I bought the wood and materials to make this new work bench in the back part of my garage.

Also pictured, even though I didn't 'buy' them, are new shop lights that were given to me by a friend. Just had to wire them up and hang 'em.

Up next is to mount that Reznor 75,000btu heater in the left side of the picture and then add outlets and overhead cabinets for the work bench.

It's a mess right now. I just threw crap on the shelves and bench once I finished to be able to get my truck into the garage with my trailer on it. the trailer wheels stop about 2' from the gray mat so I had zero room for all the crap that was on the floors. I plan to get things organized better and go through stuff to see what I can keep and what needs to get tossed/sold. Don't let this photo fool you.. it's plenty messy. [Tooth]

That is a sweet cartridge. I like the 6.8 SPC, just don't like the cost of the ammo. I'm looking into a 300 blackout upper just after the first of the year. Nice lookin' blaster you got there! [Beer]

The monolithic upper made by Mega, isn't being made anymore and is really rare to find. The piston kit is just a normal Adam's Arms pitson set up. The thing about this, is I have been looking for a Mega for quite a few months now, all I had found was a bunch of over priced ones. Last night I found this new upper, and new piston system, for less than both of them cost from the store. [Beer]

Hopefully my daughter will go shooting with me more often once this is finished. For the longest time she wanted a pink Crickett but was too big for it, she ate this up though. She's totally into the whole Walking Dead/zombie thing. This kit also came with Magpul stock, FVG, and forearm to match.

If you keep that bottom rifle get rid of that grip/light combo mount as soon as humanly possible even if that means throwing it in the trash can. Having a trigger activated weapon light is the worst idea ever.

I think you missed the point entirely. It's a dangerous part. Don't believe me, do a search on the world wide web and you'll see I'm not the only one who thinks this way. Having a trigger mechanism in one hand for illumination and a trigger mechanism in the other hand for death in a self defense situation is just a bad idea. Period. I don't care if you added it or if it came with the rifle or where you got it or any of that crap. Just giving you a tip so you don't accidentally shoot someone trying to illuminate your house in a home defense situation. I wasn't accusing YOU of anything or calling YOU anything so I don't understand all your posts trying to defend yourself against... nothing.

Don't agree with me? Fine, move on. End of discussion. It doesn't need to be this long drawn out battle on a picture of what you bought today thread.

Just some simple advice you can choose to take or not. Easy as that.

That's another thing on the list. I need to yank our toddler size toilets that were installed when we built our house and put some man-size thunder mugs in. I want elongated and whoever designed the current toilets that are so popular was NOT a man. I hate my donger laying on the front inside of the toilet and no man would have designed a toilet like that. That or at least he didn't sit when he pee'd. Dunno. [Tooth]

Pro tip: buy one of those add-on bidets. Just got a couple from Amazon during a deal a while back and wow what a difference. The only way I can describe it is when you do some yard work or something get all muddy or dirty do you wipe your hands with a paper towel and call it good or do you wash up with water? Same thing. I haven't used toilet paper since we got them. Wait... are men supposed to talk about such things? [Swim]

This is my first NFA project. Will have the lower tonight that I can submit paperwork on. Paperwork is all filled out (except for the SN of the new lower), trust is set up, and more parts are on the way! In 6 months or so, I can join the NFA club! lol [Coffee]

In the meantime, I have a pistol buffer tube on the way. [Roll1]

Final setup will be along these lines: everything you see above, with a MIAD grip, JP Enterprises 7" handgaurd, Noveske kx3, and probably something along the lines of an Aimpoint micro or Trijicon RMR. Still taking suggestions if you have any. [Beer]

See those pink dots? There are two 15" pipe covers on the right, two 18x12 steel plates on the left @600yd. Zero'd at 200 yds then banged steel at 600 with mil holdover. I'm still working dope on my .308 700P LTR bolt gun and was actually doing better with the Sig this day with plain old PPU battle ammo.

My dad gave me a Kabar when I shipped out for Desert Storm. I passed it down to my nephew when he shipped out to Afghanistan. I know there are better knives out there, but the Kabar holds a special place in my heart. Finally got another one, and the world is now a little bit better.

Here's my latest toy - a Dixie Gun Works Trapdoor Springfield Saddle ring Carbine reproduction, by Pedersoli. Found it in Ron Peterson's in Albuquerque. It looks brand new, I don't think it was ever fired. I wouldn't have known it was used, except for the tag.

Been looking for a good pair of inexpensive electronic ear pro for a while and I came across Howard Leight R-01526's and I was really impressed, I read up on them, looked at prices, found a few review's, one of which by my Favorite Firearms fanatic on YouTube, NutNFancy.

Watched a few others, and like NutNFancy, I also run foam plugs under my ear pro most of the time.

Picked up the case today and the sling came friday! Its a Drago double rifle case, looks pretty decent, and the sling is an Urban ERT which I can't say enough about their slings, great quality and comfortable.

