I already scrapped the idea of paying $40 for a grappling hook. I'll just go spend $2 on an actual hook, as that is all I need. The idea is to have a way to retrieve my ladder if it falls off the roof.

A little, but I don't have any more decent arrows. Plus, I'm just resting the arrow on my hand. I can make an arrow rest and stuff, but haven't done so yet. It will be back burnered for now. I'll post up if I ever do anything else with it.

My dog continues to disappoint me at running. She runs ahead of me for the first kilometer, then next to me for the second, and I'm practically dragging her by the third. This frustrates me because at no point does she ever need to go past a light trot to keep up with me. Even when she is pulling ahead she is only trotting. I'm hoping with some practice and slow increases she gets better. Makes it tough when 1) she's done after 3k, but I'm running 6k, and 2) I'm trying stay on a certain pace when she decides she'd rather walk.

Tonight I thought ahead and brought some water. I stopped at 3k, gave her some water, and put her in the car while I ran ahead. Last time I brought the family and I would take the dog every other lap, giving her a chance to rest with the girls in between. We'll get there some day.

I tied her up outside and she did fine. I bought a 12 pack of Kona and a 4 pack of 16 Chalada's. I got the great idea to run her leash through my belt, so I could carry beer in each hand. Well this makes the leash really short. So while I'm running across the street with beer under each arm and cars coming, the dog gets in front of me and gets kicked in the ass. She almost caused me to face plant in the middle of Thornton Pkwy. If anyone actually saw that mess, you're welcome.

I walked the dog to the liquor store today. Knowing that I had zero plan for what I'd do with her when I got there, and that I'd have to carry whatever I bought the mile back to my house.
I tied her up outside and she did fine. I bought a 12 pack of Kona and a 4 pack of 16 Chalada's. I got the great idea to run her leash through my belt, so I could carry beer in each hand. Well this makes the leash really short. So while I'm running across the street with beer under each arm and cars coming, the dog gets in front of me and gets kicked in the ass. She almost caused me to face plant in the middle of Thornton Pkwy. If anyone actually saw that mess, you're welcome.

Just listened to a car chase on the scanner that took place in Gippsland, Australia. The cops were chasing a kidnapper and car jacker.

I listened from about 915 until a couple minutes ago. Looks like it had gone on a long time as I did not hear about it until 3000 people were already listening on the scanner.

All turned out well, kidnapper caught, hostages safe, no major highway crashes during the chase.

Shipping / Conex containers are not considered a permanent structure. Same for pole barns / steel buildings. A wood frame unit is considered a permanent structure requiring a permit for anything over 120 sq ft (weld cty) . Now you can build one keeping it on a trailer or mobile home frame. Those are considered motor vehicles since there is a VIN Tag for the frame. Ins can be higher as interest rates if you want to borrow against. BUT property taxes are cheaper based on vehicle year. I know 2 families that purchased land with mobile homes. Both did very nice additions to the unit (wood frame} on foundation. By keepin the axles on the mobile home taxes were still cheaper, than if built on permanent wood frame.

The tax folks spend more time figuring ways to fuck the tax payer. It's confusing without knowing the permit fees and zoning for the area you want to build on.
