How long that tag good for? Mine's good for 3 and it cost maybe 1/3 of an annual CO tag, with no emissions crap to worry about.

Standing desk mat (Topo by Ergodriven). Expensive, but the reviews indicate it's worth it. Have a flat mat for my desk at work, but feel like a contoured mat will provide me more options for standing since I tend to shift my weight all the time when standing.
Reason: If I want to continue recovering from spine surgery and hopefully push a fusion farther down the road than 5-10 years, then I have to be extremely careful with my back and stand whenever possible.

Picked up a couple boxes of these for my snubbie.
https://www.shootingillustrated.com/media/1542142/federal-premium-hst-micro-38-special-first-look-f.jpg
One cool advantage is that they're much shorter (since they're loaded like full wadcutters ... only with a huge gaping maw of a hollow-point ... well as hugely gaping as a .38 can be) so a speedloader full of these is less obnoxious floating around in my front pocket.

And yet, I was born in the 80's! Oh wait, that's not good. I can't lift more than 10-lbs, can't sit down for more than 30-min, wake up saying "owww, my back", and wear sunglasses OVER my prescription glasses. I joke with my wife that this back injury added 20-yrs to my age, I'm just embracing that statement with the sunglasses!

I just managed to drag that work bench down stairs and assemble it. It is quite well made and I am happy about how stable it is. Takes a 13mm socket to assemble the bolts.

They're out there. Took me 3 months to find a bone stock cherokee, right down to the wheels and cassette player. I looked at a few "slightly modified" the usual 2" lift etc crap.
I would have jumped on one but, no one knew anything about the mechanical side of things. it was all Umm i purchased it like that. Followed by, after asking how long they've owned it, about 6 - 8 months ago. Those to me are all warning signs, there's something needs fixing, or about to break.

There is $750 and $1000, those both went into the deal, you have taxes every month on the lease, so we did $4K instead of the $3K to keep it close to the $239 advertised
12000 per year mileage
We got GAP and they “threw in” excessive wear coverage. We all know they don’t give anything away.
I got my TRD Wheels and the tires off of CL and got a set of Smittybilt Step/Nerf bars from Amazon.
Took it off road and even though it does not have a locker, it was far more capable than the 4X4’s I have had in the past, I only had to turn around cuz I did not have any skid plates, I could have made it but did not want to risk a hole in the oil pan or gas tank.
I like the adjustability.
Me too. Most counters are just low enough for me they require a slight forward bend to do food prep, wash dishes, etc. It's just enough to kill my back. With a work surface like that, I could comfortably stand straight up for my outdoor projects.

For me I wanted a new TV stand, or at least a temporary one in the basement with a option to turn it into a work area for my 3d printers or reloading bench. I had looked at getting a larger work bench top from Grizzly tools, but the cost of shipping was added enough cost to make this work bench a much better deal. With the height adjustment I have the ability to adjust it to the perfect height for any task I want.
I recommended this work bench to a friend of mine in Texas, she will be using it as counter in the kitchen. A bit of red neck in style, and there was talk about using Harbor freight tool boxes under the table for storage.
I've seen exactly that kind of kitchen setup, and it's great. You can wheel the tool boxes out of floor cleaning, or even to be closer to what you need at the time.

TOYODA TACO-MA
The special lease SR was out of stock, so I had to bump SR5. Problem was SR5 was only available in black. So , I had to upgrade it to TRD Sport.
At a same cap reduction etc, the payment was 258+tax (from 239+tax).
Toyota STILL does not include Gap insurance on their lease. SO, I had to buy $8/mo gap insurance.
When you lease a toyota, remember to add ~$8/mo extra relative to any other lease.
Sad news is that M3 is now gone. I originally got a $1000 less than what I was EXPECTING (not what I wanted for a car), but bumped about $500.
They will send me a check for the vehicle trade. From the car trade, $3000 was used for total tacoma down (cap reduction, etcetc).

Yep, typically more than a factory glock, but I also don't build with factory parts so I end up with a custom gun with nice parts for a lot less than buying a glock and then replacing OEM with aftermarket parts.
Also, to get the double undercut and fancier stippling on a factory frame will cost an extra $175-350+ depending on the shop you use.
You can get a build down to $600 without any sale pricing for decent, not super custom parts off of Midway. Watch for some sales, and you can actually get it down even lower.

