I'm always disappointed with dumbfucks that damage someone else's property due to carelessness, and I appreciate the streakers because I kinda dig the vibe.
Mazin, just leave that door ding alone for now and in six months when you get blasted with hail just get it fixed when they fix the 150 hail dents.
You know that comment just earned you a kick in da nuts the next time I see you right Ray!?
I remember streaking being popular in the '70s.
My parents ran in the "Bay to Breakers" in San Francisco back in the late '80s/early '90s. They were joined by my mom's brother and his wife. During the run someone passed them that was streaking. My uncle hollered to him, "Hey, naked guy. Nice shoes!"

Much as I hate the heat and the suck it brings, the lack of moisture is more concerning.
The 2" we got in July in early lame azz monsoon season kept pasture from burning up but still threatened unless get at least 3" of rain next 6-8 weeks. Even with 3"+ rain we won't even cut the grass this year. Zero production and lucky if I don't have to pony up to over seed this fall to have a chance of production next year.
Yep, really dry. Been hot up in WA as well, close to 100 near Renton. Public lands were closed for target shooting this weekend due to high fire risk.
I'm accustomed to afternoon thunder showers here in CO...but not so much this year.
4 box fans right at the window near full blast all night.
Unfortunately 2 box fans down stairs turns off, because 1st floor need those windows shut.
[shithitsfan]
2 window units (1 on each side of the house) and 4 ceiling fans. Not too terrible but I miss my central air thats for sure. When i was working at the fed center I used to talk to a few guys that worked in the ice core labs about CO turnig into a desert, thinking back over the years weather changes I can now see it. Thats why I will be heading north when we can.

AC and ceiling fan on and still hot.
I might water the roof and sidings next.
Get a little squirt bottle and shoot a few mist into the box fan, its what I call the generic NFL cool zone.
At night if it is much hotter like today, we squirt bunch of water on a window screen. Fan is inches away and it makes it similar to a swamp cooler as you mentioned.
You guys are soft.
I worked out in the yard from about 7:30 this morning until about 6:00 this evening.
And I didn?t whine about the heat once.
How long has it been since you regained consciousness?
Trimmed up that 70's bush finally ray?
My back yard was a wreck. I actually took the week off to try and get it in order. My wife is planning a big family shindig on Labor Day weekend so getting everything done a little here and there just wasn?t going to cut it. I replaced 24 sprinkler heads and have been trimming trees and dealing with weed mitigation in the decorative rocks that run around the outside perimeter of the yard. Cleaned and stained the deck too. Between the tree branches I have piling up and some stuff from a bathroom remodel I did over the winter stacked behind the garage I decided to just have a roll off delivered to dispose of everything. Need to see if my grill is functioning or else I?ll get a new one and toss the old one. I?ll have the roll off for five days so hopefully I can squeeze in time to get some stuff out of the garage too.
So yeah.... I guess I?ve been trimming the shit out of that 70s bush.
Kind of looking forward to going back to work next week so I can relax.

I'd kill for a brief shower, even a slight sprinkle of rain. Thundering this afternoon, rain drops start as i roll up the jeep windows. 1st window rolled up, rain stops. That's it in the last 4-5 days.

If the earth took 28 hours to make a full rotation. Would we still have a 7 day week?
Yes imho, if you don't still consider 24hrs still 1 day since it would take 28 for 1 full revolution of the earth to make one day, it would just be broke into 14hr segments the periods of light and darkness. But if you kept with 24 hrs in a single day then logically it should be an 8 day week. My question would be though is if we did have 28hr days what would that do to the climate on earth? Would we have weird weather patterns or less gravity since the rotation of the earth would be slowed?
Ok to early for this train of thought better take some advil to ward off potential headaches.
If the earth took 28 hours to make a full rotation. Would we still have a 7 day week?
Interesting. Assuming we were still flying around the sun at the same speed and you wanted to keep 365 days in a year then obviously there couldn?t be seven days in a week. Six days would get us pretty close.
Maybe any questions about the rotation of the earth should be directed towards one of those flat earth guys? That would be fun.
It would also be interesting to see how the slower rotation affected gravity as well.
Maybe more gravitational effect due to less inertia effectively crippling fat people?

