Morning all
Dogs woke me up at 4am to go outside. Their incessant flapping-of-the-ears-to-use-collar-tags-as-jingle-bells is quite effective and they know it. Then again at 5:30am. And again at 7am. Got up and let them outside each time, finally just fed them and gave up on going back to bed.
And yes, we normally take their collars off but forgot last night [facepalm]

It is, but frankly, very worth it, especially if you like tinkering. I honestly wish I had gotten into it years before I did, which was just this time last year.
Think of it like another hobby. When you can't go to the shooting range, its fun to hang out in the reloading room tinkering with things, loading up some ammo, or cleaning brass. It also helps you save money once you pay off your basic equipment when you realize you can save close to 50% of the cost of store bought ammo by reloading. Especially if you purchase match/hunting ammo.
Unfortunately, there is always just one more thing to buy [LOL]

500x 115gr 9mm Bullets - $42.22
http://www.xtremebullets.com/9mm-115-RN-p/xc9mm-115rn-b0500.htm
Primers, get locally but 500 CCI Small Rifle Primers should set you back about $20.
Powder, get locally but 1lb of pistol powder should be about $25.
You already have brass.
All said and done, thats about $115 to produce 500 rounds of 9mm. Which is about the cost you'd pay at Walmart.

It was an interesting unit. very utilitarian and practical for backwoods, SHTF use. Anytime i looks at it, i pictured cowboys sitting over a fire pouring lead bullets. I gifted it to him as the decapping pin busted and he could not buy it w/out buying another kit. I acquired it in a deal for next to nothing, why not pass it on.

Probably. Michigan is pretty high up the list for obesity, while Colorado is near the bottom of that list. I grew up in Michigan and every time I go back, I can't help but notice how many people are morbidly obese.

I'm an American. This is America. Opportunity SHOULD only come to those who bust their butts and work for it. Most of the time opportunity WILL happen for someone who has earned it because that person has put in the time to get smart enough for the job they want, strong enough to tackle their obstacles, and/or they have the intestinal fortitude to stick through the hard times.
Tempered souls don't happen because of sitting around waiting. They happen because you got off your lazy butt and got dirty and got hurt, but ultimately you won the war. You have to know what it's like to lose so you don't underestimate the importance of putting in the effort.

Yes indeed.
And nice rant above. I agree, my first job at 14 and by the time I was a junior in high school, i had 3 part time jobs, as a senior I had 2 part time, 1 full time (manager at local coffee shop) and was still in school with a 3.75gpa taking classes for college credit. It wasn't even forced on me by my parents, it was just my work ethic that got me those jobs.
eta: And I've seen the laziness in my younger sister. She sat for 2 years after college graduation doing nothing, was waiting for someone to tell her how to write her resume. When I found out she didn't even HAVE a resume, I sat her down, showed her mine and said make yours now. Then started forcing her to apply everywhere and basically spoon feeding her any and all job postings I could find online.
I agree belly. I saw a picture of me shirtless and was disgusted with myself. Took 6mo but I got it off.....its been sneaking back.
I never got a job until I was....20, been working ever since, only 13 yrs (except past 2months living off savings taking a mini vacay, growing cheese in my crevices).
Belly, speaking of lazy kids and beast mode, a kid I went to school with had altered beast on his Sega. I always wanted to beat him up...