Victorinox ?Cadet? with the alox scales. I liked the Victorinox ?Waiter? that I acquired so much, that I picked up something a bit slimmer and better looking. I find most of my tasks don?t require a large folder, so I figure I can save the edge on that for the heavier tasks that come along. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190925/1018064e7f6979dcc9e47b33c9353dcf.jpg

Been awhile since I've posted in here so these are the latest purchases:
The work truck needed some love since I bought it so it got some new wheels, new headlights, new fog lights, radio/backup camera and a remote start for this winter coming up.

Almost a month later, the wheels/tires showed up from my other truck. The warehouse that supplies Discount Tire kept sending the wrong ones but they finally got it right. I'd recommend anyone to go see them as they treated me 100% right during the ordeal and gave me some money back for the hassle.

Very cool!
Went to the big boy fun store today and picked this up. It's going to be some yard art, and a dueling tree.

Looks like the one my wife bought at Sam's (except it's black). It's as heavy as a couple of my rifles.
I've got the Sam's version in black, as well (doesn't have the logo on it, but construction/config looks the same). Does that have handles on both short ends, I don't remember if mine does?
ETA: I wouldn't mind adding a tan one to the collection.
That looks really nice. I don't like my hard case. I need to make my foam slightly more thin.

Well, sold off the Road King as my long distance riding days are behind me but I still wanted something fun to run around on or day rides. 2017 Sportster Roadster that was done as a build-off competition by the dealer. Stage 1 performance work (intake, exhaust, plug wires, tuner), cafe style seat/cowl. I added the swing arm bag to carry extra gloves, glasses and jacket liner. Haven't stopped grinning-light, nmble and fast enough [Coffee].
Got some slightly higher bars and different grips on order. 940 miles on it.

Nice . Shades of the old XR900 iron head sporty.
When I moved here in ‘84 I had a ‘83 XR1000 and a ‘64 DuoGlide. Sold the DG shortly after but kept the XR for 5 more years, that was a fun ride. Was out most of today-pure joy-and after a meeting in the morning I plan on running up through the foothills, at least until Thursday it’s a good week to be off.

Have put 0 miles on it yet, but I was able to turn tighter when testing it on dry pavement. And was able to back into my gravel area in 2 wheel low :)
Mainly looking to reduce wear on my CV shafts/joints, and if I put a locker in the front I can unlock one to allow some differentiation
I did the same thing, for the same reasons. Also, after driving around with the front drive shaft removed, it felt like a whole new vehicle.

How large a brisket? Game meat is naturally lean so you have to experiment with different cuts.
I'd wet marinate it. Here's one for an 8lb. But you'll see they finish off using liquid. Since it's your 1st one i'd err on the side of caution and do a small, say 3-4 lbs one.
http://www.huntingseasonready.com/smoked-moose-brisket-recipe/
They're using beef stock. I can tell you from personal experience. Unless the beef stock is your own. That canned stuff, even the low sodium gives you a salty finished product, like real salty. I figure you do your own beef and poultry stock. If not 1/2 the called for amount and go with water for the other 1/2 .
With this one different spices, they still finish off with liquid, as they say to hydrate the meat.
https://www.americanhunter.org/articles/2019/3/9/recipe-smoked-moose-brisket/
FWIW: with game meat, depending on thickness of cut. I'll smoke for an hour then finish on grill, or pan.
If it were me, I'd start off with a pork shoulder to get the details figured out with the Weber.
All great advice, fellas, thanks. I have 3 pork shoulders so might do one of those first. G-K, thank you for the recipes. I had no idea about the two stage cooking process. The brisket pieces I have are about 4 lbs. Also have some 3-5 lb. chunks of neck and shoulder. I might use bacon like I do with steaks to add fat and flavor.
Yesterday we cooked shoulder meat in the crock pot to make a Moose Stroganoff. It was surprisingly tender and good.
I hope to get an elk this year. It's clear out the freezers time. We still have a little from 2017. On Friday I grilled some elk tenderloins from 2016 and 2011. I don't know how I missed that package from 2011, but it was vacuum sealed and double bagged. Both tender as can be.
I remember that 2011 cow elk. When I went back the next morning to pack it out I followed big bear tracks for a mile to my elk quarters. In anticipation of a scavenger bear I had tied the legs & spine/rib section together with baling twine. The bear chewed on the meat some but couldn't drag it off far because all the pieces were tied together. Now I always do that.

follow gman's advice and do something simple, like ribs. You throw that or any brisket on an as of yet down to a science cooker and who knows what you'll end up with. Especially with those bullet smokers.
I suggest you get a temp gauge for the top and side, this way you can monitor temps across the entire unit.
Google "weber smoker discussions" and you'll find a lot of tech tips to get what you put in there done right.
Start here. if you get an extra grill grate you can use it with a pan wrapped with foil to catch the drippings. I like a heavy pan with foil. This makes it easier to work with, besides a cheap flimsy foil pan.