Just tried mowing my lawn. The air quality got to me. Got done with front lawn that?s it. No trim no back lawn. Just feel like I worked hard labor all day.
I will be that guy tomorrow in the morning before the heat stats.
Maybe it wasn?t the heat. Maybe you finally got the Covid.
The heat and air quality was my determining factor in starting it when I did. I can barely stand having a half a cigar while throwing the ball for the pup right now (don't smoke inside at all).

Took care of a wasp’s nest about the size of a softball all the way up in the peak of the eaves today, beyond the range of a can of long shot, had to break out the ladder to get within range. They destroyed the cars in a car lot, set multiples of them on fire and the whole dealership is burning up.
The kicker was that they had "Black Lives Matter" on their sign.

I rarely use E-470 due to IMO outrageous tolls. Prime example - pickup and car trailer round trip I70/E470 to I25/E470 the day I picked my safe. I received the bill today for $44.40. Wiki says 20.375 miles each way. More than a buck a mile.
Fuk U E470.
You could save money if you had the transponder. Just saying.
I rack up probably 180 miles a week on 470 and it?s about $30 each week.
I will fully admit that someone else pays that bill so I don?t really care and when it comes to running it on my dime I?d rather save the money and just play in traffic.
Yup Lobo get the transponder, goes down from like $4 something to I think around 1.50.

Tacoma was trying to put through an ammo tax. That was held up by the courts. The state has a certification requirement for purchasing semi-auto rifles. If you want windy, with 4 seasons and less snow. Central & NAZ are the place to be. Look at Cottonwood, Verde valley area. Or the QUAD CITIES.
Wyoming is one of the few places, where snow flurries from 2 days ago. Shut down the state, due to whiteout conditions.
AZ was on the short list, but getting closer to family and the lower elevation and good air quality were higher priorities.

Ugh along with college football the aves where my only other sports to follow....damn it!

I went outside and put a couple hundred rounds of rimfire down range instead of watching NASCAR last evening. Haven't watched ball and stick games for couple years.
So glad I live rural except small draw back recently, neighbors tend to "drop by" hoping for an invite to shoot when they see us at the berm.

Must be nice being able to shoot without leaving the house. That sort of thing is frowned upon in the big city.
Also, be glad you don?t have me for a neighbor. I wouldn?t even wait to see you out shooting before I dropped by unannounced wanting to shoot.

Our little berm is pretty much rimfire only, pistols ok but drills kinda suck cause targets have to be lowered a little.
Everybody should get out of the city.
That?s cool. I have rimfire stuff now. Guess I?ll just drop by randomly some day when it?s inconvenient for you.

I scatter breaks, but usually don't make a ball in on the break.
My shot making skills are definitely rising back to where they used to be, still refamiliarising with english and banks...interesting how much muscle memory and stroke control you can lose when not playing for three years. Still feels great to be playing again.
Aim High on the que ball and move it straight back between the first 2 diamonds. Thats the only way I can get a dunk off the break.

I've been messing with cue break position for a long time, just never found the sweet juju spot for 8 ball breaks. The fun is in the experimenting with all of it, and pocketing balls.

Peaches from seed are a tough one. Clean all the meat off with brush and water, keep moist but not wet(will rot) and put in refer til probably end Feb for your locale. They need the chill to germinate. Do the whole basket, many will fail. If pits split don't mess with seed inside and do not eat seed. Not really dangerous to people but do contain cyanide and could harm small critters
Maybe Hummer will see this and chime in. Been 30+ yrs since tried to germinate peaches and we grew apples.

Yes
The advice was harvest your vegetables and cover your plants with a tarp supported by stakes driven into the ground, or put in garage if portable.

Scolopendra Heros...
Giant desert centipede, fuck you. I've killed two of these down in the pool room in two days now, and they're creepy as hell. Five inches long and doing a 100 mph, step on it five times and it still had life in it. Grabbed some pliers and crushed his head area and it still wriggled around for another minute. There's another one running around in the house somewhere, but I'll eventually find and eradicate him.
