I have decided that airlines need to adopt the following policies:

1. before boarding the plane, you will be required to proceed through an obstacle course with your roll on luggage. If you bump into anything, your bag will be checked.

2. At the end of the obstacle course, you will be required to lift your luggage into am overhead compartment. If you are unable to do this without dropping your bag, falling over, crushing other bags or ask for assistance to lift your bag, your bag will be checked.

3. If you smell like ass, BO, cigarettes, cologne, perfume, have greased back douche hair, are actually a douche, or fail to reply to the flight attendant when they greet you as you board the plane, you will be checked and will not receive beverage service in the cargo bay.

4. A "beanie" is also grounds for you being checked. That is, assuming you aren't also wearing a hoodie with the hood pulled over your "beanie".

5. If you are unable to count and can not locate your aisle, or pass it because you thought "5 comes after 12", just keep walking off the back of the plane.

Now, who's with me in getting airlines to adopt these?

The difference is this: I ALWAYS gate-check my carry-on, and my small personal bag is actually medically required equipment that I HAPPEn to have stuffed my ipad into. I gate-check, then watch my movie, read my book, etc.

Okay okay okay, I guess I didn't use enough profanity in my rant. I'm just so freaking sick of entitled "get out of my way so I can encroach on your space" type of people with no respect for others' property. Once again, someone dropped their bag on me, while trying to jam it in the overhead ONTO my backpack (which I'll admit was covered by my jacket, but still). When I told them I had a bag up there and to be not damage my laptop, they tried pulling it back and then lost control and dropped it on me. I'm also sick of people walking through aisles (not just boarding) and somehow still hitting you with their arm, side, butt, whatever. Smelly people just suck in general.

On the other hand, the crying baby in my row, other side of the aisle was quite soothing. In fact, it made me a little homesick. I miss my baby!!! [Cry]

And I'm sure Belly that you have respect for other people and aren't an ass. 99% of the people that I saw today all had huge backpacks and roll on luggage. Frick, I'm a cheapskate and I pay the $25/bag (not anymore though, yay upgraded class or something!) because its a hassle to have a roll on everywhere! Its also annoying when people drag them like 5ft behind themselves, then cut you off and expect you to wait for their bag to pass. It's like the idiot who makes a left turn in front of you while driving and forgetting their pulling a 40ft trailer. I actually might have kicked a few bags intentionally today... I might try to flip some over next time...

Oh, sorry no. It was basically like 100 times cleaner than you'd expect. The filtration and ventilation system replaces the air on the entire plane every 5min. It was so ridiculous I didn't believe it, especially since you don't feel mass quantities of air flow. I doubt I could find the article again. I'm actually a pretty mellow guy, sometimes. However i'm also the GET OFF MY LAWN type.

Regarding my ordering off the menu. IF i request something NOT be on the item, it's really not that hard (Or is it?) for the food prep & cooks to read the ticket. I also understand the wait staff is at the mercy of the kitchen crew. Either way the waitress / er gets a gratuity. They didn't fuk my order up.


Another way to get kids back in line, the old PULL MY FINGER routine. Crack one off after they pull your finger. The kid laughs, mom or dad cop an attitude. I then say., if you paid as much attention to your kid as i am, they wouldn't be bothering me. The airline, attendants, OR other passengers are not their daycare nanny.

Then there are the kids who stay in their seat, listen to their parent [s] , The parent takes no gruff from them. Those folks i / we thank. Offer to pay for their movie and or beverage.

Probably another reason we don't fly. Besides TSA, not being able to keep a firearm within reach, on your body.

UA has FIVE, count em, 5 boarding priority lines. Plus the pre-board.

As I recall, It goes something like this:

Preboard:
Elderly, those with children, and others that need more time (that doesn't mean YOU, lardass Jackhole, with the limp from your ingrown toenail)
Mil
Global Service

P1 (First Class, all other Elites/Premiers down to Platinum (75K/year))
P2 Premier Gold & Silver, UA Mileage Plus cardholders and those that bought P2.

3-5 are boarded by back-front and window-aisle order as appropriate for the aircraft.

I could be off, but that's the way I understood it.

They jacked with it for a while after the UA-Cont merger, but ended up with this.

Early boarding is all about getting a spot for your carry-on and getting settled before all the kettles board because sure as hell, some turd burgler heading for the back is going to shove his oversize bag in the overhead that's clearly marked RESERVED FOR ECONOMY PLUS. What does it matter if you're sitting at the gate or on the aircraft? Flyers with status are also mostly towards the front so they are first off.

