Yeah. I took my .22 pretty far down and cleaned all the floglube shit out of it. It turns out that froglube smells nice, but it really just turns into clay after about 2 months. I had to blast it all out with brake cleaner and then I re-assembled and re-lubed with mobile-1

Not a great trip. I was expecting the range to be all mine, but there were more people than I'd ever seen there before! Apparently, Tuesday mornings are popular range days for retirees.

Either way, I got some good proficiency training in with my carry gun. I didn't even bother with the longer ranges because I didn't have enough time to fool around with the "range cold, range hot, hold on! let me put one more target up... oh wait, that guy just showed up, so we should wait for him too" nonsense.

I shot a 2.5" group at what I think was 25yds while standing. I'm pretty happy with that.

The basic gist is to start super small and easy and build up from there. Example: If you want to be able to do 50 pushups without stopping, start on day one with just 1 pushup. Do it at a time that is convenient and not cumbersome. Example: Do your pushup when you get out of bed in the morning. Each day increase by a small and easy amount. Example: increase by 1 pushup each day. After 10 days you may be able to easily do 10 pushups. Or it may be a challenge for you. Each person has to build a plan that fits them. Eventually, you'll meet your goal without experiencing a ton of discomfort or inconvenience.

Anyway, that's generally how I understand it. Now I need to learn to apply it to myself in a meaningful way.

both the new presses showed up. Here's why I have TWO new progressive reloading presses:

My wife is trying to make up for some mis-deeds in the very recent past... most notably, she thought it would be a good idea to let Ritter (the new puppy) crawl around on me while I was sleeping on the couch (hey, I'll take sleep where I can get it!). The problem was that Didi (the un-official mascot of the PWT) was already sleeping on the other end of the couch. Ritter won't go near Didi, and I'm OK with that. Instead, Ritter decided that waking me up by being a playful puppy, full of wonderment, and BITING THE CRAP OUT OF MY LIP was a good idea. This caused a late night trip to the ER. Talking to the on-duty cop about animal control (it IS a dog bite) for an hour and explaining to him that a 15 week old puppy doesn't quite know what he doesn't know and thus shouldn't be held as a 'violent/dangerous animal'. I got pretty defensive with that A-Hole. So, it's about midnight and I'm pretty sternly TELLING a cop that he's not going to come to my house and take my wife's new puppy just because he's acting like a puppy.

at this point, Mrs. Belly is pretty much crying her eyes out because all she wanted was for me and the puppy to bond a little bit, and she thinks it's cute that Didi and I take naps on the couch. She wanted that for me and Ritter, too. All the while I've got a fairly profuse leak in my face that the hospital won't let me cover up because I don't have a sterile cover.

Now the cop asks to see my ID. I tell him no problem, and hand over the .mil. He asks for my driver's license. he asks for my current address, and I tell him no thanks. It's not required for their report, and it's not required per state or local law, and that I'm not giving him any opportunity to go to my house and mess with my puppy. He can choke on a giant bag of balls if he thinks I'm giving that up. Needless to say, I was pretty hot under the collar.

So, here I am, in the ER, semi-yelling at a cop with blood streaming out of my lip, and they finally call me back to get it taken care of. I asked the ER doc if it could be cleaned out and have steri-strips instead of stitches. he says nope. (background info: I HATE needles. They scare the crap out of me, and the sight of needles going towards my skin has ALWAYS made the fight/flight instinct kick in.) He says it needs stitches because the tear in ym face starts on my upper lip and crosses the line ONTO MY LIP....

Think about that. The doc has to give me stitches ON. MY. LIP........EFF. MY. LIFE.

So, needless to say, I now have stitches on my face.


AND I HAVE TWO NEW PROGRESSIVE PRESSES IN MY LIVING ROOM!!!!!!

I think they're OK presses, but not anything that I'd sleep with. Granted, I'm REALLY excited about them. However, I REALLY wanted a Dillon 650 or 1000, but I'll settle for a 'starter' press.

I've been talking around the house about getting a progressive press and trying to convince the wife to get it so that I can speed load the .223, 9mm, and (possibly) .308. She agreed that spending less time loading and more time with her would be great. I agree with that sentiment.

I now own two Lee Pro 1000 presses, one set up for .223 and the other for 9mm. I expect that they'll do fine.

Another person's manager got called at 7pm last night at home to be told his employee was being walked out the door.

Forget a breakfast road trip....what is this deliciousness?

Some pizza dough i made last month, defrosted (of course) roasted red pepper stuffed italian sausage, whole milk mozzarella, fresh basil and tomato sauce. Dough rolled thin then the usual cooking till cheese bubbly and slightly brown. The Sausage was done on the smoker @ 225 till 160* reached.

I went with a pizza, forgetting the dough was cut in 1/4's. I usually take shredded mozzarella, sauce (1 tablespoon 2 tops) sliced sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, smoker roasted peppers, basil, oregano, GARLIC and onions or shallots. Place on one of the 1/4 sections, fold dough over, seal edge with fork, poke a few holes on top of dough and put on smoker or in oven @ 500*. Cook till dough is evenly browned, remove and dip in remaining sauce i set aside.

Want a killer meal. We cook these restaurant sized beef ravioli's. Once cooked drizzle a little oil over them to pervent sticking. While the ravi's are cooking the deep fryer is warming up (375*) Same time everything is prepping the green chili is simmering. Take cooked ravioli's drop in heated oil and fry till nice and brown, drain and remove. Take fried ravioli's place in large soup bowl , SMOTHER with green chili. BAM!
