Nope i just go for it, did it 4 yrs in a row. I knew the time frame but didn't do anything out of the ordinary, besides a major helping of pasta / carbs the night before, light break fast then no more from noon on. You need to be away from the outside pollution of the masses and any form of communication. Also letting people know where you will be.

Vandy-Land is top on my dream sheet. I would Love to be out there. I had my Spyder out there for 3 weeks and loved cruising out to the end of North base. SLO is only about 45 minutes North, you can get great food in Santa Maria, and the Firestone Brewery is about 30 minutes outside of base. GREAT location and cool base... too bad it's still in California.

I'm up on the north side, Frisco & Allen. Came late in the day, I left the client site early and got back to the hotel and hid out before most of the shitshow.

Worked a few hours form the room then drove out to get dinner after scraping thick ice off the windows. Skating rink on the side streets but they were pretty deserted. I was happy the Cheesecake Factory, one of few local spots, was open.

Didn't watch the news, but pretty sure it was ugly out there. Not driving in tomorrow, working from the hotel then flying back OMG early Friday morning.

Well I'm all "legal" to ride now, and took the bike to the gym earlier. All I can say is why didn't I get a bike and license sooner! Wow it's so nice to ride! Of course there were the morons like the broad in the convertible VW that thought it was great to ride my rear fender, that made me a bit nervous. I can't wait for more riding!
