Just finished up my preps for a batch of tex-mex style chili that's going in the crock pot tomorrow. I know jim is super disappointed that it's not Cincinnati style, but a mans gotta make due.

I got a good deal a few weeks ago on prime angus ground beef. $2/lb. Used the last of that up in the chili. I cooked up a couple chopped onions in the beef after it was browned..scooped up a spoonful and dashed some salt on that for a bite. Tasted just like White Castle. So I need to pick up some dinner rolls thus weekend and make myself some poor mans white castles for din din. I need to find just the right buns and also get some sliced pickles to complete that forgery.

The pull is very similar to what I had before, but a little smoother and more consistent, and with the obvious addition of a second stage. First pull didn't feel like it was worth $180. I did about 100 dry fires and I'll admit that it took some time to appreciate it. The break is incredibly crisp and the pull weight is VERY consistent, smooth, and predictable. Still not sure if it was worth $180, but I would definitely pay $100 for it.

I'm sure a good trigger like this is infinitely valuable for a skilled long range shooter like TheBelly. It will probably improve my shooting, but I'm not sure I'm good enough to reap the full benefits.

In the distance shooting realm, you are leagues ahead of me, brother. I hit a few steel targets at 625yds a few times from a bench last year. I've never received any formal training and I rarely get an opportunity to practice past 200yds. I don't think there is enough time in a day for you to teach me what you know about precision distance shooting. [not-worthy]

Handguards are 1/2 scale, made by MachIVshooter (http://www.thehighroad.org/showpost.php?p=9695377&postcount=175). It doesn't come with a muzzle device, so you can choose your own. Low-profile gas block is specially tuned to operate on unicorn farts.

Round count doesn't matter. The bore is unobtainium.

Turned into 147 .45, 305 .40, and haven't counted the 9mm yet. But that's 2 matches worth of ammo once loaded for .45, and 3-4 for .40. Pretty good for .45 Auto that I don't even own or shoot.

I don't really know what I want, but since most stuff is sold out anyway, it really limits my options. PLUS, with so many lowers, I might as well start somewhere, then I can go in any other direction on the next build. Pretty much there are only 16" barrels. I think I'll build something that I can compete in 3gun with.

They turned out good, but not great. Had the heat up a little too high. The onions started to brown and the burgers cooked just a hair too fast. I made 16 patties out of a lb of hamburger. The size seemed just about right, also the holes seemed to be right. I froze 10 of the patties. I'll try again next weekend when my wife gets back.

also, I can't remember but do they set the buns on onions too? I know they are a little "warm and moist"....

I know you compete, but I wasn't sure what type of targets you were shooting at. I was going to say, 147's would give better "knockdown" power, and likely milder recoil.
