Getting the GSD up into Mrs bo's truck with the big tires has been a PIA. Reba doesn't like to jump up in and is too big to climb nerf bars and door jamb so we bought a pet ramp and life is better. She seems to like it and I don't get pissed trying to get her in truck.
I'm looking forward to trying the Entry/Exit setting (air suspension) on our truck with our GSD.

Yep. Essentially sits down on the bump stops. Options from lowest to highest are Entry/Exit, Aero, Normal, OffRoad 1, OffRoad 2.
Just took time off for hunting/Anniversary/hunting/hunting. So I'm about to go back to not know what day it is, but not because I'm so busy with work.

Supervisor asked me to stay 1.5-hrs later in a few weeks for a design review (the type that usually last a few hours). I said I'd prefer not to on that date, as it was my birthday; if I stayed that late, I wouldn't get to see my girls at all that day and that wouldn't be a good way to celebrate my birthday.
He then asked me if I was turning 29. I said no.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be offended or excited that he thought I was going to turn 29. Does that make me old?

I’m not a big fan of anesthesia, it never really takes quite right with me. Nothing quite like remembering the sound of a hammer, hitting a chisel, as it hits my spine lol.
I've woken up while they were still sewing me up, twice. The spine surgery/s anesthesia went fine, except for the time they tipped over the IV stand and it hit me just under the eye almost knocking me out, and then put me under.
I don't like it, but the whiskey and leather wrapped stick is probably worse.
I'm convinced it does screw with your memory.
Hope you're doing well, GK.
Think I am done with CL. People want new stuff for 20cents on the dollar and then whine when a feature is missing and want you to accomodate their whiny schedules. Maybe you could ask if this product has the feature you need before saying you will take it? Frack!

A big $25 sales price that was negotiable.
Oh well, it does provide conversation fodder at the cocktail hour.

See, I thought all the sane folks moved to FB and CL was left with the scammers and folks trying to turn a buck.
CL used to be nice. I am confused what happened, because at this point the agro is not worth it.
Its nice to get some ammo money for fully servicable stuff, but not with the level of stupid. God knows when me and my familly were getting established we would buy stuff worse than bad and fix it and make do.
Maybe the economy is good enough now that folks dont bother with old stuff? Maybe they are too stupid to even clean up dusty items? Maybe folks never did and I am just a cranky old bastard?

down here it's a 15 min drive to the rez casino. Unless we go to flagstaff.
Stupid motorcycle. Lacked power with needle at nominal. Went lean on needle, no power ran ok on chocke. Went rich on needle no go. Back to nominal, runs better, wut? Run it to make sure temp stabilizes, starts running bad. Wut? Notice a little trail of fluid, great its leaking coolant. Park it, nope it's gas!
Close valve, carb stops leaking. Yep float or needle is acting up, will pull the carb, again. Crap, its nickle and diming me to death.
Need new needle and have to probably get some carb dip to get it really clean in case there is something stuck. Explains why it had trouble keeping idle.

Just extra fuel instead of driving back into town.

Haha, thanks. I'm going to pick up some plastic ones, maybe. The reviews are either that they are the best thing since slices bread, or the seam breaks and they leak all the fuel out. Half the hunting party didn't draw tags this year, so it might be a short hunt.
Speaking of hunting, now that I'm off work, I've loaded up my new pack, and put about 21lbs of sand in the load shelf to go break in my pack and my boots. I walked my dog to a park and back and I'm positive that 9 out of 10 people assume I'm homeless. Especially when I stop under a shade tree to give the dog water.

Ha! Pretty much. I forgot to mention the reason I brought up the sand bag is that I'm sure it looked like a sleeping roll.
I walked to the park where my kid was at a birthday party. I didn't announce myself, and my daughter came over to pet her dog, and all her friends followed, so all the parents were staring like "what in the hell is going on now?" In addition, there was a guy that was sleeping at the park in a serape that he was using as a blanket, and there was a sleeping bag, baby stroller, and rolling suitcase stashed under a tree that was there when the party arrived. So the scene was already set of a homeless camp before I even got there. Those poor parents.

Well, truth be told I haven't been paying a ton of attention, so it's completely possible that I'm wrong.
I picked up a 5 gallon can for $20 from Big R, but that doesn't mean I'm completely out of the market, especially considering that I used to have 7 or 8 five gallon cans. What I need now is a spout that isn't complete garbage.
You need a simple can like this. No silly safety spout BS.

Yup, that's the one. The "Size" is "5 gallon".

Running the hoses and stuff shouldn't be much of a problem, though, it's counter productive to finish out the dashboard when I still need to cut and install vents and hoses and stuff for A/C.

Ive got approximately 16k rounds of 556 that I think are ready to be processed. 95% is all brass once fired by me & sorted. I plan to give it to someone soon to do this, though I was hoping to be part of the processing if their schedule allows (hadn't dropped that part of the request just yet because my 'helping' will probably make it take longer)
Ive got my new work bench ready to go (its lovely & I cant wait to set it up) but I need to finish up making room in my shop first. Not something I've been able to expedite. Lots of useful items need to find new homes (like gas cans).
I have several friends who would like to 'store' their reloading equipment (during deployment & other life changes) & give me full use of it all in that interim. Try before I buy sounds like an excellent opportunity. I have yet to see everything they have or understand what it all does just yet.
Ive made it very clear to a few reloading wizards that I'm interested in visiting their setup(s) & would happily contribute T&M for a tutorial. Folks are busy right now so maybe this winter someone will indulge me. It'll likely be a few more months before everything else would come together anyway.
I'm not watching anymore random videos. Period.

Oh, & while I said 556, it's my understanding that I should start out with 9mm. Get a feel for it before moving onto more advanced/difficult loads.
Not sure that applies though as I started out shooting tactical rifle & seemed to advance rather quickly. I also have my own workshop & fly model rockets to 30k ft. so very little about tooling, building & assembling things to go boom & zoom is foriegn to me.
Im thinking I'll catch on pretty quick on assembly & realize that development is an entirely different animal.

Meanwhile it was a balmy 98 @ 10 this morning trying to get out of phoenix. . Nothing like a 300 mile rt .
Gives one time to ponder who the hell i'm going to get to help unload a 900 ish lb mill. Yeah science, hoist and buying lunch.

Start off reloading on a single stage press and work on attention to details & not getting distracted, all it takes is......Squirrel !!!!! ....... where was I,.... Oh yeah, all it takes is a moments distraction, and you will have a KABOOM from missing a double charge or squib(s) in you barrel. Even an over length case could do your firearm in and possibly injure you or another.
And as Irving mentioned, start with straight walled pistol calibers 9mm or 45 ACP are a little more forgiving on case length so trimming is easier.
