Seriously though, bi-fold doors need to be phased out because they obviously can't be shipped without being damaged. Also, the "plumbing" employees are freaking' useless. I told the guy I need at least 12" from center line of faucet (where it mounts) to where the water comes out. He walked to the side of the thing, and said, that one LOOKS longer. I was holding a tape measure in my hand.

Then, I got a lecture from a lady in the aisle that faucets with a single knob are a PITA. She went on for 10min. I need a beer.

Took the backstrap off my M&P40c and was looking at how they designed the frame under the backstrap. What did I find?

It looks like a crack in the frame. [Bang]

Have to get out the camera, take a picture and I'll post it up to see if people think its actually a crack (definitely looks like one, though its possible its just the surface of the polymer frame has like a "bubble"). I really do NOT want to send it in to S&W for the next 3-4 weeks.

There is also a brown/metal color thing that looks like a patch job in the ribbing.

I don't want to call S&W asking the if its a crack, cause they'll just say "send it in and we'll look at it". Don't have a local gunsmith who could really look at it in person and decide.

Half tempted to mark the ends of the "crack" with tape or something then go shoot it a bunch and see if the size changes.

The more I look at it, I'm really thinking its just a seam or something. Transferring from the mold makes sense. I think I will mark it with some tape or heck, a sharpie and then check it again after 250-500rds.

Regarding the brown stuff, I have absolutely no idea what that is unless some brown (FDE) polymer was left in the die or something like that and it mixed with the black. [Dunno]

Actually, they CAN get rid of them: confiscation.

Turns out my FFL went to CO to collect 14 guns from the neighbor of a house he bought up there for retirement. Her son passed away in a car accident and he had 14 guns. They were all confiscated by the cops for some reason, and she had to do lots of stuff to get them back. They kept ALL of the AR/SKS/AK and a few other high-cap mags.
