Aaahhh, I haven't gotten my Little Orphan Annie secret decoder ring yet... next time maybe
I wouldn't waste your time or money. The total before our birthday discount and taxes was $136. I had the Elk and two Quails combo for $41. Wife had the special which is Ostrich for $35, then you can match it to anything else on the menu for a combo. She matched with the alligator tail from the appetizer menu for an additional $10. We ordered the rattlesnake queso app for the kid and that was $22. I didn't think any of the meal was good except for the quail and the cocktail sauce that the alligator tail came with. The elk just tasted like grill marks, the wild rice that came with mine was way too salty (and that's saying a lot coming from me), the caesar side salad was just lettuce and dressing. Limp lettuce and probably some mass produced dressing that was...off. It was fun to go and eat different stuff, but the taste to price ratio was appalling. It's the oldest restaurant in Denver and has a lot of cool animals on the wall. They advertise that many of their mounts are over 80 years old. What that translates to though is that a lot of them are pretty poorly done. They do have stuff you're not used to seeing mounted though, like all kinds of birds (including some ducklings), some monkeys, small animals like weasels, a whale penis, and some full cats and bears. I couldn't recommend anyone going there and would never take someone from out of town to eat there.
A side note, my wife loved the Elk and Ostrich especially and thought it was all at least fun and interesting. Kid had a lot of fun and asked a lot of ridiculous questions. There was a guy upstairs at the bar singing folk songs live. Fun atmosphere. I'm not a "foodie" of any kind, nor a food snob, but I'd take a $21 steak from Columbine Steak House any day over what we had.
But did they have the elusive Jackalope mounted?
Yeah, shoulder mounts, just heads, full mounts, you name it.

Thanks Stuving, that's good info. How was the rattle snake prepared? I have been trying to convince my wife that Ostrich is red meat and she thought I was nuts. The pictures still make me hungry as long as I don't think about the prices.
As an aside my brother has a bull penis, back in the day they would dry them out and make walking canes out of them, just to give you a visual.
I've wanted to go to the Buckhorn Exchange for a while now. Just doesn't make much sense for me because my wife isn't a very adventurous eater. If she would let me have a mistress then maybe I would have a dinner companion.

The bull penis is also used as a baton / defense weapon south of the border. When cut down also used as a black jack.

There is just so much I could say about a penis as a weapon. I can't imagine someone having to come home and tell the wife they were beat nearly to death with a penis.

still do, they are all over the internet for sale.
Many moons ago when I was a young lad, and before I joined the Army, I worked as a Pinkerton's security guard at a meat packing plant (funny right?) where the managers used to make/sell the bull penis canes. They stretched them over all thread and made twisty designs, etc. Some straight, some curved on the handle end, etc. After curing I think they would sometimes stain them, put poly or something on them, perhaps marine varnish(?), etc. and finish the ends.

Hmm if you don't mind me asking - what's something like that cost? With all the hardware and gear in this home office, it's currently 7-8 degrees warmer in here than it is 10 feet away in the hallway. I've been thinking about one-room cooling options.

Sadly no factory turbo options right now. Some aftermarket groups are trying to, but it's got 13:1 compression ratio, so it's a little bit rough for them at the moment.

Great lookin stick! How do you like that stock? I've been wondering how those feel.
I like it so far. The rubber is comfortable and offers good hold at the cheek and grip. I especially like the size and shape of the grip, somewhat narrow with a nice swell in the palm, just right for my wide hands and short fingers. Same with the slim rail. I've never cared for quad picatinny rails, too sharp and wide for me.
It's a nice lightweight shooter. Sighted it in on Thursday and ran 75 rounds through it. I've been looking at getting this rifle for a couple years. Brian was able to find one for me at a good price, so I took the leap. It's my first AR. I bought the scope and mount from Robb almost 2 years ago. (Thanks, fellas!) It seem like a great combination, I'm going to have fun with this rifle.
Next up is a suppressor, a sling and a better trigger. [Wiggle]

They had these, and the 1400rd bucket of bullets, earlier today. I was going to post the link, but once I had checked out, I went back to look and grab the link, and they were out of stock.
These were @ $.079rd delivered and the bucket was $.091/rd delivered.

And I'm planning to pick up a new 22 target pistol soon, so nice to build the 22 stockpile a little more. My final cost was (including the $10 credit I had) was 5.8 cents per round.

Guess if I would have looked at the picture, it is going on an inline 6.
Currently twin turbo N54 BMW. Running ~525/WHP.
Waiting on my rebuilt diff and new flywheel/clutch to do the drive-train, and the new LPFP (Dual Walboro 450lph).
Here are a few videos of 6266 singles on similar vehicles. The first two are E90s/E92s (3-series), so my E82 (1-series) will be about 350lbs lighter, and be running more boost with the bigger turbo (6466). The third video is an E82 right at 800WHP. The first two are heavier, as stated, and all three are running 750-800WHP. I'm shooting for right at 1000WHP.
Watching with sound is a must. The audio on the third clip is sooooo pretty.

