Just in case I go bigger (6" lift with 40's) in the future [Coffee]

All you need is a medium sized bottle jack to changed tires, even 40s. I have used my high lift exactly one time, to dismount my tires from my beadlocks.

I've only used mine once and it was worth every penny.

Friend hauling an ATV in the bed of his 94 Dodge/Cummins slid part way off the trail on a sidehill in 2' of snow. Neither of us had winches. If we hadn't had the highlift, we would have been in trouble.

For $80... I figured "Buy once. cry once."or "Get more bang for your buck!"

The only thing that kinda sucks is storing it... but there are more advantages that over weigh that. Yea... I couldn't pass up on a good deal[Beer]

the flip up sights actually let me see my target....the screw to mount the GoPro just clears the line of sight.....This curved bracket has a slot down the middle which lets me position the GoPro in various ways on bracket.
I got different odd shape brackets laying around from my camera gear stuff.....going to try different brackets for different views to see what I come up with.....My first GoPro camera so experimenting with it

They came out great. Midway had a sale on them for $28 each with free shipping so I couldn't pass them up. Blade is sharp, lock up is tight, blade is smooth when opening, and everything feels of good quality. Very happy with my purchase. Yeah, not fond of much of the stuff on there. Trying to decide between wood forend or poly all around. Will likely replace the PG with a US Palm.

I actually found an Uncle Mike's reinforced model for $26. I know it's more of a knock-off, but I figure it'll last me long enough to grab a Wilderness. I don't think the ring thingy on the buckle would actually stand up to as much abuse as the "good" brands, but I don't really plan on rappelling from a helicopter by my belt any time soon.

Funny that you posted this, I was just out in my garage looking at how much wasted space I had above the garage doors and thought it would be nice to get my building materials (wood, dry wall, etc) from various corners and spots and up there. The shelf I got is $150 for one more day, then it goes back to $200 on Monday. It is 4x8' and you can select the vertical drop from 12" to 48". The company that makes them also sells a few other sizes, but only the 4'x8' ones are at costco. The 4'x8' is rated to hold 600lbs, evenly distributed.

Nope, it's at 22" if you include the Troy Claymore that is NOT pinned, so legally it is closer to 20.5" or so? And come on, a 300 BLK pistol is awesome. I'm going to get an upper in 5.56 so it'll go over 26" as a backup.

It has a clamp on the controller that you stick your iPhone into and you run an app that gives you the camera view, and you can control the camera from it as well. Snap pics, start/stop video, change settings, adjust camera angle.

I got my non-rotating anti-walk KNS pins in. They installed very easily. I did one breakdown pin, but only so I could tilt the hammer as the spring change the angle as I was changing it. They're smaller than I expected, which is good.

I was looking into either a .223 or a .308 rifle when this came my way locally so I bought it to shoot 100 rds to try it and sell again.

Shot it today and its a keeper..

they are damn accurate, recoil is almost non-existent and they're fun to shoot. depending how deep you're invested, there's conversion kits some places are real proud of their product
http://www.hkparts.net/shop/pc/HK-USC-to-UMP-Conversion-Parts-c229.htm an hour or less surfing should give you an idea if the conversion is something you want to invest in.

I agree with your description, that is why I decided to keep it.
For now still learning to use the iron sights - husband wants to buy a scope or red dot for it. I think adding a scope might make it too accurate, ha.

Not sure what the advantage of a conversion is yet?

I do tell you that what I woul love to be able to do is turn the USC into full auto - but not for these civilian hands here, unfortunately.

On .45 acp rifles, my dream weapon to acquire is the Des Lisle Carbine:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsUALdGog4U

But the USC will do for now.

I got that safe queen ( it had been sitting in guy's safe for the past 7 years so he decided to let go ) with the tool worth $100, 5 mags $56 each and manual for a $1500 face to face local transaction. Didn't even have to spend gas money to go get it.

No a bad deal, since mags were included. The conversion turns it from a USC to ump style rifle. However for the cost, i'd buy a decent small red dot, more ammo and get lots of trigger time in.

Absolutely, If it is just a style over substance conversion I would rather put the money in towards quality trigger time.

In fact this weekend we were researching optics and for next purchase were between:

I think I prefer the scope sights but the red dot price and how compact it is is very attractive.

Completely loaded with the works; low miles, fuel injection, IRS, winch, bumpers, skid plates, etc. I had to make a 16 hour round trip to get it but it literally looks brand new. The white one is my brothers 2014 BF 750. Can't wait to get it out.

$49.95 ( Half price ) plus $10 shipping.

Not a Bushnell:

Have not tested yet because it was supposed to come with battery included and it was not so I have to chase customer service. The shipping was $7.99 but the postman said it was underpaid by $3.48

I did get it within 4 days, though.

$1500 face to face.

Came with manual, tool and 5 mags.

I was going to just shoot to try it and resale.

It is a keeper! Worth every penny. I am now looking for one in black..:)

Maybe because of the release of the lower priced VP9 the HK market seems to be really soft at the moment.

Take advantage of the craze to get a VP9 and find something rare or more expensive like this for less.

I have even seen brand new Mark 23s for $1749 online!

Placing a plank on the rails of the upper, and the pliers in the groove, standing on the plank and pulling up I was able to get off the barrel nut with ease. My V-RS rail will be here tomorrow, and I'm all ready for it. Also my heavy buffer in a separate order to fix my single shot problem. I'll post pics tomorrow evening after assembly.

Well no shit it's expensive. You ever try to get spunk from a yak? If you haven't, trust me when I say; whatever you paid, it wasn't enough.

Someone traded me that for the scar17s. I don't even know how to ride. It's listed for sale, interested?

If you could shoot it folded I'd say so. Bit personally I'm not a huge fan since you still have to extend it to shoot.

Unfortunately on an AR, that's the only way to make it work.

Hmmm, I'm not a gunsmith but it seems like that folding lock could be a good place for problems. No buffer, no gun. I like it though!!

I shot one round for the heck of it. It shot fine with the bcg in locked position. Then I have to cycle it with the buffer tube back in place.

Like I said it's only the tacticool factor. Not much on functional except that it fits in my small back pack now.

Okay. On Labor day weekend, I decide to shop for a hard wood floors, and we made our decision to go with bamboo floors. I guess bamboo floor pricing went down recently, and it is affordable range now.
We just bought 8 boxes of bamboo floor tonight, and we need to buy about 30 more boxes. (approx 4 more trips w/ Avalon).

I read about eco brand bamboo floors, and it was rated really good. So, we went with this. Warranty is great. I know warranty doesn't mean anything, but it was Lifetime Structural, and 35yr finish warranty.
