Fukkin snow and wind. We have had a wind with snow event every week for the last 4 weeks. Am asshole deep in snow piles and still have 2-3 hours of tractor work to get cleaned up. That is after 3-4hrs each storm event.

Snow is no big deal but the wind was way above average this last year. We(I have lived/worked in many windy places, mrs bo has gotten used to the wind) have gotten used to the wind over the last 20yrs but this last year has been the worst by far for wind.

This years snow days include one day that was due to truck being in shop and not available. My little commuter cant bust wind driven drifts like the 8000lb farm/work truck.

This is a 16x32 driveway. And the soil is mostly clay so not draining well. They're going to have to let it dry and it will still need some road base (that's costing me extra).

Turns out the pipe wasn't perforated and did already dump a foot out into the space between properties.

Went with a friend Saturday to do some last minute scouting for his upcoming black powder Moose hunt starting Sep 9.

Hiked in and saw tons of sign all around his chosen area. Superhighway game trails. Moose, Elk, Deer, (and bear) scat and fresh track for both Moose and Elk. He's taken Elk in there before and knows the area pretty well.

Not this one. It's a bone stock Inland, from the worn finish, matching #'s etc. The way she was shooting, w rds would just add unnecessary weight, plus as the eyes get older more of a hindrance, than help. Interesting idea, however, for someone wanting a different defensive carbine.

The granny types out here are running Staccato's, STI's , full size 1911's VP9's. Carbines run from a PSA, to LWRC's and DD's. Last of my clients i saw over at tombstone was going to lunch to see if she could make up her mind between the POF, or DD carbine. Her sidearm's are the kimber Ultra Carry II or CZ PO-1. These ladies don't fool around, especially the AWA one's. They're more geared up than most " tier 1" wannabe's . It's interesting how many woman (of all ages) take their training seriously out here.

ER three Xs in four weeks in Aug. BP 54 over 52, O2 77%...they sent the wife out of the room just in case. Four broken metatarsals L foot, among other things. Repaired three vehicles engine wiring from rats eating them...and installing strobe/sound emitters and spraying spearmint spray on all the wiring. I've trapped at least six of those little fuckers since then and two skunks, all of which got "repurposed" in the arroyo :).

Wanted to say Merry Christmas and New Year to you all. Wife made a metric shit ton of cookies over the weekend and I helped a bit when I could and also bagged 'em up, we delivered over fifty individual baggies six cookies per bag for our local police department and one for their K9 (Sirius)....their other dog is comfortably retired now. (Lesko). It felt pretty damn good doing that for them.

Waiting on a bone density scan before I see the surgeons for two fractured vertebra, cement wont work so it's pins and rods a comin' I'm told. Hopefully all this shit works out on the other side when it's all said and done. I picked up my permanent Handicap Placard today to place into whichever vehicle I can manage to get into and operate.....never thought I'd have something like that at 56. They're still trying to find meds that work for me but it's a law I have to see my primary every thirty days cause of the levels of stuff they're moving me up to. Big learning curve for them and myself.

The visit with the kid was real nice, we're glad he came down. He'll come down again next month to help us celebrate my wife and I's first anniversary "on paper" anyways. Ha. Love that boy, he's a good kid...I still keep trying to convince him to move his happy ass down here near us, that would be pretty cool. With the shit he knows how to do, and his strong work ethics I know he could find good employment pulling some decent salary down.

I told him about the placard today, and he said he "didn't know they gave those out to the mentally challenged". Little fucker. Clearly I'm a bad influence on those close to me lol. On a side note.... I normally destroy ANY insect I find in my home. There is something different I've noticed though recently, there is a small spider that took up shop in the guest bathroom about 10 days ago. Tiny little web in the corner by the shower basin but he's always right there so I know where he is and I really don't see him getting any food in that location. He doesn't freak out with lights or activity near his set up, so I decided to let him live for now, I'm more curious about whether he'll venture somewhere else or continue with his plan.

Will he starve to death in place? I dunno but I'm willing to see what the hell he does.

As far as spiders go, everyone in CO knows the basic wolf spider. We have those down here as well, but, there is another species of wolf in this area at least that basically has rocket boosters unlike the standard wolf. Those fuckers are stupid fast, never seen anything like that before. To scale it must be like a 50mph arachnid....strange.

Yesterday, I again worked the Sportsman's Expo in Denver for the CPW. The Kid's Fishing Tank was busy with kids reeling in nice rainbows left and right. Many were youngsters, some 4 and 5 years old who caught their first-ever fish. It was great fun and I look to do it again next year.

The Sportsman's Expo continues today and Sunday. If you have kids and want to do the fishing tank, I recommend going early as the weekend gets very busy.

For Superbowl Sunday we fixed a Moose Bulgogi (Korean BBQ with a CO mountain twist). This week I'm cooking. Tonight was Steelhead Trout over mixed salad. Trying to keep it meat and veggies with very low carbs and no sugar. It's been good for us.

Last fall, I was fortunate to take my 2nd CO moose in 5 years. We're still working on the 2018 bull, so in one form or another, moose is on the menu about 4-5+ days a week, breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.

It's funny. Today my haircutter asked about the Superbowl and I told her we fixed the Moose Bulgogi. She said that they had Superbowl moose, too, at her daughter's home. Haircutter's husband got his first CO bull in North Park last fall and they fixed a roast.

So Mrs bo and I were out on adventure yesterday and decided to stop in at the new Buc-ees.

It was madhouse busy and PIA to navigate thru store most of the time. Mrs bo likes to browse throughly new stores.

Gas was decent price.

Mrs bo picked up a couple souvineers and we tried several different food items and snacks.

The food was good for road eats/snacks, staff was friendly/helpful.

Overall good experience, probably will not do it again unless late at nite or obviously not busy.

Kinda creepy racing a thunder storm for cover. NWS claimed storm was moving 60 mph. It covered 5 miles in the time it took me to cover 1/2 mile on the tractor.

Very little thunder, lightning or hail but wind was 60 mph+.

Lots of rain very fast. All the "dry" creeks were running and many ditches flowed over. We got 1 1/4" + in 20 mins.

Howdy, I'm still above the dirt. I finally turned this turd on for my first "tele-health" event, and wanted to come say hi to you fellers.

I did talk briefly with GK the other day about golf carts, but other than that the only communications I have are with my wife or one of my neighbors periodically. The exception would be the kid who's still doing the work I did up in Denver, good kid. He's running that show now and doing a good job of it.

Lobo, that Daytona was a fuckin mess, lol. Missed Atlanta though. I'm happy with what I see from our new President thus far and have hope again now. Health issues are starting to beat up on me, but it was to be expected considering the work I did and how I treat myself personally.

Wife took a few extra days off to take care of me. Friday after the block wore off and today was rough but I'm on the mend.

Sleeping in the recliner and waking up every 3 hours having to unhook the ice machine and get up to pee and take meds kinda sucks.

Tear turned out to be full thickness so there was a lot more damage/repair. Hopefully it helped having the director of ortho trauma as your surgeon.
