A sneaky little cotton tail bitch snuck in the yard and had a litter of babies right next to the deck. Order came down that the bunnies were to be protectet.

Been baby sitting the dog while he is out in the yard for three days. Even had to improvise a shade and rain break for them yesterday.

Just snuck out and spyed on them a few minutes ago. Looks like mom is moving them to a different location instead of nursing them like I thought earlier.

Now at least the dog can have his yard back. And he better keep the damn rabbits out or he is gonna get kick in da dick.

Man, it only took me 2 months to get Operations Controller certified. They must have some really intense training out there.

The training is the opposite of intense. It's a giant bureaucratic waste of time. I SHOULD be certified and working by now, but it'll be months before I check all the right boxes and "get trained" by AETC. FWIW, the current AETC training I am in is 3 weeks long and could have been accomplished in 1 week or less. We actually study and cover course material for 2-3 hours a day. I went and talked to the CC about it and he gave me some political speech known as "the runaround". Hogwash.

Maybe, after your tour there, you can come work where I work. By then you'll be promoted again and can be our Director of Operations or such.

It's very helpful when the position isn't very stable (barricades) and also it helps me to stay calm; if I get that bolt moving fast, or in a non-deliberate manner, then I tend to rush a lot of things.

What part/parts are you looking at? Dawson FO front sights are top of the line. Their magazine base pads are also really good. If they have a sight that shows Out of Stock, they can normally machine and ship out in a few days. Zero complaints from me.

Two weeks ago, while in the middle of a Storage assessment for a client, they had a DC outage thanks to a 15 year old UPS that didn't come out of bypass mode during maintenance. BTW, WTF does UPS maintenance at 1530 on a Thursday afternoon?

Said assessment and planned remediation turned into an all nighter, and subsequent all weekender, of helping them with recovery activities. Thankfully, the modern Storage controller is pretty good about protecting data during events like these. They did discover additional deficiencies in the environment (AD dependencies on a dead DC) so they learned many things in the end. Not the least of which is that they need to move out to a Tier III/IV colo facility and ditch their shitty in-house DC.

I booked 85+ hours over 6 days and had travel on each end. Thu-Fri was an all nighter until 0900. Long days after and Sunday was 0400-2300

I have been reading up on it and sounds like RIA dovetail is a bit of a PIA(not exactly same as Novak) but doable. I got to watch Dave install one on a Kimber this morning.

Picked up a few new bolts and tips for the crossbow.....HAD to test drive them of course...and jacked one up right out of the gate.

Sometimes arrow tips don't know they're doing a lot of damage to another arrow already in the bag. :( dang it. At $80 for a dozen of them, it sucks to wreck one right away.

I've got a low/mid Man Kung. I really enjoy it though. I'm really leaning towards stepping into the "higher end" of the crossbow world and getting a quality bow. I'm also interested in a compound bow as well...but money isn't falling out of my ass just yet. lol.
