Vortex appears to be eliminating some models/options in their line of precision rings. Specifically the ones I am looking for.
Dealer is working on it for me but my own research/checking points that way.
If so it will be the first beef I have had with Vortex or their products.

Maybe if they kept the trains on time the railroad companies wouldn't need govt support.
Someone promised to get the trains running on time. Believe he ended up being mobbed by the same people who supported him.

Never bothered much by the wind, lived in a few places known for being windy but...
The valley is @ an average of 4700 - 5 K in altitude. As i've mentioned, weather similar to along the front range. Yet the wind comes through here like we're in wyo.
Trees here grow like this. ->
Was off the train by about 11:00pm.
Buffalobo, how different could the rings be? They don't have a similar model that will work?

Will either have to change brands or switch to Vortex Pro, Tactical or Sport rings or find old stock set hanging on a peg in a store somewhere.

Trees here grow like this. ->12 hrs of 40mph+ driving the snow into rock hard drifts and nearly 6 hrs pushing/plow/digging to get driveway/road open a guy gets kinda testy. And it didn't even snow while wind blew.
Ray, train tickets were $292, round trip, for seven of us.
Thanks. That seems reasonable.
My wife has been wanting to make the Glenwood trip by train for a while now and I haven?t even looked into it.
I?ll definitely relate your travel experience to her about the possibility (probability?) of delays.
The further ahead you book, the cheaper it will be. Train cars have WAY more room than an airplane. There is an observation car in the middle of the train that gets so crowded during the day that they start making appointments and locking people out so others have a chance. The snack car is below the observation car, and I think the dining car is one ahead. As natives, we passed on the observation car, BUT, past 10pm is quiet hours and they turn off the train lights. So we just went into the observation car at ten so we could play cards and still talk and see. Everyone else in there at the time was doing the same thing and it wasn't crowded.
Trains have to back into Union Station, so if you are boarding, or departing from there, they will stick into the very last car. Food was generally three cars up from the back.

I'm usually in the shop, tinkering. or reading, if the web takes a crap. I found it interesting the local provider literally had a power outage across the town.
11 hours later people were still in therapy over having lost internet access for a long time.
Be curious to see the melt downs and suicide prevention lines if the web went dark for a full day.

VA, with "Mike" bloomberg money wants to outlaw any kind of training, or even building your own 80% gun and looks like Form 1 suppressors .
Senate Bill No. 64 (http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?201+ful+SB64) aims to prohibit and penalize ?paramilitary activity,? declaring ?A person is guilty of ? a Class 5 felony if he:
?1. Teaches or demonstrates to any other person the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, knowing or having reason to know or intending that such training will be employed for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or
2. Assembles with one or more persons for the purpose of training with, practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm, explosive, or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, intending to employ such training for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or
3. Assembles with one or more persons with the intent of intimidating any person or group of persons by drilling, parading, or marching with any firearm, any explosive or incendiary device, or any components or combination thereof.?

Lucky you. I had $4K plus in charges over a 3-4 day period on another card.
When I said those were not my charges. The CSR actually had the ovaries to say. Are you sure and can you prove it? Umm sure can. Look based on these charges I was buying lunch in Detroit for who knows how many people, buying lunch in N.Y for a few others while also being driven around in a limo in S.F. All within an hour of each other.
Yeah I guess you have a reason to contest the charges. Ya think?
Little damn disappointed that this MaC-taekwondo place would not let my kid take yellow belt test tonight.
Any reason they declined? Sounds like they are at least trying not to be a belt factory, so that is good.
Maybe he?s just not ready yet?