That was one thing I miss about working for BMW was being able to road test all the Dinan products. BMW actually paid someone to drive a souped up BMW around to local dealerships around the country so employee's could tell their customers what it was like first hand. Both of these were taken a few years ago but they had almost every Dinan part available at that time. They flew.

Nice. Though Dinan doesn't hold a candle to what the true aftermarket is doing with these cars today. In fact, they never really did... but retaining your factory warranty sure was nice, even if it meant 30% less power at 300% more cost. :)

Nice. Though Dinan doesn't hold a candle to what the true aftermarket is doing with these cars today. In fact, they never really did... but retaining your factory warranty sure was nice, even if it meant 30% less power at 300% more cost. :)
What's the saying "If you can afford a BMW, you can afford anything?" Haha! They were a blast to drive and the rep made the mistake of telling me that he didn't care how I drove the car because it was my license on the line. So we took a quick drive to Mexico with the M3 to stretch her legs to 150mph. He wasn't so forgiving with 335 after the ride in the M3 with me.
Actually a gift from my awesome wife..

I'm going to season it Friday night and the first smoke will be Saturday hopefully. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on how the paint holds up.

They flew.

Picked up an Odyssey i see.
It's a Dodge Caravan. No one would budge on the price of an Odyssey, even when they were completely trashed. I was looking at 2005-2007 Odysseys and picked up this 2011 Caravan for the same or less than an older, trashed Odyssey. Some issues, but just fine for what I need it for. Also, I made sure to go to 2011, as that is the first year that they fixed all the known issues with this generation of van.

Since I got it for 22ish, I will play for ~3-6mo and sell it. I don't think I will be able to finish the game at this pace (~3-4hr per week).
I am still kinda new to PS4. Most I can play is about 90 minute straight. My eyes can't keep up. lol

Not quite a DE. I've shot them, and I won't ever own one. Despite me having massive hands, they don't fit comfortably, and the .50AE round is too anemic for the whole package.
These are STI/SVI 2011 80% frames made by a third party. They have both steel (pictured) and 7075 aluminum (in the mail) frames that require slide rails to be cut, the sear hole drilled, and the hammer hole drilled.
They are made by Limited 10 (https://www.l10-machine.com/). If you are willing to wait for a while, they put them on sale every couple of months, around a holiday.
I have a fascination with the 80% world, not to save money or avoid a 4473, but because I enjoy the challenge of doing more than screwing parts together like on an AR.

I've enjoyed the hell out of my surge. I don't wear it anymore (hence why it is for sale!) but it was kind of nice to see how I slept and calories burned. I mainly got it to see how many calories I burned and was quite surprised with the result. I figured with my gym time and work I was around burning around 2,000 a day. It told me I burning on average around 3,500 and sometimes around 4,000.

Check the sensitivity on the sleep setting... mine was set to 'sensitive' and it was showing 2 hours of sleep a night with an almost constant state of restless. On normal, it's pretty effective.

Yep, new weight lifting belt, the lever is a lot nicer for being able to get it tight without having to mess with tugging the belt to the right hole before each set, now I just flip the lever for the set and undo it after.
You got a pretty skinny waist line there. I'd see a doctor about that.
Hopefully that makes my shoulders look bigger!
Nice lever belt.
Post some 5RMs, will ya?

I'm no hoss- but working on getting better. I went back to the start on my squats 6 months ago to get proper form and depth and am still playing catch up.

Yep, several. When you get up out of bed do you sit up rigid focusing on using your abs 100% or do you use other parts of your body to complete a more 'natural' motion that is more efficient? Much like most movements they all have their place and if anyone is doing any of them I don't see the reason to hate on them for doing something active. Never understood the hate & immaturity that exists between methods of exercise.

This came up in an email for $300 shipped including BCG. I ordered one. I then reconsidered and went back and ordered another. OOS now.
If this is the 16, I picked up one of those myself a few weeks back and just assembled last weekend. Scope came in Friday, so, hoping to test here soon and then start a duracoat project for giggles.
Nice. Though Dinan doesn't hold a candle to what the true aftermarket is doing with these cars today. In fact, they never really did... but retaining your factory warranty sure was nice, even if it meant 30% less power at 300% more cost. :)
I think that's the seller right there, plus resale. I had a buddy who had a lot (10+ "points") of Dinan stuff on his E90, I don't recall what but it wasn't rims and suspension, and his was beyond the driving ability of most, IMO, including myself. Set it all up and then a year or two later dumped for a competing brand's performance line. I wouldn't hesitate to buy Dinan, but wouldn't touch "true aftermarket" myself. That said, filed under stuff my wife wouldn't let me do with her car even if I could afford it!