I have a Drago short and thought they were pretty nice for short money, so I picked up a SigSauer logo'd long with 2 pmags on their special deal. The Sig (Drago) sewing on this second bag is atrocious. Everything is crooked, handles are offset, I'm going to get them to replace it.

Thats not good to hear, this one wasnt cheap at $85. I may return it and just order the 5.11 case, but my lack of patience got the better of me.

I would hang onto it unless it's AFU. I do really like the Drago and the first is nice. It's just this Sig logo bag I just got that's a wreck. They had them for $99 shipped with 2 pmags. I picked up the first one secondhand here for like $45 as I recall, so I did have the opportunity to check it over.

Not really a 'system' exactly. Those systems that are sold as a package unit suck for the most part. I cringe whenever someone tells me they got a security system at Costco/Sam's/Walmart/insert big box store name here. What you see there is cameras paired with 3rd party software for PC & mobile phone to allow real-time viewing and recording from all of the above as well as instant movement detection notification. You can even log in from an internet connection anywhere to view. If you're in the market let me know as I've done lots of installs on the side for people and businesses. Cameras run about $100 per, the software will set you back $50-$100 (one-time) depending on what route you go for which devices and then my time to install is less per hour than what an average electrician charges.

If you think that looks good you should see my HTC Evo LTE. Having 9 cameras displayed in thumbnail on your home screen is pretty handy and blows people's minds. [Coffee]

The PC software I use primarily is Blue Iris. The software will work with most camera manufacturers but the cameras I use most are Foscam's IP WiFi cameras and have had the best luck. The built-in firmware makes emailing still images on motion a snap. Not the easiest to set up for reliability but that's where I make my money.

I've lusted after a Special Combat Gov't Carry model for years. Finally found a very nice, lightly used one.

It's everything a 1911 should be (OK...except the ambi-safety) and, after a brief range session, appears to be able to shoot with any 1911 out there.

Adds a bit of flavor and a whole lot of heat to the vodka. I primarily use it for Bloody Mary's, but it also goes well in a dirty vodka martini.

It also works well for stripping paint.

Here is the latest purchase. HSGI bleeder blow out pouch. Contents so far, 6" izzy, combat gauze, and a 30 fr NPA. Outside has a cat, and a benchmade rescue hook 7. Plan on swapping out for a 4" izzy, so I can get a zpac gauze in there as well.

I work as an EMT, adn I won't carry a decompression needle, I know the dangers of doing it wrong. and as far as chest seals, I have the plastic wrapping of the izzy, the combat gauze, or the zpac gauze when I get it in there. Three sided oclusive dressing, tried and true.

It has brackets for a steering wheel and pedals. Makes for a better racing feel, and has the added advantage of not needing to bolt/unbolt those items to a desk every time you want to game.

I use a wheel and pedals when I do racing games, because it provides better control than a keyboard or console controller.

Also, pedals tend to wander away from you as you use them if they are just sitting in the floor. I typically half to pause somewhere in the middle of the race so I can drag the pedals back within reach.

I was planning on making my own as well, but by the time I figured out the cost of the materials I wanted to use, the time to get it done, and how it'd look when finished it was cheaper and easier to buy one.

I wasn't too sure how nice this one would be, but I am very impressed I'd give it a 9/10 for quality, damn thing weights 70lbs. My only complaint is that the shifter mount puts the shifter too close and you end up rubbing your leg on the mount. It would have been better off 3" further to the right.

$70 for a keyboard tray
$125 for surround sound brackets
$60 for a monitor holder is acceptable. It's a damn shame no LED monitors have VESA brackets, though...

$609.80 for my preferred setup and I'd still have to make my own monitor tray.

Maybe an xp machine that is otherwise like modern. But I suspect by now its win 7/vista minimum. I stayed with xp for a very long time but as a gamer it's pretty much win 7 standard now. Skipping vista was nice. Should be able to with a computer geek's help build a 64bit windows 7 machine that can handle all the current gen stuff for reasonably cheap especially if you can reuse older cases etc, dont have to buy new monitors etc.

If you buy cutting edge at the right time you can make that computer last a good 2 years usually before it has to be replaced for gaming purposes. (As opposed to buying cheap to play a game now but in 6 months already struggling or replacing parts. )

It is Borderlands 2. Was hesitant to get it, since I didn't like the original. But after watching some gameplay vids, and a couple of my friends telling me they were getting it, I caved and bought it.

I didn't lake the first one myself,this one looks like better graphics and gameplay.
I have to do a rebuild on my current system though.It's 5 years outdated,still screams with some of the older games but starting to feel the age with some of the new ones out.

Got rid of the 2-stroke and got a 4-stroke. 2001 Yamaha YZ426 on the right and my brothers 1998 YZ400 on the left. This is my first dirt bike and let me know tell it is a whole different game in the dirt vs street. Dirt is a lot more forgiving than pavement [Coffee]. I have been to almost all the tracks up north (Berthoud, Erie, Milliken) and some trail riding.