Total out of pocket $39.
Possibly the least amount I?ve ever spent on a firearm.

Thanks for the link. There's apparently a wealth of info out there on using these popular smoker grills. I've read about them for years on several hunting and gun forums. When I found this almost new unit for $89 on a local mountain forum I snatched it up. There's obviously a learning curve and I'll need some accessories but I'm going for it. Good food is always worth the effort.

My wife has made some amazing homemade moose stroganoff! Definitely do the pork shoulders first. Those are easy and hard to screw up!
Not a purchase, since I'm just borrowing them for this upcoming hunt. The county is much bigger than my muzzleloader hunt and these 10x42 should serve me better than my old auto focus Bushnells (left) that are only 7x30something. I do love the auto focus binos though. I don't know why they aren't more popular. I assume something to do with glass clarity, but I really like mine.

I picked up the Vortex DB HD 8x32 and the Crossfire HD 10x42 this year. I much prefer the 8x32 and, of course, they're so much smaller and lighter.
The clarity of the DB HD are noticeably better than the Crossfire HD, I thought they were supposed to be the same clarity-wise, just the DB are lighter.
I'm sure I'm end up buying a pair later. Buddy said he got his on sale from Optics Planet for something like $180.

I think you can find a better deal, if you search for it. I liked OP till they started taking money and not delivering in a timely manner.
The final straw (for me) was them charging my card for an in stock item. Then having the balls, or ovaries as it may be to email me.
Informing me the in stock item has an 8-12 week expected time of delivery.
Told them cancel the order, which a few back n forth emails insisted they couldn't So i called my cc co and they terminated the payment, based on emails i sent them.
Like midway, they're on my No Buy list.
Those are vastly better, Irving, and better for your eyes. Use them for a while and you'll never use the auto focus again. With practice you'll find that the 10x42 delivers more from details of antler points, movement at distance or birds in the forest. Use them constantly as you stalk through the woods and you'll be amazed at how much more you can see. As with any optics buy the best you can afford.

That's an awesome looking place, CS1983. Good for you guys!
The land is great. House needs some work before we move in (scrape popcorn ceilings, paint wood paneling, new flooring). I ripped out all the carpet in prep for EVP. Here’s a mock up of what it will look like with the EVP inside.
Kitchen is already painted. Living room needs paint.

Definite deer activity on property. Oklahoma is a tagless hunting state when it comes to your own property, so I could theoretically just go hunt anytime during the proper season without having to have a tag.
About 9 acres pasture, 8.5 woods, and 2.5 “yard”.
I’ll be looking to get a small tractor soon.

Make sure you test the popcorn ceiling for asbestos before you scrape it.
Having a contractor do it.

I absolutely love harbor freight. I know they sell cheap stuff but it works great for me. I bought one of their 300 piece tool kits over two years ago and broke a few, lost a few and needed to replace them. I walked in with my receipt and the broken tools. The lady told me to get new ones off the shelf and that the receipt was not needed for warranty items. I also bought the replacements that I lost and a pick-set all for less than $8 OTD. 20% coupon and my free flash light [LOL].

I needed the pick-set in order to remove a coil boot that got stuck on one of the plugs that I was changing on the Tundra. Thankfully O'Reilly's had some in stock since it ripped and no one else in town did.

Road noise = yes
I almost went with Cooper ST MAXX same size 255/85r16, but Big-O couldn’t get their act together. The Coopers are quieter. I have Falken Wildpeak AT3W’s on my Tacoma and I really like them, quiet, good traction, but they don’t make them in the size I wanted for the T100. If they make the Wildpeaks in the size for the Tundra, I do not think you would be disappointed

I've been wanting to upgrade my tires on the Tundra with some M/T's but just worried about road noise since its my daily driver and snow traction. It currently has new Pathfinder AT's (on it when I bought it) but I am not overly impressed with them. My Duramax has Nitto Ridge Grapplers and I like them a lot but they are pricey. Googling around, I found these and I really can't find any bad reviews. For $520 shipped, they might be worth the gamble.

The Falken Wildpeaks are quiet, 3 peaks snow rated, and I got up Moody to the first ledge in 2WD at 32psi.

That’s a sweet tractor BG. I have the little brother, 1025R TLB. Amazing what they can do. I’ve had it a couple years and moved hundreds of tons of rock, sand, road base, etc with it. The backhoe is unbelievable. I remember helping my dad as a kid dig holes for hours to plant trees. Now just a few quick motions I’ve got the hole ready!
It’s amazing how quickly your neighbors and friends notice you own a tractor!

