Yes it is and it's pretty damn good actually. I get BBq once a week and usually it's ether that or they have a mashed potato bowl that's pretty good. Split in to two meals it covers me for 8-12 hrs

You get in to those swap meets, local parking lot or school field garage sales. The old ladies selling tamales and burritos. Worth the $2-3 parking lot price of admission.
The spouse and i always browse them while out in CA. Think the only one who comprendes' english' besides us is the security guard and tow truck driver ;).
I'm not sure about them.
Reminds me....I need to get some tamales out of the freezer to thaw for this weekend.....

I don't think this will give away too much. I have to tell you, for just having an idea in my head, and starting tonight with learning how to load the bobbin on my sewing machine, I'm pretty damn happy with the outcome. This is just a prototype that I can test. Real product will be an improved design and better materials.

Hey man I don't know what type of Velcro your using bro but I will get the name of the stuff I use for my rc planes for you, stuff is strong as hell. Also dental floss is one of the strongest things you can use to sew, don't know if your machine would push it but just wanted to give you some food for thought. I used dental floss when I made my ghillie and it held up very well.
Btw what your doing looks cool as hell for a proto type, GJ!

The machine is almost brand new. I checked the needle, cleared the bobbin more than once, etc. I think it might just be a cheap machine and be broken.
What's the material, needle size, thread?
Have you tried blowing it out? I know when my wife's machine acts up she can take a can of air and blow it out and have it work again. Also how new is new? Why I ask is because I know they need to be serviced after while (my wife is a quilter so I'm known at the quilt shop too). Also if you might be looking for a new machine the shop up in Brighton is owned by some great people that will bend over backwards to help.
My wife bought it last year and her mom sewed one set of curtains. I sewed with it on the same setting for hours last night. Then all the sudden it started screwing up. I think it might be the material, even though over sewn several inches with the same material. It's a jeans needle, with polyester or nylon thread. Sewing demin that is really pretty soft. I'm sewing in a layer of plastic.
I got nothing I'm going to ask the wife. Bet you $10 she says blow it out.

Hi this is Mrs. Mazin. So when I have had that happen on my sewing machine it is a tension issue if it is on the bottom of the project there should be a tension dial close to the needle. You will probably need to look up in the manual or online for that machine as to what the tension needs to be set to for the type of needle and what you are sewing on. I believe it usually needs to be a little higher for heavy thread. Hope that helps.
I ran the tension both directions and it didn't make a difference. I sewed like this for hours and hours, then all of the sudden this happens over and over.

Sounds similar to a mig welder, or turning on a lathe. Speeds & feeds.
I got a hot tip to look up "birds nest" issues and go from there. Sounds like it could be a number issues like broken needle tips, dirty, etc. So likely what Mazin was talking about with blowing it out. I'll check it out again after work today.
Blew out the machine, rethreaded the bobbin, and got to work finishing up version 2.0.

Poll: Restaurant employee or gas pump card skimmer I missed in a hurry to refuel the rental car? Or perhaps the recent govmint.com online purchase?
I'm guessing the lift occurred in Charleston, SC 7-10 days ago. Oddly, only the one attempted charge and it was declined. Got a fraud alert and responded right away so the card got frozen. I usually see a flurry of online charges.

Made up this case for holding sawzall blades, just for the hell of it. It's got a magnet in each section so the blades won't slide out. It also has magnets to hold it closed, one in each corner. One of the top magnets fell out while I was sewing and I didn't notice, so that pair doesn't work. The other pair has to go through too many layers to be effective. The slant pocket was mostly cosmetic, but it's a good thing I did it or the magnets would all lay on top of each other when folded and it wouldn't fold correctly. Also, I haven't really researched how to cleanly apply binding around outside corners, so I just muscled my way through it. Oh well. First time for everything. This idea has potential, but certainly needs a few revisions. Next time I'd save a ton of time just using velcro and ditching the magnets and water proofing. This is what I've been doing to learn how to sew, making stuff just because. It sure is difficult to do and the learning curve is steep!

Proto v2.0 is done and had its first field test today. V2.0 is WAY better than the first one. I don't want to post photos of it though in case a miracle happens and I'm able to sell it at some point.
Almost yrs in a dead end IT contracting gig for the gov.....I have lost lore knowledge than I have gained that's for sure.

Told her i was sorry. Next time there was a decon don't ask me to "wait till her staff was done" since delaying my schedule not only slowed us down. But the entire dept who was also on a schedule.

That doesnt surprise me in the least. I have had 1 complaint against me for a similar occurrence. I held the door for an older guy and he walked through and didn't acknowledge me at all so I said "glad I can hold the door for his holiness". He turned around and told me I should keep my mouth shut, well you know me. I told him if he had enough spunk left in his old ass body he should make me. Well that got me a write up. Last time I ever held the door or even acknowledged anyone in that place.

I removed some broken branches for a lady today across town. Between her house and mine I drove through every snow bank I could and generally had a good time. I also stopped at the bank on the way home to deposit my earnings. When I was cleaning out the car at home I couldn't find my machete and had assumed that I had left it on the sidewalk. For what that machete cost, it has by far been my most useful edged tool.
I actually ran out of room to store toilet paper. There are a few more just to the left of the photo, and we had some laying around the house. I've determined that each package of 6 rolls lasts about a week at my house.
