CO AR-15 Gathering!

That's correct, folks! A CO AR-15 gathering for fun and excitement! I got to thinking... I have a turkey fryer, a big ol' grill, and a pick em up truck... Let's take those things and go out to a range somewhere and have us a good ol' range day filled with food, drinks, and deep fried food!

When should we do this? The second Sunday in December, December 9th. Be at the range about 0930 or so til whenever.

What will be there? Guns. Ammo. Food. Drinks.

Who will be there? Who ever wants to be there!!!!

Where will it be? Harris Park in Bailey. If someone has a better idea feel free to toss it out there.

I figure if we have atleast one grill and one fryer we should be good to go. If someone wants to bring more, AWESOME! Everyone can bring a little something to share with the group and we'll have a ton of food.


My buddy and I (MileHighOutlaw) can provide the Fryer, Grill, and some EZ Up Tents. Maybe some burgers too.

Who else wants to pitch in and have a good time?!

Post here if you want to come have a good time and with what you can bring. Also, anyone with some ideas of where else we can do this is free to throw out some ideas.

Every time I come back to this someone has an awesome idea on how to make it better.

Last time we did this we all shot a ton of 12g and clays. There will be a chip in for ammo and clays for shotguns.
Also, Let's make this a "Range Clean Up Day" as well. Harris Park could use a little sprucing up. I'll get some trash bags, you bring some gloves, let's make the range a little cleaner in our area.

This will also be a good change to spread some awarness to the other shooters out there about cleaning up your shooting areas. We should set a good example and maybe we'll do a little good.

I like Hyundai cars. I originally was looking at a Veloster. They're not that great. Really small. I didn't fit in them well.

If you can afford one, the Sonota GT hatchback is badass. They run about $25k though. The payments on mine were gonna be about $120 more than I wanted to spend though.

LOL Nice. I had 4 wisdom teeth and my #2 molar cut out. And I'm affiliated with the military, so they made sure I had an escort to drive me home. If you're looking for a good batch of Jambalaya and don't want to spend a bunch of time cooking, get a box of Zatarain's Jambalaya mix; add in a cut up, cooked chicken breast and at least half of a Hillshire Farm smoked sausage. Use beer instead of water, and then jazz it up with some Tony Chachere's Cajun seasoning. Just watch how much Tony's you use, because that stuff has quite a bit of salt in it.

Just saw a thread selling .45LC bullets, reminds me of a time I wasn't paying attention and picked up a box of semi wadcutters to load, thinking I'd see if they would feed through my 1911. Good price, but when I got home I noticed they were .45LC. Not knowing if there was a difference, I decided I'd better pick up a Blackhawk so that $18 wouldn't be wasted. Also a Bisley Vaquero because the Blackhawk was lonely. 15 years later I still don't know if my 1911 feeds wadcutters.

Somehow a single box of .44-40 got mixed in and I did NOT buy a gun so it wasn't a waste of money. Saved them for years just in case I did find a good deal of course.
