Costume role play maybe?
It was my Pump Action 12 Gauge Shotgun based on Mossberg 500 and sold by Montgomery Ward back in the day. First gun I owned. Think I got it in a trade; Amiga Computer for a Shotgun, Guitar, and Amp. :D
Here's the "advertisement" I sent Chick for it in a PM. :)
--
Has a select-a-choke on it, which allows you to dial in, or out the spread of the shot.
It had a dowel in it, limiting it to 2 rounds in the magazine but I removed that and it now takes 5+1 in the chamber.
It's a very inexpensive, nothing fancy, 12 Gauge Shotgun from years gone by, based on a tried and true design, and works dandy.
Makes a very satisfying noise when you "rack" it.
It's actually the first gun I have ever owned, got it (and a guitar and amp) in trade for a computer, way back in the day.
Here's some reading on it...

She really handled it well, and watching her I forgot how much kick that thing has until I shot it later. She made it look easy!

Others will likely disagree with me but I find trap so easy it?s almost boring. Skeet I struggle with to the point it almost frustrates me.
Sporting clays is a hoot.

I think I'd like to try both.
I wasn?t discouraging you.
Make a trip to Colorado Clays. Maybe shoot a couple of rounds of trap then try a little skeet. Once you?re warmed up and in the groove play a round of sporting clays.

My spouse did skydiving, unfortunately the chute always opened [panic]
We'd watch, while she did jumps we enjoyed bloody marys. What was a tiny spec in the sky rapidly became larger & larger till the chute opened. I know the bloody marys were as enjoyable for us as her jumping out of a plane was for her.
Remember. It's a big planet and never misses.

Anyone else finding that Amazon is becoming a pricey iffy quality place? My order is not going out for 2 more days, but too late to canel. Peime 2 day means it might be here in 2 days. I have to double check delivery dates as they change grom the product page to my order page.

Well maybe not the rockets... but yeah it'd be nice if he shipped his wares on time.
Yeah, I've seen a marked decline in Amazon quality lately, including missed deadlines, much longer shipping times than "prime" should allow for, etc.
Not to mention how they obfuscate and make making a smart buying decision almost impossible.
camelcamelcamel.com is your friend when trying to figure out amazon pricing, and what if any games they are playing today.
But, yes, in short they are an absolute mess and not to be trusted for an inch.

My biggest issue of late is their crappy delivery by AMZL locals.
I do shop around and don't just go to AMZ by default. After buying a new OEM (plastic) chrome grille on ebay from dealer stock, I'm considering new OEM headlight housings for my truck and Rock Auto ends up being the best deal. I find most OEM vehicle parts are way overpriced on AMZ over ebay or the OEM sites anyway.

I always review camelcamelcamel before buying something that's more than a few bucks and I could probably wait for. Easy to plan ahead for seasonal items.

I think most car parts now are third party vendors that pay for a AMZN service. They just list the parts and basically when you order they get paid and place an order with rock or a distributor. Would be ok if it saved $ but its just another crappy middle man.

It's so fun to be around someone so passionate for the sport, and I really learned a lot from the knowledge you have worked to accumulate in a relatively short time.
Thank you for helping me zero my new 6mm Creedmoor/Burris XTRII rig, and teaching me principles, like consistency, for accuracy.
And then with the A/R, speed, and being able to go offhand, or use offset sites. These are things I didn't even know existed. :)

Agreed.
That's where, when I get into this mode, I give certain things a time frame depending on perceived value. Throw it up on CL, ebay, here, etc for a period of time, then if it doesn't sell it gets recycled/scrapped/donated, trashed...

Most people like to think of hording stuff as having no cost.
I like to consider that every SF in a home or a property has a cost. Mortgage, insurance, utilities, tax, etc, it adds up to more than $1/SF/month for most homes. Gives some motivation to clear "stuff" out. A simple 2x2x2 foot box eats $48/year in space, possibly as much as $120 a year in some homes. Storage is never free, even if it is your home - you're either living a larger home than needed as a result, or your living space is drastically reduced, making your large home a small one.
Long story short, to motivate for serious crap removal, just keep adding the number of how much "space $" you are saving a year.. it gets big, quickly.
Of course, certain people have psychological disorders associated with hoarding. I've known some that have, I'm not going to pretend I know a solution for that.

That's a great way to look at it. I've never actually calculated the $/sqft of my house, but I certainly consider the cost of storing what I have.
And then you look at all the storage unit places that continue to get built, and figure that people continue to pay to store stuff they don't even remember they have...
So ridiculous...

