Well, I don't know how I did it but I did something and my lower back is killing me. Hurts when I sit, get up, walk, lay on my side and when I lay on my back I feel OK unless I try to move. It was hurting last night before I went to bed so I tool some aspirin and after about a half hour I went to sleep. I woke up a little after midnight and it really was hurting. I took some more aspirin and fell asleep. My daughter wakes me up at four AM to take her to work and although I was stiff, the pain was tolerable. I went to the gym as usual and spent the hour doing slow stretches and some life cycle. I felt pretty good after that, got home and took a long hot shower and stretched some more.

Now, an hour later I can hardly move without pain and now my neck and shoulders have gotten stiff too. This sucks big time. I called in to work and let them know I would not be in. I guess I will take a muscle relaxer and move slowly and carefully and hope it is better by tomorrow. I don't want the boss thinking they can get along without me.

Had a physical last Monday and the blood work came back today an the doc says I am doing great and no issues at all. I'm familiar with the length of credit thing. I don't know what happened, but one day my alleged credit score, according to credit karma just plunged and it said my longest credit history was only 12 months or something. I think what happened was that once I paid off and stopped using my longest running card, it went dormant and the history no longer counted. That company really pissed me off, so I stopped using the card. A few years ago I tried to get them to raise the balance, but they won't let me because I haven't used it in maybe 7ish years.

Got out of the shower this morning to the sound of sirens. Kind of eeerie, we rarely hear sirens out here.

Ran around the house looking out windows to see who was responding and which direction they were headed. Rescue and ambulance only, no fire trucks or sheriff. No smoke to be seen in the area.

Meh. I'm not very concerned.

I'm probably in the minority here in that I'm very happy Russia has gotten involved in the middle east. Now when they fail at it (and they will) everyone will have someone else to blame for the collateral damage. I don't care if it "looks like a strategic victory for Russia" or some such garbage, I think we should 100% back out of the middle east NOW and let Russia deal with the hell we've gotten ourselves into. This would have a number of positive effects on our economy, national morale, international feelings toward the US, etc.

So far, Russia's involvement has confirmed what I had long since thought about their military power and readiness: it's pathetic compared to ours. Yes, they have a lot of tanks (so do we) but their weapons are all several generations of technology behind ours. I find it reassuring that their ability to project power to another continent is limited in scope and effect.

I did, in fact, chew that egg. That skillet is like 80 years old. It is seasoned, but I didn't exactly prep it like I normally would since it was so cold out.

I know yesterday was shitty weather wise, but it WAS nice to not be at work for the said shittiness. I got a lot done yesterday, took the underbelly of the staircase and turned it into a "pantry" type set up. Built little shelves between studs (2x6's so there's some good usable space there) and built a larger shelf about 2/3'ds down the landing that will store quite a bit of stuff on it. Just generally improved and organized under there, it's pretty cool, I think.

That larger shelf presented me with some challenges getting it in there decent like.....nothing is square under there, and cutting the relief for the center stair stringer took a bit of time to get right since the stringer is kinda "rolled/bowed" a little bit.

Ugh. Just woke up from not enough sleep and I had a weird dream where I basically got carjacked at a gas station (because I was doing everything wrong). When I drew my CCW, it scared the two guys away but I fired shots at them as they were running and clearly no longer a threat. [Dunno]

The dream ended about 20 minutes later when a police officer finally showed up and simply asked if he could talk to me about what had happened - and by this time, I figured I was going to get crucified in the same manner as Darren Wilson. I didn't kill anyone, although I'm pretty sure I hit of one the guys while they were running (Another weird thing... It seemed that I was shooting pellets or something out of my Glock 26? Well my night just went to shit.... apparently my mother needs a Lung Transplant. Been lying to everyone, including her doctors. Not taking meds, not using her cpap, not sleeping at an angle like instructed. She's a GOD DAMN PA!... been in nursing since before I was born.. been a PA for 16 years.. She's been to more school than a fucking doctor.. yet.. just grrr.. mother fucking bitch. Little sister is NOT taking it well, she found out from our aunt, and got all the juicy details from her friend who went to Mayo with her (sister is a RN, so she read the reports). PISSES ME THE FUCK OFF.. she's always been a self centered greedy bitch and this just proves it more.
