The max known distance I've looked at is 500 yards and 12 inches is no problem. A 12 inch plate would be a little over half a mil...about 0.6. I'll have to really push it next time I'm out but I think I could resolve well beyond that. Belly would give you the best answer.

That set me off and I started walking to his door and he takes off to the hotel next door. No damage to the truck but WTF! So I finished up pumping my gas and went over to the hotel and snapped a few pics and waited about 30 min for him to come out but I had to leave to make it to work. This just confirmed why I really do hate people. His ass ether didn't speak English or didn't have insurance or both, guess since my truck isn't new it doesn't matter right. Last week it was scratch and dent removal (wet sanding, compounding, glazing) whenever it was nice enough. Had a REALLY bad case of cover strap rash. Have a few spots to repair when it warms enough. Still have a few spots that need a tad more work but I'm out of Finesse-It until Monday. Starting to look pretty damn nice though.

No, i have lathe for those who want to free hand their primer pockets. On the lathe you can do 1K in 30-45 [ish] minutes.

As far as the torches are concerned, I have two sets but no tanks. Hell, what are the laws here in CO on tanks anyways? Do you have to prove ownership to do an exchange or refill?

No,you can exchange at most places. Up in NoCo, I have not run in to any issues, not sure about the metroplex area. BTW it's a company policy, not law.

Good to hear. AZ and FL are the same way with exchanges but I'd heard that some states were enacting laws to combat bottle theft. Of course, I heard that rumor awhile ago and don't think I've ever actually seen some proof of it so who knows.

Northern Tool actually runs an exchange program out of their stores similar to Blue Rhino propane exchanges. It'd be nice if Big R did something similar. Definitely more convenient for me now that I'm a hobbyist as opposed to actually involved in the trade anymore.
