She said "fine". No comments about transport, ailment, ….anything. It would be easy to just say forget worrying about you then with an answer like that, but I respect her decision to reveal nothing I suppose. Ah yes….it blows because it sucks. A failed seal blew oil all throughout the exhaust system.

The bright side of course, is getting it repaired AND improving the efficiency while they're messing with it,...right? I'll find out some options on Monday and see if I can get it wicked up during the rebuild process. It's too bad that 25 years ago, I knew somewhat of a turbo genius who I'm sure is long retired by now. More boost is always gooder.

Used was certainly an option to consider, however I think in this case, new and or improved will be superior. This one of a kind truck deserves that I figure.

I've got my sights on the wheels and rubber I want (38" Nitto Ridge Grappler w/ XD13768068706N OR XD13768054906N not sure which yet), and the winch bumper has been ordered.(w/o paint as I will be messing with light options and some other stuff) The flatbed should be here by the end of Oct. (Aluma 81096).

1. My mom's car needs a battery, so we decided to just do it at walmart instead of the dealership. I gotta meet her after my physical therapy near Stapleton walmart.

OEM AGM batteries are lasting us only 3 years average. Going to try the aftermarket H7.

2. I had limp mode on my car today and it was annoying the hell out of me. I did diagnose and it did not make any sense on code readers.

By looking at the car clock, it was 2 minutes behind, so I put the car on battery tender.
After doing that for 6 hours, limp mode is gone.

To be sure, I gotta see how it goes tomorrow and run diagn again.

My car has been flipping the temp control readout to C randomly every few days.

I was messing around in the fuse panel Saturday, but today I notice the parking lamps don't flash when locking/unlocking with the remote. Have to get the VAG plugged in and check the central locking control module coding. Something changed and it didn't reset to factory because my remote window up/down I enabled and the auto lock I disabled still works.

I just put a Costco Interstate battery in it 2 years ago so if it shits the bed I will not be a happy camper.

I think it's OE stuff in the 44 front....I'll be putting a Dana 60 with disc in the rear after much of the other stuff is done. Sure would be nice to get a 60 for the front though. Guy at work smashed up his '02 F250 a few years back and I tried to buy it from him...no joy at the time. I'll most likely have to be doing some gear changes when it's getting closer to being finished, so I expect if I have the 44 still, I'll get new shit for that as well.

Oh well, I want it right when it's done, so.... something's gonna happen.

Holding the "steer" isn't alignment. I have no idea what vehicle you're driving, but racks, gears, ball joints and even steering column bearings and connecting shafts can all get "sticky" and cause your hold problem.

Replaced shocks, dampener, sway bar end links, and greased the knuckles where I could. Then I got the alignment. Fixed some of it, but not all of it. Truck sat last year for a few months, and sat this year off and on for a couple weeks at a time. it's just annoying with all the minor correcting of the wheel all the time. [DriveBy][Ban1]

Silly you, that's the problem, it's a Dodge. Really. I know. I have a Dodge too. Had several in fact & sometimes do repairs myself.

Hmmm.... might be a forrest for the trees kind of thing & I say this because it actually happened to me. 3 different shops took my drivetrain apart every which way, recommending sway bar, u joints & among other things even a differential -lol. All of which I passed on the recommendations to replace. I don't drive the truck everyday, sometimes not for weeks also I needed it soon & this problem solved. Frustrated I sat on the concrete floor & just looked at her & something seemed a little off. Couldnt put my finger on it exactly but she looked different somehow. Epiphany occured: I think those are 2 different sized tires & upon closer inspection also had 2 different tread patterns! All those folks, all that time with their noses a foot from the text on the tire while taking it apart & didn't look or notice. Moreover, the shop that put my 4 NEW tires on the month before didn't look either (both f*ing times) & they were the first shop I took it to. Im going to include this because it was relevant at the time, all information about the truck & service history that I offered at each shop was pretty much ignored including the new tires & half of the automotive staff didn't even bother to talk to me about the 'complicated' issues & one actually asked if he could talk to my husband since it was his truck. Idiots.

Not saying it's the tires, just think maybe you ought to check features to be sure. Also unlikely but if you have anything other than factory wheels & the tech was a dolt, the adjustments could be off (or beyond correction) on your alignment. That 'it' appeared to improve after the alignment is suspect to me & I'd revisit it.

Oh & it's a bloody Dodge so it's always broke somewhere, often you just don't know it yet. Ha!

I have had almost no trouble with my 2004 CTD. At least none that wasn't self induced.

FWIW, for 03-08 trucks you should swap out the Y steering for the T steering setup. I think the later 08 has the T setup. I bought a complete setup on ebay from a Dodge dealer cheap. You need to linkages and pitman arm.

If that is what's happening, you can easily check it by getting the front and rear axles up on stands and turn the wheel to full lock left, and full lock right while the 4x is engaged...and if you hear and feel a bunch of banging and jerking....one or both of them are partially seized up....and might be causing your handling issue.

If that is what's happening, you can easily check it by getting the front and rear axles up on stands and turn the wheel to full lock left, and full lock right while the 4x is engaged...and if you hear and feel a bunch of banging and jerking....one or both of them are partially seized up....and might be causing your handling issue.

The 3rd Gen+ straight axle Dodge/Ram 2500/3500 only disconnect at the transfer case. EVERYTHING else from wheel to shaft spins all the time. They do make aftermarket PT hub kits, but the good ones are pricey.

