So belly, how'd the powder dropper dispenser thingys work? Is one more accurate or faster than the other?

The Lyman is faster once it warms up. It takes 30 minutes to warm up. It already has a 'straw mod' as part of its design.
The RCBS is more deliberate, but it takes only 10 seconds to warm up. It requires a McDonald's straw to be inserted in the tube to eliminate clumping and dumping of a large pile of powder when it starts the slow trickle to get 0.1gr more.
both are equally accurate at dropping powder into a tray.

I have two calls on Tuesday, one Wednesday, a new videocon on Wednesday, and one the first Thursday of every month. Just got a call from the bakery that made our wedding cake.
Bakery - "Hi, I'm calling to schedule the appointment for your wedding cake tasting this Saturday"
Me - "Uh, I got married last October. Who was it left the voicemail?"
Bakery - "[My Wife's Name]"
Me - "Well, that is my wife, but we got married in October. Let me call you back and make sure she didn't call to schedule an appointment for something else".
Turns out it was just a voicemail from almost a year ago and it was never deleted. Was thinking it could be a cake for [one of our many] our anniversary or something like that.

Sigh, somehow I knew selling a laptop for parts was a bad idea.
Buyer emailed me saying the battery was completely dead and it doesn't work at all. I replied telling him to plug it in and charge it. [facepalm]
Did he really think I left it charging for the past several months since I replaced it?! During the auction, the laptop powered up just fine and I even posted pictures of screenshots for some performance tests.
It would be nice though if USPS marked it as delivered so that paypal will release my money.
eta: He is now claiming the battery won't hold a charge and therefore that I misrepresented the item (in the ad I stated that it "worked great when we used it last a few months ago before replacing it"). The only thing I mentioned about the battery, was that it was included. It was a 7 day auction and he had plenty of time to email me asking about the condition of the battery, before he bid, if that is the only reason he purchased the laptop. Based on his auctions for sale, he obviously purchases laptops for parts, refurbs them, and resells them on ebay, so he's probably pissed that he didn't get a brand new battery along with other parts, to turn around and sell for triple what he paid.

Yup, exactly. I stated this at the bottom of the ad, and when creating the ad, checked the "No returns" box (which it also states on the page, but it says its also covered by the ebay moneyback guarantee). "This is being SOLD AS IS and NO RETURNS will be accepted."
In research of the moneyback guarantee, if the buyer makes a complaint for WHATEVER reason, saying they did not receive what was described (with no proof needed to say it wasn't as described), ebay will intervene and force me to issue a refund, or issue a refund on return of the part, or they will just steal the funds from my paypal account (cause ebay owns paypal).
If the buyer returns the item and ships it back, all they have to do to scam me and keep the parts is pay for the postage online indicating a specific weight and ship me back an empty box. When I report this to ebay, they tell me to take a picture of the box shipping label, which indicates a weight and therefore, shows they shipped back what I sent. So then ebay says [goFyourself], the buyer keeps the product and his money.

I have a minimum of 16 people call in. The most I've had was about 70 or so. That was for a Brigade level Annual Training Meeting. I missed the fact that a couple folks were going to call in. They were late and asked me to catch them up. I told them that they should have called in on time.... I found out later that one of them was the Deputy Commanding General-Support. I had a few words spoken to me after that meeting. I stood up for myself.
After that, my Eagle came and told me, "If nothing else, you're not an ass kisser."

I think the most I've ever had on telecon was about 30, but I've had 55+ on VTC... We had so many cameras on the net that I couldn't see everyone at once because our giant TV screen only divided up 16 ways. Add in about a 1 second delay, and it was a mess trying to keep things in order. I had to tell people to raise their hand if they had a question so I could call on them, otherwise, several people would be trying to talk over each other.
We have one guy (our lead Lockheed engineer) who was always overly polite on VTC and telecons... People would talk at the same time as him (which naturally happens) and he would always insist that they go ahead... which was unfortunate, because they would usually say something silly or incorrect, and he would have to correct them anyway. He was one smart dude.
I've never had a telecon...... :(

Why? all you need is a bbl. Everything else is interchangeable. Why spend money all over again? Used pistol uppers don't seem to be moving all that well, anywhere.
The 2nd question. Not that it needs to be put on line. Just figure the logistics out.
1- Suppressor, either way you need one, There's $1K by the time you're finished
2 - Complete upper $$ ?? 300 seems to be the current 5.45x39 flavor of the month, so bbls are almost premium priced, plus the accessories to go with it.
There's a 300 upper w/out BC/B/CH/ on arfcom for $350, it's had 250 views but no takers, to date.
3- Components $308 bullets, powder, Brass (no problem there) primers
4- working up loads for your intended use, then locating everything for that load.
Your investment wil run $500 + for upper + basic load development then $1k for the suppressor. Which you should get first, before anything else,.