I found the easiest way to off load "collectibles" is have a massive garage sale. Then close to a year later, see those who made wise buys resell it ;)
I usually just toss my collectibles in a trash can. Seems like the quickest way to get rid of them.
I'm with Jim on this one. Garage sale and watch in amazement as people pay you to take away stuff you would have thrown out in a month or so.

And Im in the same boat. Going through stuff and tossing what was kept and not touched for 10 years. Do I teally need my school notes or books from my childhood?.....
I have people turn stuff like that in on insurance claims. "Look at this box full of my kid's old homework that got water on it! I can never replace this old drawing/math homework/etc."
"I had several boxes full of old text books from the 1960's. I already threw them away but don't worry, I'll tell you how much they were worth."

I don't play the actual equity game when it comes to 'perceived' value as an example:
Yes, I understand you're asking $5.
Im offering $3.
Do you want to sell it or not because it's not worth $5 TO ME.

Do you quote out the FMV as an equivalent of printer paper or toilet paper? Kind of curious actually, I assume it's just outright disregarded.

Lots of people don't understand this.
My attitude, in this regard, has kept me from purchasing many things, because their perceived value and mine were not close enough to each other.
Just the value of paper or card stock or whatever. Most reasonable people don't ask for those things though. My favorite are the ones who realized they were accidentally hording garbage and just use it as an opportunity to throw stuff away.

It seems to be potentially one of the easiest solutions to a hording problem for sure. Especially from the perspective of a family member. Except for the bit about seeing Karl again, anyway.

Negotiating on services depends on the situation in play. There are situations where it is reasonable, and there are situations where it isn't.
(I generally expect some level of negotiation for my services with my customers. Less so for day to day things, but when I am building proposals for projects)...

I love the purchasing people that get involved after having done business with the same client for umpteen years and then suddenly your fees are "egregious" because they're used to getting 10x larger projects that have so much pad in them at 50% less cost. LOLz

Always happens...
They have to justify their job somehow. "Look, I saved us 10% on this project"...
The fact that I just gutted the warranty I normally offer on our radio networks doesn't get mentioned. Then, when things fail, the engineering/non-bean-counter folks are thinking "yay, gets fixed under warranty" until I send them back the amended warranty that the bean counters approved to get their price cut...
I've only had one customer not come back for repeat business because of this kind of game, but based on anecdotal information from a friend "in the know", they weren't coming back anyway and used that as the reason.

She is much more of a girly girl when it comes to "crafting". The majority of the rest of her interests? She's a tomboy, which works well with me.
Crafting is even a stretch. The majority of her project time is put into custom made costumes from movies/games that she likes.
Her Arwen (LOTR) dress took her over 100 hours to make and put all the detail and such in...
Best photo of it I can find right now... The detail in the gold stitching that she did by hand is unbelievable. She also made the hooded cloak in this picture...

Just let me log into the effin switch and do my thing.
I already told the manager for the platform I'm working on fixing for them (yea, it's AFU) that he's been uncooperative in the past and that if I did this project, I needed his full cooperation. We'll see how that goes tomorrow.

50+ mph winds yesterday, repeated today. What was 10 T of dirt delivered has been whittled down to a smaller pile. Of course my neighbor has maybe 6 T against his fence.

Defector code... interesting
That's good to know. I know almost next to nothing about drones.
Thats pretty much what it is too CN.
If you get it man hit me up and i can give you a walk through on setup, flying. The thing will fly itself, the DJI series are less drone and more of aerial video / picture platform.
STU correction that is a standard model Phantom not the pro. Imho its competitively priced but could be dropped, but it is also basicly new with case so worth asking price. If you dont get it and still want one you can find 3 pro's in the same range.

Isn't dirt delivered in yards instead of tons? I mean, yards of dirt do have weight after all.
Tones. You order / buy by the ton. Or trailer full, if pick up. Drive vehicle / trailer over scale. Once loaded over scale to see how much material you received.
Or you have a load delivered. Typical landscape delivery is free if over 8T . So you always go bigger than needed. They also base material needed on sq footage and depth of material. I want 2" of driveway rock (1/2-2" mix) over X area. They say 35T, i'm getting 50t to have some for other projects.
Unlike some landscape places in CO that try telling you one of their buckets is X yards of material. Which if you weighed it always falls much shorter than you paid for.