2nd Gen had a center axle disconnect. Still no locking hubs.

Lots of people converted that CAD to a manual cable, which got you 2wd low if needed.

My entire family went to Starbucks, and ordered tall ice coffee with our own personal starbucks tumbler. I brought my 24oz, and they filled it up. I drank it all, and had another refill of 24oz.
I am STILL drinking the leftover ice coffee from 2pm.
My guess is on a 24oz cup, ~14oz is actual coffee and ~10oz of volume is ice. So, I am finishing up ~28oz of ice coffee without sweetner nor creamer.

We're considering at black stainless for the kitchen redo. It's a complete gut with a pony wall coming out and new layout.

Trying to stay relatively low key for a decent 4 piece Whirlpool set around 4-5K discounted, I find the fridge (counter depth) doesn't have adjustable (or cantilever) shelves (WTF?). Have them now in our 15 year old Kenmore (Whirlpool). Kenmore often adds lots of nice features to their rebranded whirlpool but they don't have a slide-in range. DW also needs to be available with the third (cutlery) rack.

Moving up the line to LG and +40% cost, the slide in range (electric) appears to be susceptible to scratching of the surface? Seems sketchy for a $1,400 range.

Samsung is currently off my list based on my recent experience with the range I bought under duress. POS. There's no "medium" on this thing and the controls are insanely useless.

All that said, maybe I should start looking at switching over to a gas range as that opens up my options a bit more - but also breaks the bank. Gas line is nearly directly below the range placement.

You'd like cooking on a gas range, when it's off, it's off. No residual heat while element is cooling down, easy to not only adjust flame, but visual while in use.

Plus.. If you have a loss of power, you can still cook on the range and oven. Based on average APS monthly electric bill, we couldn't imagine what someone pays who's all electric.

Went with Kitchen Aid. The fridge was over/under...split fridge doors, counter depth. The damn thing seems alien to me, but I'll get used to it eventually. Aint never had a fridge with more than 2 doors either side by side or horizontal.

That damn range though was half of the total purchase price. At least everything matches, with the same warranty and all that business.

Didn't fill a single tag. Three of us had buck licenses. Since I only draw buck once every three years, I spent my focus on that, even though I saw a heard of elk two days in a row. Each day I sat in a different spot and the guy with only a bear tag was constantly surrounded by bucks. I've really learned that you can't really elk hunt if you are deer hunting at the same time. Well, you can, but you have to be elk hunting first, and just happen to see deer. I already learned that lesson years ago, but it hurt more that I still didn't listen to myself this year. Also, my hunt got cut short, but I still had like six days. Oh well. Buddies did down two small bucks and I got to practice my field dressing/quartering skills some more so that was good. Part of not getting too far away from camp when hunting elk is the pain it is to get one back to the truck. The better I get at breaking them down in the field, the more likely I can effectively get to where they are.

I know that apartment very well. It is kinda difficult to conduct a party in that apartment. I didn't live there, but 2 of my friends did at a sperate occations. One unique about it is that most of 1st floor people use balcony door as a front door.
One lived fartest right (1st floor) from the photo, and other friend later years lived on 3rd or 4th from the right (also 1st floor).

College Foozball I can stand, professional not so much.

The new turbo did get rebuilt and was installed last week. Still had the oil leak but it was worse....found out the crankcase wasn't breathing like it's supposed to but is repaired now. The engine pressure was such that the turbo oiling system couldn't drain back into the block and rather discharged the oil into the down and up-pipes instead.

The shop that rebuilt the part used the van exhaust housing with the back pressure pedestal/valve delete, and went with the wicked wheel II. He said it's the best package upgrade you can do for a Garret 7.3 non roller bearing unit. I did get the cooling system installed minus the heater box aspect so I can run it for extended periods of time now and try to burn the last of the oil out of all the pipes for good. The heater is bypassed for now because I'll be putting in an upgraded heat/ A/C case with the evaporator and all that shit later. The kit is pretty nice, as they give you all the stuff to run factory style dash vents with the proper ducting and everything, with the option to delete the compressor and condenser as I already have van stuff I can use, and they modify your stock function control unit to activate the A/C when called for.

Got the electric fans all wired up nice and neat, but the system is only filled with water for now as I wanted to make sure there were no water/seal problems anywhere on the engine. Only found one block drain plug with a little moisture on it and I can seal that up before I go in with the coolant refill.

Gmail UI has always been utter shit, it just keep getting worse.

It's not even the new UI, which sucks. It's now SLOW. I went to compose an email this morning and it acted like I was trying to open a large file; going from inbox to sent, it also lagged. I don't get it. I'm now using it on html basic view just so I can actually open emails, but that sucks too cus it doesn't auto-populate previously used emails. Will probably just move to Thunderbird and stop using web interface.

GO contact sync mod is the best free desktop sync tool I've found.

The one thing I would caution anyone using any sync tool is to disable Gmail's feature to automatically create calendar entries from email. I had a weird cyclic issue and Gmail sent out a bunch of calendar invites from that account to a client. Caught all kinds of hell for that one - major security complications there.

No, not anymore. That game crosses my mind every time I see a potential candidate, but it scares the hell out of me unless it’s glaringly obvious. I’ve been wrong, and it is not fun.
