Spot to set it up. I have space in the shop but not a very good environment. Three quarters of the space is dedicated to woodworking and one quarter to auto mech, metal and welding. Tough enough to keep welding and wood shavings/saw dust separate. New building which will be garage(gets auto mech, metal and welding out of shop), family pavilion and barn is supposed to start going up in the fall/winter. I was going to hold out until done and only set up press once.

In process of doing clean out and rearrange of shop, discovered that I will have space for a steel desk I intend to use as reloading bench, even before I move mech, metal, welding out to new building. If I get desperate I can easily build a kiosk type surround/cover for it. Use some pull down attic stairs hardware and make it easy to lift up out of way.

You know, if I like can't wait, you know.

I was just going to suggest a cover for the press. I've got a blanket over mine right now, but some day I'd like to sew up something more form fitting and durable. It's fine without a cover, until the second I actually use my garage for any type of cutting. Then either saw dust or hot metal is flying every where. I look forward to your kiosk cover idea.

Don't bother with the dillon video. There more info off utube or here. I'd go with a set of allen head wrenched you have on hand, of the HF units for the use they'll see.

Then again i'd choose the 550 over SDB as the 550 gives you the option to load rifle and uses any standard die set. The SDB is a proprietary die unit

Now all three of the doorways in the living room match. Once I paint the hall and living room, then I can install the new flooring in bedroom, hall, living room, entry, and coat closet. Then my house will be about half way remodeled.

They brought Case Keenum in to QB from Minnesota. Siemian was traded to Minnesota to backup Kirk Cousins. Aqib Talib was traded to the Rams. Virgil Green went to the Chargers.

And we still have that useless excuse of a head coach. [emoji36]

6-10 at best...if we're lucky. Going to be a very long year. I suppose I'll spend my Sundays hiking until the snow starts falling in the fall/winter. The end result will be much more rewarding.

I've got some laminate that looks like an aged (gray) oak that I've used in two other rooms so far. I bought enough to do all the rooms I want, and it's been sitting in my living room for well over a year now. It'll be about damn time!

If he reverts to his years prior to that, then it was wasted time and money. But on the bright side, if he does horrible, then Vance Joseph will get a swift kick in the pants out the door. He is the team's biggest weakness because he doesn't have a clue what he's doing and his ego gets in the way too much.

Talibs antics were tiresome but his production on the field made up for it, hard to replace a talent like that. He brought swagger to our defense. I hope Roby can step up and play with that same swagger and aggressive style.

These cold weather states need to require a winter driving endorsement for CDL drivers.

All the mountain states oughta require a winter driving endorsement AND a mountain driving endorsement on CDL's. That would keep these idiots that can't drive in the snow or mountains out of here.

No. Pretty much driving daily is considered your CE.

However the company I work for gives you monthly safety videos and a test or two to complete or you don't get your safety bonuses each month or quarter.

Most other companies also do this. I don't even watch the videos, it's all common sense and I get 100% on all of the tests every time.

A lot of it is severely outdated which is why the tests are easy to pass without watching the videos.

Questions like

Road surfaces are most slippery when?

a.) Right after it stops raining
b.) During a downpour
c.) When it first starts raining
d.) When it's hot and humid out



You should never use your jake brakes when?

a.) It's snowing
b.) It's raining
c.) when it's sunny and dry

There's two schools in Denver. Sage and US Truck. Both are about $5,000 give or take.

US Truck is 3 weeks long. not sure about Sage.

Like foxtrot said, if you know someone who has a semi, you can read the Colorado CDL Manual (the state's link is down for some reason) but I can email you a copy when I get home as I have it on my home computer, and take the test but per the state you are required to take the test through an approved school. I'm pretty sure they charge a fee for the testing portion.

Just a fair warning...If you get a CDL..do not get any tickets. Colorado does not like to give out zero points and change the ticket to a lesser violation. They usually reduce the ticket by half the points and will allow the charge to be reduced, but getting it to zero points is next to impossible.

I found this out the hard way and it cost me a $92,000 a year job. [emoji52]

I had one point too many on my license in 7 years (5 points total) and they wouldn't hire me. Even worse that 1 extra point was for a measly headlight bulb going out on my way back from Texas in my personal car. Out in the middle of Baca County at night both headlights working and it goes out and busted by a trooper (are you kidding me?). I just paid it as it wasnt a moving violation and fixed the bulb and the company didn't care. A point was a point. They only allow 4 points in 7 years to get hired.

Also another fun fact...from the minute you get your CDL, any tickets you've had since you first got a standard drivers license in Colorado...will show up on your driving record from that date (not the date you got your CDL) and any prospective employer can see every ticket you have ever been convicted of since you started legally driving in Colorado, even if it is a non-moving violation or a moving violation. (Not sure why Colorado puts non-moving violations on driving records. All 5 of my points are non-moving violations and it cost me a damn good job. [emoji849])


If you get a CDL I highly recommend using a driver's legal service to protect your CDL.

is the service that I use. You dont have to have a CDL to use it. You can have a standard drivers license but you have to call them to pay the subscription.

