I'm not sure if I already posted this, but Lady Dynamite is Maria Bamdford's new show on Netflix. It is WAY more funny, and dirty, than I expected. I've never heard Maria Bamdford be dirty before and it's hilarious. As with all comedian shows, it's packed full of their friends, which are all other comedians. It also helps if you're already familiar with Maria Bamdford's material and her break down a few years ago.

Also, Bloodline and Ajine on Netflix are f'ing badass shows. Going back to liquored up sewing now. Cheerio.

It's no wonder they died...

Cirrus SR-20s and SR-22s seem to attract a higher rate of less-than-competent pilots for some reason. The parachute recovery system did partially deploy shortly before impact. Not sure if it helped or made things worse. Also, I don't know what the lay of the land was, but usually there are better options than a busy parking lot if the pilot still has any control of the plane. It appears here that they did not. It may have been in a flat spin, which could have been caused by the 737 wake turbulence that the pilot was warned about by ATC, but that's just my speculation at this point. I'm not exactly an aircraft or flying expert.

ETA: The radio transcripts are also very bizarre - almost like the pilot was not in good health or state of mind.

There's 3-4 frames there with shadow that certainly make it look like a flat spin.

Perhaps, but I've already spent probably close to $1,000 building this stupid garden since I started last year. Just the dirt was $519 alone, which I'm not happy about. Oh yeah, and I spent $125 on random vegetables, some of which have already died. The thankless manual labor felt good, but I hit the wall pretty hard today at the end there. Pretty sure today was the hardest day of work I've had in my life.

HA! My picture did not do this dirt pile justice. A neighbor drove by and told me he was in construction and he would help me for free because I was white and American. I told him my wife was brown. Then later a kid (I think that guy's kid) asked if I needed any help when he went by on his skate board. I'd feel bad to pay anyone only $50. I want to say that 5 hours a day of shoveling and pushing a wheelbarrow up a ramp 60 times is a realistic estimate. My wife wants me to tell you all that she helped, and she did. She worked on the pile for 3 hours by herself while I was at work.

Hard to tell in the pictures, but this pile, end to end at the base, was about as long as my van (16ish ft).

I couldn't find anywhere that newbs had to do anything above the normal shooters meeting. Not that many rules to need special meeting IMO. Safe load/unload about it.

Match was fine. I loaded some ammo for both of us, and we both ended up shooting more ammo than what I loaded. I had no idea how much more shooting we were in for. I've got blisters all over my hands, and he got a crash course in drawing from a holster. Most matches you draw four to five times. He got to draw 39 times. I told him if he wants to start coming to competitions, he might as well jump in now after shooting that steel match. Fortunately, he doesn't have those first match jitters that most people have. I invited him and he showed up ready to compete! haha.

As to your question, I do tend to get steel disease. I was shooting way low all day. I found myself aiming at the top of the plate just to make hits, then sometimes the shots would be grazing the top of the plates. Just bad consistency all around. Thanks a lot for mentioning the match. I like trying new things, it's good for me.

So the other day I was at a commercial building where my 32' ladder was just a tad too short to get to the eave. The guys suggested that I just put my big ladder on the roof of the detached garage, and lean it onto the building that way. I politely declined, although I'm sure it would have worked fine. There is a limit to how I'm willing to risk myself. How I actually got onto the roof probably wasn't much safer, but at least it didn't involve me trying to hoist a 65lb ladder up onto a roof. I had a 40' ladder today for a claim, but we ended up not needing it for that roof. However, since it was what I had with me, I had to use it on my next claim which definitely didn't need it. That ladder is so tall that it reached the gutter on a two story house without even being extended.

Great question, not usually on that pitch, but those were on the other, more shallow slopes a well. The great from the attic generally melts the snow around the vent enough to keep them functional.