Debated for days on getting that one. I just needed a little more juice under the hood.
I used to have this movie poster in college. Don't even know where I got it. I would mess with my roommates by hanging it up behind their doors or in the laundry room in the basement or something. My daughter is about to find out about how much fun this is. My only regret is that I already told my wife. If I could find one without all the words, that'd be even better.

Yep I wanted the bigger one but knew what I got would do the job, and it has done amazing. And I figured after it’s done with the tough stuff there wouldn’t be a whole lot of projects left that require anything bigger so I saved the $$ buying the smaller one. Plus it’s green so you know it’s the best!

Plus, they're easier to find parts for IF something breaks. I wanted a tractor, priced a few, compared buying to renting when needed. Renting won out, t the guy down the road has a nice kubota, he's more than happy to drop by with as needed. Buy< Rent< Buy the neighbor a tankful of fuel. mmm
Still. The spouse saw a bobcat with a 4 sale sign. Turns out she just happen to be driving by when the owner was out, go figure.

I use my tractor at least once per week. The forklift attachment is amazing. I go around now just looking for heavy shit to lift.
Dug a gas line trench for my neighbor yesterday. Road maintenance is a constant thing during the winter. Renting certain implements (like a tiller in the spring) makes sense.
If money was no object I'd have a skidsteer, too. And maybe a Ventrac.

I nicked a shaft on the current one which caused a leak. The rebuild kit is $220 so I decided to take the opportunity to upgrade instead. Rear steer would be nice but that's a lot of time and money, maybe some day. I'll have to check out that group.

Once you go PCIe NVME SSD, it's really hard to go back to anything else.
That PCIe NVME SSD is my current boot device. It was not until I tried to move VM work areas onto the 5T laptop drive did I figure out dang, that thing sucks...and what is broken... On files about 2 gig files it works ok...on 100 gig files - it starts off fast and drops speed after 5 mins.
I thought my motherboard or new case had bad ports for the USB 3.0 setup. Also Windows 10 has a monster of a memory leak when you copy files....the OS chewed thru about 58 gig of ram. when I did the copy over night Found a nice program that will let me clear that memory pool.
79441
my plans are to see if I can use my ebook to allow me to see more hardware info while the car is running. Scan gauge sort of displays.

Are they all junk? The handle does look a little fragile, hope I don't have issues. For a $40 unit it seems very solid though

Pass the butter and I could go to town on that. Nice job.
Got a new to me vehicle a couple weeks ago. 2019 4Runner TRD Trail Premium w18k. Traded up from a 2006 Tacoma TRD, could not believe what they gave me in trade for it.

Quiet compressor. Well not as quiet as the smaller version, but way more quiet than my old Kobalt. I can actually be right next to it without hearing protection.

Hope it was as quiet as I led you to believe.
Quiet enough. They had a smaller version at the store, with less power and half the CFM, that thing is 65db and really quiet. This thing is 70db, so approx 2-3 times as loud as the small version. But I need to blow out sprinklers once a year so need the larger one. Honestly I dont feel bad running this now with the garage doors open.
Also the old comp would need new inner tubes or wheels, plus over time would start loosing air. With the sale and tax it was $150 to upgrade. This thing has cord and hose keepers, so well worth it to me. Plus it should lasts another 12 years like the last one. Again tannks for the tip.

A used vehicle, and half wore out already!
(Congratulations! And I'm interested in the trade numbers too. Looking to get another Tundra in a couple years.)

Wanna know as well.
I know one of forum member here went from taco to 4runner as well.

Well as I said it was a 06 Tacoma TRD Off Road. It was in pretty good condition, I had bought it in late 07 with 23k on it and at trade in time it had 153k. It was a manual 6 speed and only a access small rear door model. Also had a color matching Snugtop topper. Tires were bald.
Only damage was caused by my own hand last year. I had pulled into a office parking lot to take a phone call and when leaving side swiped one of the parking lot bollards pretty good. I had it repaired but with everything getting a Car Faxed now, and I was very upfront with the salesman, I really thought I would get a lot less money for due to the accident.
They came back with their offer of 7,200.00. Left that night with the papers signed.

Special limited edition. It includes a CD in a trifold digipak video brochure, as well as a rechargeable 4" HD screen with exclusive video footage, a USB charging cable, a 2-watt speaker, a 36-page booklet and a digital MP3 download card.
I still can barely see the Tool font.

Just a cheap guitar. An alcohol-induced online purchase, for a good price. The damn thing is easier to play with better projection than my “good” guitar, so I’m happy.