TFogger hooked me up good today for new rear shocks for the Harley. Progressive 444s, I had already swapped out the fork springs, needed to improve the rear end-hmm, that doesn't sound right. Anyway, Jim took care of me, amazing price installed for better than any online price for just the shocks! In and out in 30 minutes and able to do it before the rain today!! Great guy, will definitely do more business with him.
I've only been able to put on about 50 miles but the improvement in handling is outstanding (I've done similar set-ups on other bikes and expected nothing less). Before the bike kind of "wallowed" over roads, now it's much more solid and for such a "hog" it rides much more solid and smoothly. Very happy, now just need lots more days of sunshine to enjoy.

Beautiful bike Doc! If I could afford a bike, I imagine it would look very similar to yours.
Thanks, when the Fat Bob came out in '08 I took one a test ride and knew some day I'd have one. A year ago I found this one, it's a '14 and only had 3700 miles on it (trade in on a tourer). Got it right before the season took off and a price I couldn't pass on. In almost 48 years of riding this is possibly the bike that makes me the happiest.
I've always thought the Dynas were some of the best bikes in the Harley line.
Not sure it can touch the touring models on a long road trip.
Good looking bike.
I agree 100% ray. It's been a number of years since I sold my '99 Road King, as my touring days are over. Once real summer gets here I can't wait to run up the backroads to Breck or other fun spots for lunch and back. That's about the extent of my "long" rides these days LOL.

Always wanted to do that trip with dad, but I don't know how well he'd fare these days.
My dad, passed in '92, always wanted to ride a m/c with a sidecar to take his Irish Setter with him (my mom would never have gone lol). When visiting one year in Tucson I borrowed a friend's HD with sidecar and took him for a ride-he just couldn't figure out working the clutch/throttle in the parking lot so there was no way I'd let him on the street ahahaha. He looked a little like Willy Nelson (actually was a blocking double for him for the tv movie "The Highwaymen"). One of the biggest grins I ever saw on his face. Unfortunately the photos disappeared with a bunch others when the now ex moved out 21 years ago (she also tossed a bunch of my gun boxes, grrrr).

The 17 was lonely. http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w515/thvigil11/20160527_094612_resized_zpshuw6jlty.jpg (http://s1079.photobucket.com/user/thvigil11/media/20160527_094612_resized_zpshuw6jlty.jpg.html)
Love me some SCARs. New 14" looks good!

It's a Thor lower made by New Frontier for Runner Runner Guns out of McKinney Texas. They were great to work with and super prompt to ship. Quality is good, and standard LPK stuff went in fine. I'm going to assume function will be trouble free [emoji48]

I really wanted that Ionbond M45A1 in the TP...but this one came up locally. Nice gun...I hope the color grows on me. Not sure I'm in to the FDE or whatever it's called now. On the other hand, it's 1911 love from Colt so I can live with it:

Bailey, that's a beautiful gun, and I like the IKEA blue background for the photo. Maybe you could have the gun Cerakoted in blue and yellow. Sorry I couldn't stop myself. It is a nice gun and I'm jealous. I have the Colt Rail Gun 22lr version in FDE because I'm too cheap to buy a real one. And I too am not sure I like the FDE guns yet.

Ha! That's why I moved to Idaho. Not an Ikea store in the state.
Finally completed my first Form 1 suppressor. "Black Betty" is a 7.6" long, 5.56 suppressor. Gonna paint it tonight and test fire in the next couple of days. Significantly cheaper to do it this way versus a commercial can, but very time consuming.

Smart ass! I was only following the directions "COOL, clean and dry surface." [LOL]It actually gets detailed every Saturday but this is the first time I waxed the paint. I'm really OCD about my vehicles.

Thank you! It does get a lot of compliments.
Not really a purchase but new wheels. Discount scratched all 4 of my OE wheels and they replaced them with these...they're matte gunmetal in color.

Is that the one that takes pictures of the beer you have in the fridge too and tells you when to buy more?

Not 1 item planted has shown signs of breaking the surface, Nothing.
I used VHT paint I purchased at Pep Boys.
Do you find the weight unbalanced with such a long barrel and larger can on it?
No actually. Of course, I'm not typically going to be shooting this rifle from a non-supported position. The barrel is 18" and the can is only 7.6" and made from titanium. The internals are stainless steel, but it still is pretty light.
Hoping this is mine and not for a customer. It'll be a good day either way - these are always more fun vs. regular mail unboxing... :)
