Thinking of picking up 1 or 2, unless my butcher has them priced like he did last year $6.99 Defrosting a few racks of ribs we vacuum seald last month for Christmas dinner. On the smoker doing 1 with dillo dust, 1 with good home made rub and 1 with S & P AND red pepper flakes. Smoked BBQ beans, might defrost the brats we did. make it a BBQ smorgasbord .

Hubby wants either beef or pork. I'm thinking that a nice roast with taters and carrots will be tasty. :)

I usually sear first to lock in juice. However, I've seen some mighty good looking roasts baked normally at 350 or so, then finished under high oven heat to get some crispness on the face.

Glad to be here with family, but found out today that my mom is going in for an EKG and chest x-ray today because she's been having persistent chest pain for a few weeks.. When we do a rib roast in the oven it's high temp for 20 -30 min then down to 325 OR 500* 30 min then turn off, let roast sit 1 - 1.5 hrs. I also do a salt crust to seal teh juices in.

not a roast but some cluckers just of the smoker @ 400 1.45 min.

I cook mine in a crock-pot; today, oven space is at a premium and I am baking cookies. I'm making a nice pot roast with carrots, onions and yukon gold potatoes. I sear my roast in a cast iron pan, but I melt bacon grease in it first, while I coat the roast in sea salt and coarse ground pepper. After I sear a nice crust on it I pop it in the crock-pot and dump veggies on top of it, add 1 1/2 cups of water and a couple of bay leaves and put it on low for 8 or so ours. I'll try and remember to post a photo, but it's not going t be as pretty as if I had put it in the oven...

Just off the smoker 3.5 hrs on 300, with a 375 warm up temp. You open the smoker , temp drops an easy 15 - 25* Lets see how it looks inside once it sits 1/2hr. Removed @ 130*

We try to make as much use of the grilling area as possible when cooking. 2 -3 different meats are the norm. Then next day vacuum sealed and in the freezer it goes. it's much easier to defrost and reheat than go , mmm what are we cooking tonight.

I had a reverse albino corn snake for 4 years before I accidentally killed him. After the corn, I bought two baby Sand Boas (a black/orange male and a black/blue female). They were kind of cool, but had way more attitude. One of the snakes bit my roommate's girlfriend's finger once. I didn't have them even a whole year before I gave them back to the pet store.

Spent two days with the wife, had a good time. She had to work today though, and I'll probably go in to work just to plow snow because the future temps will not allow any melting to occur.

I shunned the Harry Potter movies for Years.....kid stuff, etc. I finally was introduced to them late summer of this year, and I watched the whole series. I was surprised that I kinda got drawn into the shows, and actually looked forward to the next ones in line. I forget, but the second or third one sucked, but the rest were good enough for me.

I looked down, there was a bump where there was no bump. it was kinda freaky, so I gave it a push. then I cried for about three minutes. in the car, to the hospital, get it fixed same day out-patient style. now I'm going to have a little scar way down low, a little too close to the tackle.

This let's the snake know when it's feeding time and okay to be biting at things. Carpenter steel b75p the best cutlery steel I've ever handled including busse INFI. I know edge angle gets I to play but I had a busse boney active duty and it dulled quicker than this blade.... Not honed or sharpened for a year.... Beats carpenters 205p in my eyes as well.

i've had the opportunity to try out a lot of my fears in real life.

my only fear that I haven't been easily able to overcome is needles.

I fed mine live mice as well. I always just kept a card board box or a clear plastic tub. Just toss snake into tub, put mouse in, and let him eat in the tub. Every snake person will tell you that the best way is to feed them in a different enclosure. I'd say possibly even more so in your case because if you're afraid of snakes, you're less likely to be handling him often. You don't want the snake expecting a mouse every time you reach into the cage, only when he's in his feeding place. You don't have to worry about reaching into the feeding enclosure and getting bit because either 1) he'll have just eaten and will be kind of lethargic, or 2) he wasn't hungry and left the mouse alone, so he won't be likely to get you either.
