the $1 off two bags coupons. My son has at least 6 baseball games in the next few days, I'll go through a lot of seeds.

Over the past 12yrs I've used craftsman, Gearwrench, Matco, Mac, Proto, and Pittsburgh tq wrenches on a daily basis. We've been putting my buddy's "e-wrench" to the test against others that have been calibrated a lot more regularly than his and I've come to the conclusion that these digi wrenches are tits, man! Only wrench we've been able to verify as a legit POS was on old Cornwell I picked up from a pawn shop.

How did you manage a head separation with 9mm?
With Hi-Point anything is possible....
Except for accuracy. Accuracy is definitely not possible. But everything else is possible.
Oh, except for reliability. That too, not possible.

I've had one of the incogs for well over a year now... Got the mag caddy.. Not a fan of the mag caddy.
I've since stopped using the mag carrier, just prints too much and flops around it feels like. Went from using both of the hooks to one and it's turning into an alright holster. Not a fan of the 'kydex wing' that sticks out with the mag carrier removed from the bottom of the holster. Need to cut it off and figure out a way to smooth it down.

I got a cheapy 48", BUT it fits inside my ride. I have it bolted to the floor where the rear seat passengers would put their feet. Never have to worry about weather protection.