$150 a year for CDL holders.
$75 a year for standard drivers license.

$100 for each ticket for minor tickets (speeding, moving violations)
$250 for DUI/Vehicular Manslaughter and the more serious driving charges, plus whatever the court cost/fine is.

It's definitely worth it.

Just to hire an attorney for a reckless driving ticket is about $950+ (friend of mine got a reckless in a CMV and her lawyer charged her $950 fee to represent her plus more if they had to go to trial).

Just giving him the option for another dillon in the same price range that gives him the ability to load for rifle. Uses common dies, can do more and holds value. Plus the 550 has a broader base to resell to which the SDB may not.

Single stage is set up for 38sp which we have good inventory and don't shoot much anymore since she started collecting 9mm wheel guns.

SDB for 9mm since we shoot alot.

550 for rifle calibers. I can wait until after I get long range rifle set up.

Living in a hospice situation that is dragging out much longer than anyone anticipated, really blows ass. The toll it takes on everybody involved is incredible.

Some may remember I mentioned that I've never experienced something like this, but I wouldn't back out on a family in a time of need. And that still stands.

However, if faced with participating in this type of situation again, I will opt out and recommend that professionals in an accredited facility manage the passing of a loved one. I'll plan my visits and do what I can to bring whatever level of comfort I can provide during those times.....and maintain some level of personal life and rest that is required for someone that is going to work every day. I had no idea just how draining this process can be, and the different stages of "caregiver" emotional roller coaster ride is about....and watching a mind and body revert back to an infantile state.

I've seen and learned a lot this far into it, I'll see it through, and check that box completed.

I can only imagine what you must be going through - doing this while working a full time job and trying to do life.

My father was under hospice care for an extended period with my mother as the primary caregiver and a nurse coming in periodically. We were there only the last week after receiving the dreaded, but expected, phone call. It was a stressful, dreadful situation. It was heartbreaking to see my father in such a frail and helpless condition.

You're a better man for having stepped up to such a huge responsibility and undertaking.

I am not blood in this situation, but that alone is not a reason to care less about people who are struggling through a tough deal. Folks who are losing their mental capacity can say some very cruel and hurtful things to the very people that are bending over backwards to deliver comfort to them....while they are doing it. Lucid times mingle with the extreme alternative/opposite versions. I didn't know that was part of this process.

The bottom line of learning about this, for me.....is that I don't ever want to be that age and that state of incapacity. Or to burden people I know. I never want to be like that for my sake, or theirs.

So I was changing things up, and instead of reading questions from English speaking people trying to learn Spanish, I started reading questions from Spanish speaking people trying to learn English. Everyone always says English is a tough language to learn, and plenty of examples are given by comedians or in school or whatever. Anyway, the phrase was "Hay un lapiz en la mesa" and the correct translation for the exercise is "There is a pencil on the table." Someone asked why he couldn't say "There is a pencil over the table." I've never given much thought to the word "over" (or most of English to be fair) but it abruptly made sense to me how English can be difficult to learn. Of course I run into things like this constantly learning Spanish, but it makes more sense with something with which I'm more familiar. If you look it up in the dictionary http://www.dictionary.com/browse/over?s=t there are over 50 different definitions, and of course they aren't all related in an intuitive manner. Anyway, "over" is a strange word.

It just pisses me off that talented entertainers have to shove their political bullshit views into their persona. Why not reel it in a bit and have more fans of your work? I used to watch the Tonight Show monologue, but once Trump was elected, within a week I knew I'd never waste my time watching the Tonight Show if he was hosting it.

It just sucks.

Eberls Claims Services is the local adjuster company here. Based out of Lakewood. But there's many others you can get registered as a CAT adjuster (catastrophe) with and be on call.

You'll do hail storms and wind damage claims primarily. When a big Hurricane hits or a tornado outbreak occurs, you'll get deployed. Nebraska and Minnesota during severe storm season is the place to be. I know a lady who made $180,000 in 60 days doing roof damage claims.

You'll need additional training and licenses for Flood, Fire and Earthquake claims. The more licenses you have the more likely you are to be called. Commercial claims (skyscrapers, warehouses, plants) require x-amount of years as a residential adjuster...think it's 5 years.

Primary ins companies you get contracted to are All State, American Family, Farmers and State Farm.

All 1099 work. Unfortunately per diem is no longer allowed to be claimed at the end of the year on your taxes but you can still take per diem on the front end if you wish, just keep in mind it affects your overall Gross Income. But the guys who are good at it and get called are making $300,000 - $400,000 a year.

You need a laptop, portable printer recommended, power inverter, a truck or van, ladder and a few basic tools (measuring tape, angle finder for roof pitch, roofing shoes/boots, and a few other things).