I understand that I can just swap the barrel, but I want to change the handguard to something lighter weight, and obviously you can't attach a suppressor to a KX3. I don't need the handguard or the KX3, so I may as well sell them and put that money toward the next goal.

Can any geniuses make an educated guess what height these rings will be? The seller hasn't returned my email.
The guy claims they're Badger Ordnance Low in the title, then Medium in the description, and #13102 isn't anywhere to be found online as a "model number". At $75 (auction will probably end around $100), it might be a good deal. If not, I might get some TPS rings, heard they're great alternatives to BOrdnance.

I just get the $1 small padded envelope and throw it in there. That way you're not using up flat rate shipping charges.
If it can fit into a quart size zip lock bag, it can fit into one of those envelopes. $1 + $2.85 is still better than $9 for a flat rate box.

I just paid $12 to ship it. Should've gone that bubble envelope route. Oh well. Lesson learned. I just pray it doesnt go to Erie via Chicago. At this rate I should've got the CTR!

Sigh, I almost hate having real world experience when taking classes.
In the lab manual for our slot car, the two ends of the rear axle have call outs for "8-32 UNC-2B" threads. For starters, 2B is an INTERNAL thread, so it makes no sense for the wheel to have 8-32 UNC-2B threads, and the axle to have the same thing. That's like trying to screw a nut into a nut. It doesn't work, unless you're sitting down and crush your boys.
Furthermore, the OD of the rear axle is SMALLER than the minimum allowed major diameter of 8-32 UNC-2A (what I assume they meant, being external threads), so again, the rear axle shaft would most likely just slide right through any 8-32 UNC-2A die, or at the very least be threaded so minimally that the thread engagement is pathetic and can barely be called UNC-2. [facepalm]
BuffCyclist

Sigh, real world problems, nitpicking thread classes... [Shake]
Well, I spent my entire afternoon replying to emails and attempting to make heads or tails of this lab manual. Its horrible when you correct so many problems (these weren't the only ones) to the instructor/TA and they had no clue. But it does make you feel better knowing that you're the only person who will notice things like that [LOL]

Funny you should mention that! The lecture instructor (same level of education as me, but with 20yrs industry experience compared to my 3.5yrs) has already stopped asking the class questions and has started looking at me asking me to explain things [LOL].
On the other hand, I guarantee the lab instructor (in the machine shop) has MUCH more experience than me, mostly because I've never used a CNC Milling Machine and he's got 3 different kinds in the shop and even a 5-axis CNC Milling Machine [Shock]

It's a 4-axis CNC milling machine with the ability to rotate the part like on a lathe. See this:
http://www.albitech.org/uploads/pics/empaler_on_hass.jpg
And no, I will not get you one. If I could afford one, it would be sitting in my garage already and I'd be churning out parts. What would the parts go to? I have no clue, but I'd be churning them out! [LOL]
eta: The tool can move in X, Y, Z axes. The part holder can rotate changing the angle of the z-axis. Then, the part can also be spun in the toolhead like on a lathe.

I have considered it, making firearms would be fun.
Although, I have also designed a suppressor, as well as performed the finite element analysis on it, but I haven't quite decided to pay for the tax stamp because my machining skills aren't up to par for the constraints I would need.
But with this 5-axis cnc, I could TOTALLY build it. After I applied for the tax stamp of course.
And if my current career falls through, I would highly consider something like that, designing/building/selling suppressors. If I recall, with the proper license to manufacture and sell suppressors, you only need to sell a minimum of 6 per year, so I could currently apply for it and then just sell the first 6 at super discounted prices so people would be crazy NOT to buy one.
Hmm... now you've got me thinking about it again!
