Re: Gmail's forced update and the taking away of the "revert to classic look" option
I hate Devs. I hate the moronic executives who approve these changes. I hate cutesy UI's that completely jack up an otherwise working experience. I hate when something is fast and works and does all I want it to becomes a trudging along piece of junk.
If a fascist regime takes over in America, I hope they leave the gutter trash to act 2, and kill all "progressive" and "good idea!" devs in the opening salvos.

I'm not a big sports fan anyways, figured it might be something folks were semi-interested in....since the team has sucked for so long...lol.
I actually picked up the strat over the weekend and played it for a few hours....it felt good and I remembered more than I thought I was gonna, but there is some shit I failed at.
I'll turn the Rockies games on as background for the playoffs. I can't watch every minute.

No, it's not there. Are you using a G Suite account? They've maintained the classic on those, for now.
Non-G suite accounts should have been rolled over by now. They might be doing it in waves.
I've moved to thunderbird entirely or just the basic html if using web.
My main gripe was how utterly slow the new one is. Some emails just won't load. "Compose" takes like 10-15 seconds to even open the window. Unacceptable.
Bummer that I don't have fs1 nor TBS.
It's always fun when you forget to apply the reload in X minutes to a remote device before you go making config changes that can potentially lock you out of said device.

Ahem, remote hands please? can you just power cycle that router for me m'kay?
FWIW, we used to put modems on the console ports and had POTS lines for emergency access. Then graduated to using serial remote IP consoles, etc.

Acoustic excitation produced by jet-engine effluxes was simulated in a progressive wave tube (PWT) facility with a computer-based control system. The PWT siren is driven by a signal generated numerically in a PC and then converted into analog form. Characteristics of the acoustic pressure measured by a microphone are analyzed in digital form and compared with those prescribed for simulation. Divergence is compensated by immediate modification of the driving signal and this action is repeated in the form of iterative process until the test specification is attained. Typical power spectral density (PSD) shapes with maxima at low and high frequencies were simulated. A "tailoring" approach has been also achieved when a test specification was determined directly from field measurements for the particular aircraft under consideration. Since acoustic pressure signals of high level differ from the Gaussian random process model, particularly in terms of asymmetric probability density function, a method has been developed to make the driving signal also non-Gaussian by simulating skewness and kurtosis parameters of the APWT acoustic excitation simultaneously with PSD control.

On a lighter note, the dual rod 4x4 shifter that was on the married C6/205 transfer case was basically useless for the Dana 24 I'm using. So, I dismantled it and began welding up a more simple 4L-N-2H-4H lever using 3/16 plate steel and some 3/8's inch solid rod. I'm gonna have to just make the damn thing.

Shot 50 thru my glock, and all shots group 1" left and a bit low, at 7 yards. Wondering if its me or I need to drift the sights a bit. Don't care about low for now as WWB is practice fodder.
Didn't shoot my new rifle, there were 2 guys on the 100 yard and I didn't want to be the idiot without targets.
Bought a new stapler on way back for the new range bag.

Holy shit....it worked...lol.
Sounds like your truck is coming along.
I spent about 5 hours on my Suburban today. Oil change, tire rotation, fixed the cowl air intake which was loose, and still needs two $8 clips! Checked the trans fluid. Took out and replaced 1/2 quart of dirty power steering fluid, may do it again. Tried to grease some zirks but my grease gun fitting sucks, bought a replacement and will fit it on later. The oil filter was rusty which made me go huh, but I did the last oil change in late 2016, 4k miles ago. The truck is at 99,970 right now so it is hitting the magic 100k where a bunch of things need work. Still need a new sensor, diffs oil, transfer case oil, trans fluid. I also need front suspension work because the tires are wearing funny. I think I will pay for the front end work and trans fluid change. Something changed today when I worked on the car - it didn't feel fun today.
Hope you have better luck with your range trip next time.

It's as far as I could get with it this morning, I used a 5/8 ths bung that was in the old shifter for the pivot but it will only accept a 3/8 ths bolt, I think I'll remove the bung and just use a 5/8 ths bolt to hold it all together instead. More strongerier that way. I did get the other end attached to the T case.

Dynamat starting going in today !
The under hood dynamat should be delivered tomorrow sometime. The carpet is gonna fit good, and it looks great. I'm gonna put the mat around the back of the cab and then carpet over it as well with a nice trim/finish.
I've figured out how many circuits I'll need for all of the accessory lighting which is a lot. LED helps with load management, but a certain amount of it still needs to be on breakers and relayed for the best reliability....and I need to add spare circuits while doing all of this for future ideas. When wiring, always run extras. I'll be searching for quality switch plates and associated items for a while tonight.

Sure. Go with the mostly likely. I see how you are.
After talking to the customers service, I had to cancel the online tire order. order was stuck and have issues. My guess is it was out of stock.
My car is on jack stands and a jack (as a backup), and I gotta go to weatridge to get 2 tires replaced. Out of all the tire stores, the weatridge store is only ones that carries the specific tire. :(

Anyway.....FUCK THIS TOILET!
Can you believe this 64 year-old ass bitch rusted out?! Surprisingly enough, the far side that is intact is the one where the bolt just completely disappeared. One day (yesterday) wife was like, "Are you going to fix our toilet?" I take a look, "Where is this bolt?" She responds, "I have no idea, the cats probably did it."

So does the standard repair kit fit? Of course not! The only thing standard back in '54 was racism and beating women when they burned the chicken. I thought the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock holes would fit a 5/16x18 thread, but nooooooo. So I tediously drilled through the existing steel plate in order to sink some concrete anchors (my house is on slab). Did that work? You bet your ass it didn't work. There is nothing under the existing ring but dirt and the occasional root. So, since I had the holes already drilled, I took a shot in the dark and used a 5/16x18 tap (the very first one I grabbed out of the drawer) and tapped all the holes. The tap didn't break until the last one, and it was still usable.

Yeah, I screwed up the first wax ring, I had a second (and three more) on hand so I got it seated.

I was going to post about my grandfather, believe it or not. I feel like half of the tools I use now when I fix things came from his garage. Even yesterday when my forced observer (wife) knocked stuff down the sink drain, I grabbed a flexible grabber thing, put a magnet on the and let her go to town. The taps of course came from him as well.
I'll have to find that thread for Rebekah, I'm sure she would have enjoyed that shop.

Well, I haven't even left yet, so by the time the deadline comes, I'll still be in Colorado. That's a bit of a bummer considering I expected to leave sometime before noon. Now I'll probably not even make it to KC, MO before I sleep. Things are off to a slow start since a lot of roads are closed and people can't get back home yet, so I'm not too worried about not being there today.
I'll get to drive through a bunch of new states. The question now is, should I go South in Kansas to go through Oklahoma and Arkansas? Stay North to cut through Kentucky and Tennessee? Or right in the middle so I go through Springfield, MO, a bit of Arkansas, and into Memphis, TN and end up in Alabama?
