Factory fmj for break-in.
I like to load 200g lswc for plinking/target shooting.
Try several different defense loads to see what your pistol likes and is reliable with.
For defense, pick your poison. I'm partial to Hornady Critical Duty if you need barrier (heavy denim, etc.) penetration in .45CAL, I run Speer Gold Dots in my .357SIG, but Federal HST or Ranger SXT seem to be a great choice for PD rounds and popular. The Hornady CD gets slammed for lack of expansion, so it's something you'll have to consider.

I'll have to check my load data, I think I've been using 4.3gr W231 and 4.4gr Titegroup with 230gr berry's plated RN, but I may have loaded some powder puff loads lower than that. Have to check the stickers on the boxes against the spreadsheet I'm looking at.

One of my former co-workers was deathly afraid (hence forth known as Irvafied) of arachnids. Put a plastic one on her machine shelf. She took one of her machines, the spider falls on the bench. SCREAMS, JUMPS UP high enough to smash her head on the ceiling fan, THEN as shes in motion smashes her face in to the door. For some reason she was the only one working that day who didn't find it funny. Women, go figure.

Lots of folks who can really think outside the box and find loopholes around here. Honestly, the gun owners of the rest of the country ought to be providing as much support as possible to the gun owners "behind enemy lines" here. Lots of ideas came out of CA that have really poked the ATF in the eye. And CCW isn't impossible, just LOTS of hoops to jump through. What a PITA. [facepalm]

Sad that I didn't get to ever do a shooting match in Colorado, but it turns out that the gun club on base here has different types of matches every Saturday and Sunday. I just have to purchase an eligible firearm (don't even get me started on this one), get it registered with the state, get it registered with the base, and then I can shoot at the gun club any time I want for $45/year. They have 25, 50, and 100yd ranges, along with a really nice skeet and trap house area. I'm excited. I learned my lesson and I'm not fooling around until it's time to leave before I get involved. I don't care how many hoops I have to jump through.

Irving, that video was funny, but do those folks have any credentials for judging alcohol? For that matter, do I? [LOL]
After doing a blind taste test (and being pretty familiar with Crown) I correctly guessed with about 90% confidence which was which, and I still prefer the Crown, but that is probably familiarity bias. The Kirkland one isn't bad, but it doesn't have the maple flavor that I've grown to like from Crown. If I score the Crown at 8/10, I give the Kirkland a 7.2/10. Lower score because it doesn't have the rich smell that I was hoping for and it was a bit harsher on the tongue. For the price, I'm pleased.

Absolutely not. They are a bunch of internet liberal journalists for Buzzfeed. There is one where they go out and shoot guns. Actually one of those videos was posted on here once upon a time.
I think I just spent the last 5 hours standing up a CentOS server (VM) on my laptop, installing all the junk needed to run a special storage performance monitoring app and supporting apache web service. Then had to install vpnc to get a cisco vpn tunnel setup to connect to the client storage to collect stats for the app. Hardest part was getting something going to move files between my other VM's. I couldn't get the VM host network to work properly (routing) in CentOS.
Probably would have taken a good Linux admin an hour or so.
Thank God for yum.

I'm glad I made it out. It was nice to meet Slapps74 and buffalobo and to see Ray and Stu. I had fun shooting and will definitely work on making more of them.
Have you guys shot together yet?
Both of you carry similar pistols in similar style. And are both very accurate with the small guns.

We both shot in the shoot off and we're both $5 poorer.
Haha, true that!
I was marginally satisfied with how I shot in the side match. There is only so much room for error at 20 yards, so I was happy to get all shots on target.

Yeah. People get comfortable and forget how risky and difficult it is to launch something into space. The rocket was going about 3000mph when it blew up at almost 150,000ft above sea level. Bummer for the payload lost; bummer for SpaceX fans everywhere.
Speaking of forgetting how hard space launch is, I kind of ignored the launch, as I was much more excited to see the rocket body's automated landing attempt. Oops.

Sup man? When you coming up to Black Hawk again?
Sheet bro im hoping some time soon just have a lot going on dealing with my moms issues.
Hope you ho's are well, it's crazy every time I say hi on this thread at work I get busy wtf?
Everytime I shoot a match I get the bug to try and improve something about my gun, which is completely stock. Good thing I'm too cheap to actually act on that though. However, between my belt and holster, I'm definitely in need of some upgrades. If I wait much longer it's going to move from potential safety issue, to likely hazard. I really need to move to a full kydex holster. My leather one got so sweaty, for so long, on Saturday that if I drew slow (like to load and make ready) the holster would come out with the gun.
Hope it doesn't rain today as I'm sick of seeing these f'king rainbows everywhere....

He told the neighbors he was constructing a "carbon well" so as to properly dispose of his carbon in an area that will not reach the "environment," so he just did it during the day.

Are you saying that this administration ISN'T the most transparent administration we've ever had? FALSE. Look how transparent they are: Gov employees PII is totally transparent to anyone with basic hacking skills; ATF personnel records are totally transparent; Hillary has released ALL MOST of her emails for us to pour through; the IRS came clean on targetting conservative groups, They aren't even trying to hide the fact that a "gay rainbow whitehouse" is a part of their agenda. So much transparency! Even Snowden is being somewhat transparent and he's not even a part of the gov anymore!

Why you want to complain about something you had complete control over? Also it would behest you to not be demanding and want your way "Immediately", the staff tends to give out the bird to members that do this.

The staff (mods & admins), all of us. But I'll happily listen to any concerns you might have. Ask around here, I've got the authority you seek, as does Mazin & any other staff member.

Yeah, a friendly approach goes over soooo much better than demands & a forceful attitude.
ETA: I've been watching the PM exchange and wasn't impressed by your tone. We respond very well to friendlier communication.

And I did not give the bird to anybody. I didn't cuss, I didn't use caps, I didn't even use exclamation points.

How does one delete their profile on the ar15 site??

The creator of this club is no longer associated with the site. The ownership has transferred to the staff. Site Admins, such as myself, are officially the highest authority, the entire staff is a tight-knit group and we support each other 100%. The mods may not have the system "permissions" that Admins do, we recognize them as having all of the same authority.
Again, if you need to talk to the "man in charge", the buck stops with any of us but you won't find anyone with more authority than me. Each staff member has different roles/responsibilities but the team as a whole owns the site So, if you have a concern, PM me and I'll listen but I won't be second guessing my mod. He has done everything "by the book" and with my full support, as always.

You can't. If you wish to leave the site you just leave and choose never to return. After a period of inactivity that the staff feels "it's time", we'll deactivate your account.
ETA: Of course, you could be banned too which I'm in the mood to do at this point, so...