FWIW, I almost literally LOL while waiting to board my last flight. The first guy lined up in the P1 line wouldn't move for the first guy unloading that wanted to use the P1 lane instead of the general coral the gate agent made for the unload. Like watching two old decrepit Elk fighting over a cow.

I did hear a really cool first hand story about a self-entitled ass calling another passenger a "rodent" during an accidental bump while unloading and getting knocked the fuck out in the jetway by said (young Cowboy) rodent.

I have a pair of Westone in-ear monitors and listen to music on my iPhone. Even without music playing, these things use foam plugs to seal your ear canal 15dB. I could probably shoot outdoors with these in wothout music. Add music at a reasonable level and you can hear a person speaking standing next to you. Super high quality sound drivers and made in Colorado Springs to boot.

Man, finished up my crown at the dentist today. If anyone wants a reference for a good dentist, (DTC area kinda) lemme know. Quality hygienists..... Long story short, I've been going to the practice since I was a kid, the same receptionist is still there.(she's known me since I was 7 y.o. at least) The new dentist lady took over the practice 19 years ago.

The work I had done went flawlessly, the temporary felt natural, the permanent one feels same or better. I don't have "major" work done very often, but I've heard so many horror stories about bad dental experiences / work.

They told me that there was no snow on the roof (at 1:00 pm) and the roofer was on the way up as we were speaking. They were pissed because there was a mis-communication somewhere and I only had a home number to leave a message at, so of course when they were at the house (not their house) waiting for me, they didn't know I wasn't coming. I'm still having a hard time believing all the snow melted in only two hours though. The storm has to stop some where so I could be wrong of course, but given the conditions all morning, I'm okay with the call I made.

OBC, I'm not sure. I don't ever see what people pay for their policies. I only see coverage amounts and deductibles. I know some good agents if you'd like some quotes though. Send me a PM for that info.

If you mean wearing a lot of Jmets and HCWT's "Pro gun/rifle" apparel, I know they've seen that. I wear my CO AR-15 clothing proudly..... the appraiser that was here last week noticed that logo on my shirt, and mentioned getting that put onto a flag, and hang it outside the front door. Personally, I liked the idea of putting a torso target with holes through the appropriate locations, and affixing it to the entry doors.

The flag idea would be pretty cool though. But then again, is that kinda advertising "goodies in the house" ? Hell, I dunno.

Speaking of the appraiser, the refinance is finally DONE....the "credit colonoscopy" is over,....payment drops by $700 a month, and first payment isn't until April 1st. Between that and the kids $500 mth. rent, I'll be up $1200 a mth. until he finally buys his own house, he's been looking and putting offers on stuff, but keeps getting beat out by the "fix and flip" crowd.

Sorted a lot of brass tonight, and that was only about 1/4 of what I have. After collecting brass over the years and going from only saving what I shot to picking up everything, I suddenly find myself with more brass than I know what to do with.

I keep up on the sorting pretty much after each range trip, but there's a lot you don't see until after cleaning, or even after decapping/sizing. I've caught a few nasty boys either trimming or the final cleanup stages deburring, etc.

One of those nights when random thoughts keep running through the brain and for some reason, I have Jo Dee Messina's "Bye bye" on a loop and it won't stop! The house is silent, the wind is blowing outside and my neighbors just got home, their dogs are barking now and I can hear the Coyotes yipping out back.

I tried reading but I am bored with gun magazines right now and I have no other material to turn my attention to right now. Maybe after the gun show tomorrow I will hit up a couple of thrift store and see what they have in their libraries for cheap. Never can tell.

And what is it with these asshole politicians anyway? Why do they want to dick around with the second amendment? Is it about control of you and I or do they really think we will be safer and kinder to each other if we only have 7 rounds in a magazine. WTF is wrong with them? Assholes, all of them!

I miss my old Rem 700. I traded for it back in 1981 and had to sell it with some other treasures when times got tough several years ago. I keep an eye out for it at the gun shows and it was just unique enough that if it wasn't altered by the new owner, I'll know it if I see it. My Win M 70 is pretty cool but I miss that Remington.

Also, I need more .45 ACP to shoot. But prices are still a little too high for something that is disposable. Oh well, I'll just have to shoot 9mm for the time being.

I have been collecting parts for my first AR build and of course, I am over thinking the project. I can't decide what barrel length I should go with; a 16" or should I SBR and can it? I have my trust set up. Then there is the stock, and the hand guards, and the sights to use. The variety of accessories in truly bewildering. Now it is 1:50 something and I still hear Jo Dee a little but not as much. Oh crap, Man, i feel like a woman just made an appearance in my dome. Shania is really pretty but I would rather all the bitches would shut up for a little while.