Any "gup/geup" white to 1 before black belt is just for fun. Black belt is where it should get more serious.
There is upto 9th degree black if they wanna get serious.
I know it takes about 15+ years from 8th to 9th degrees, but this is white to yellow.
I am just disappointed but not pissed because we pay less than 20 per month.
Eta: my daughter was really looking forward to yellow. She was even practicing with 4 white belt kids who are getting tested.
I told her that I will just drive to aurora or denver to goto many of different taekwondo places whom I knew if necessary.
I can't find my D&D thread for the life of me, but I forced my way into a campaign and have been playing recently. I'm having fun so far.
I used to play a little D&D when I was younger.
I am just disappointed but not pissed because we pay less than 20 per month.
And there it is. Maybe this is why she hasn?t been allowed to test up.
I have a nephew that is in his mid twenties and had done karate since he was very young. He?s actually an instructor now at one of the schools. When he was progressing it seemed the school always wanted more money from his parents.
Maybe $20 a month doesn?t buy you a yellow belt?
Yeah, I don't understand the drive for these places to essentially sell belts. It tears down the skill value of the belt systems.
(I do understand greed, but you would think that any authority over the belt system (if there is one) would shut it down.)
I used to play a little D&D when I was younger.
I remember you saying you used to play and your parents didn't like it or something.
My parents didn?t have any objections. Probably out of all of the crazy stuff I did in my youth playing a fantasy game might have even brought them a little joy.
I probably still have my dice and a couple of books somewhere.
I was so geeky I even used to buy little lead figures and hand paint them. I had several that really represented some of my characters.

Because martial arts are [B]kids driven.
BS-JJ and K.Maga places are full of kids as well. As a kid, they want to have a similar or same belt as their friends who referred or started early.
If someone doesn't like belt system and no weight classes (LOL), take Kendo. :D
Probably that is one only martial arts, which they do not have a visual belt. They use kyū/dan system.

Good to hear. Sounds like a memorable experience.
Don't forget to take the time to write stuff down about grandpa & great-grandpa if you haven't already - chances are most of their military archives burned in the fire, and we never know when our kids / future generations will forever lose the oral history we carry.

Worn or misaligned gas rings, possibly?
I've always appreciated that far more than a bolt gun acting like a gas gun. That gets too exciting.

Worn rings could cause issues.
No amount of misaligned gas rings will manifest itself into any sort of problem. You can line all the gaps up and shoot a few rounds or a half mag and they will move around anyway.

So, follow up to kids tkd.
We recently met a tkd parent at a kingsooper. She said that she is looking for a different martial arts for different reasons ( hours being 7 to 8:30).
They are looking at peaks martial arts at 120th and york.
As for me, it was my mistake for going to cheap martial art places. At first I thought at 20-25/mo, I would not go wrong at that price.
I will probably put her for swimming and racquetball classes for kids.

Yeah, people usually line up hour prior to registering. SHe will be in level 2 now. She took level 1 during summer. I don't think my kid is not too comfortable with swimming yet.
Swimming is great conditioning. Served me well since I was about 5 through high school varsity team. Individual contribution as well as a team sport. It's also a survival skill and can give great comfort when in or on the water. I can imagine today's waterproof music technology can also make swimming miles every practice a little less boring.

It?s also easier on the body than running.
Plus you can get a workout in way less time.
Going on day 25 without a debit card.
The story I?m getting is the people that make the cards apparently got a bad batch of blanks and had to destroy a big batch of them and order new blanks and rerun all of the ones they produced in late November.
I guess that?s believable but I missed out on some great Black Friday deals and now I?m missing out on some nice Christmas sales too.

I'm looking into something mobile actually. If you just get $20 from an ATM, even the smallest transaction fee is way more than 7.5%. Percentage based transaction fees are apparently becoming more popular with a national average (I think) around 2.5%. I have one that switches to straight 1.5% at $200 and up.

Wocka wocka When I wrangled a small herd on my parent's place, I've met a lot whose personality was greatly improved after being grilled medium-well. Thereafter, Out at Wes Thompson's range north of Piru Calif in the '80's (home of SWPL back then), there were some always lounging behind the targets I had to shoo for practice. My fellow club members would laugh that I always did it with a loaded pistol but so heeled, they gave me a wide berth.

Amazing what an hour of power shopping at Burlington can do. We got in after midnight and the service was at 11AM. Store opened at 0830.