I dvr'd the Supercross from San Diego tonight and I will watch it tomorrow, I mean later on today. Interesting season so far and its anyone's championship this year, no one is clearly dominant so far. American motorcycle road racing has been not so good these last few years, I hope the new organizers can get it back to where it should be. Politics screws everything up eventually. I hope someone can take it to Marquez this year in Moto GP. I mean the guy is good but I would rather see the racing a little closer with more winners during the season.

Has any one seen the Miss Hannah Minx videos on YouTube? Weird stuff there but quasi erotic nonetheless. Bizarreness abounds on the internet.

I remember when I used to ride my dirt bikes in the desert with my friends and we would sit around the campfire in the evenings and drink Bud and Jack. These beetle looking bugs would run right into the fire and the big ones would sometimes "pop" as they burned. Pretty funny when one is drunk. Once a friend put a beer can half filled with premix in the fire. The gas started to boil and there was a jet of flame about two feet long shooting up. i was off to the side taking a leak and he stands up and shoots the can with his .45 and I think you know what happens. Yep, A big ball of flame and he and another friend are standing there and man, did they feel the heat. Red faces, missing eyebrows and honest to God, the next day you could see their outlines on the side of his truck and camper from the heat of the explosion. One of the lawn chairs melted too. All I could do was laugh at that. I really miss riding in the desert with my friends.

I need to reorganize my garage. Things are stacking up and I know that there is something that I can toss in the trash. My wife says the garage is mine but she keeps putting stuff out there and tells me that we need it or will need it at some point. We have stuff in boxes in the garage that we brought with us from CA back in 1999 that we have not unpacked and she won't let me sell it or toss it. If I ever get her to go visit her family back in CA, I WILL get rid of some of that stuff.

My laces on one of my work boots snapped yesterday. So I will need to stop by Red Wing and get some more. Red Wings, yep, I earned them back in 1988 and yes, I was drunk at the time but, I knew what I was doing. Kind of a right of passage back then. I never did know her name.

The coyotes are back and trying the get the neighborhood dogs to come out and play. I can also smell a skunk now and the coyotes are gone now. That was close to home and getting worse, I can almost taste it. Yuck! The cats are up and asking to go outside. No way I tell them, you don't want to be food!

I should probably start some laundry since I'm up. Nah, too noisy. I'll do my laundry later in the afternoon after I get back from the gun show. Maybe I can find some .45 ACP at a reasonable price. Ha! Like that will happen!

The wife is up now and has just asked me why I am up and telling me that I better not be buying anything online, I have enough ammo and parts and things and she needs a haircut and so does out daughter. They just got a haircut last summer. Women, so demanding and not so understanding. Why do women feel that they are so enlightened just because only they can give birth. I miss riding dirt bikes in the desert. I'll have to get the old CR500 up and running again this spring and do some riding. I can always ice the knees after the ride.

Trying to decide what I should build next. Thinking a 20" A2 would be fun. Can't decide if I want the buttstock to be A2 or A1 though? I like the length of A1's but an A2 would be more correct for what was carried back in the day. I've been moving away from modern AR stuff and going more retro with everything. I find they are more fun to shoot for some reason. Can't beat the prices right now for adding to the collection.

Yeah, those tended to get accidentally rubbed across the concrete multiple times. Coincendentally, it would tame the spikiness down.

I've been smitten by the 300BLK bug.

Picked up a 16" complete upper yesterday from a COAR15 member on a smokin hot deal, and found a super deal on an AAC 9" barrel kit last night on GB of all places.

Now I need to sort out a nice stripped upper, build parts, and a right-length rail sans cheese grater and weight.

A1 w/ triangle handguards and an upper with the optics carrying handle that has no brass deflcetor. if' you're gonna go retro... go for it!

If I did that, I'd wanna go all the way with a A1 lower, Nodak has a nice one. But I'd also be temped to do an original 601/602 SP1 style upper with no FA and a no fence lower. For now I got a few modern lowers that need a home. Maybe I'll do a full on A2 for now and then go with a1 clone later. Still need to get a CAR stock for my 733, its sporting a magpul right now. Basically, what I'm saying is, I like shooting with peep sights. Feels like more of a refinement of the art than putting the dot on things and going bang. Although I still got a few with optics and dots lying around too.

I just put a midwest 9" m-lok rail on my 10.5. Pretty nice for weight, feel and price. The bonus for me was that they have QD holes milled in all over the place. Worth a look.

I'll get the tape out tonight when I get home. The keymod rail looks the exact same as mine (with the exception of little penis' instead of rectangular slots) I highly recommend it. Super light.
