No, 737

Rows 20 21 are exit on all UA 2x3 wide body (Airbus, 737, 757). Most versions have a super thin seat cushion on the window seats in the exit rows and/or a half armrest.

Although only Silver so I have to wait until check in to move up to E+ seating, I almost always get exit because someone got moved up either 72 hrs prior, or after check-in depending on their status. Then the just-before-flight seating starts to move around with late check-ins and standby, etc. and I can sometimes squeak out something a little better from the app while at the gate. My favorite seat is 7A or 7D (A3xx, 737) right behind F when there's a shortened bulkhead and front floor storage.

I'm not even making silver going into 2015, 3k miles short and I don't want to pay $350 to make the cheapest miles run I could find (Miami.) I'll use a new UA mileage plus card to keep priority 2 boarding, and pay out of pocket for plus until I get Silver back. I'm picking up 50k award miles for a small spend on the card, and two free club passes per year, so it's a decent deal to keep me out of the kettle line.

Already have two known trips east for January, and possibly a third, so I will probably make Silver again mid year like I usually do. I normally either hit segments or do 30-40K, always short for Gold. One of those upcoming trips (Raleigh) should have been in 2014 and got pushed so I'm kinda bummed about that one causing my status loss and zero chance of upgrading into F which is the biggest pisser about losing status even though it's kinda rare. I got upgraded to F for 5 segments in 2014.

I considered switching to AA for 2015 but UA is still going to work better for me for the time being, even with their RDM changes going to revenue like Delta.

737 and 757 are not "wide body" aircraft. [emoji41]

The 757 was always my favorite plane to work.

Yep. I was familiar with the Metallica lyrics, but not that it came from the book. That series was suggested in one of the many book threads that I started back in 2010. Buffalobo seconded the recommendation, but I didn't know him back then. I've had the series on my radar since then, but just started reading it. Kazoo, how much of that info did you know without looking it up?
One of my top 3 series.

Derrel Sims The Alien Hunter is the world’s leading expert on alien abductions. His 38+ years of field research has focused on physical evidence, and led to his groundbreaking discoveries of alien implants and alien fluorescence. As a former military police officer and CIA operative, Sims has a unique insight to the alien organization which he believes functions similarly to an intelligence agency. Sims is also a compassionate and skilled therapist who has helped hundreds of alien experiencers all over the world come to terms with what they’ve witnessed.

This one. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/10306/category/4220/

Lemme know how it is for you. I've ordered 4 of those over the last 2 years with no issues. I ordered one on Thanksgiving morning that I can get the dust cover to flip open, but it will not close shut without me pushing in on the dust cover button. I swapped the dust cover - same issue. I went through an MEB. Luckily I was able to push them off past 18.5 years (there is a belief that Uncle Sam has bought you for 20 if you can make it to 18.5) and I had a BG for a CC who wrote me an endorsement letter to be allowed to stay until 20. A 4-pack of 16oz'ers ought to be perfect because by the time you finish them, it will be after noon and you can switch to another beer. If you're drinking more than just a 4-pack of 16oz Chelada's before noon though, you might have a bit of a problem.

If you figure it out, let me know. I've been retired for 9 years - working as a DoD contractor since then in 1 of the fields I worked while AD. I DO NOT enjoy what I do yet I don't know what else to do that would keep my wife living in the lifestyle to which she has grown accustomed. Apparently, the VA doesn't have a vocational training program for "Independently Wealthy" so I never bothered with those programs.

If you make it back here, PLEASE let me know. I've been wanting to meet you for a few years.

Well, there was some damn auto correct going on, that's for sure. You didn't blow anything. I was asking because I've not heard the phrase "how's the hammer hanging?" before, so I wasn't sure if it was in reference to something (which I must have missed) or if you are just a hip dude and I'm not update on my greeting slang.

I assure you that the tone of my response was all smiles.

Funny because there has been a bit of confusion around here lately surrounding my new title as well. More than one person thought it came from an exchange on here and started looking back through pages to see what they missed. Rest easy my friend.

Whew. I thought I missed something. I know I can be a dick and all, but I thought we were cool...good to know I was right.

"I wasn't sure if it was in reference to something (which I must have missed) or if you are just a hip dude and I'm not update on my greeting slang."
-- Duuuude. You KNOW I'm hip, but the term is (sadly) at least as old as I am. Let's not dwell on my age, shall we?!)

That is going to be the issue. However, in my opinion, the Army is doing a much better job at helping our Soldiers transition to a civilian career field. Could it be better? Of course it could be, but it is much better than when I first joined up.

There are jobs out there for folks who are willing to work. I find that many folks who leave the service are shocked to find out how hard they are required to work and how easy they are let go. Have a good attitude and be prepared to work for it.

It really depends what you want to do. One of my airmen is separating after 8 years of service and he's getting picked up by a denfense contractor. Frankly, it'sa darned good thing I got out (retired) when I did. There is NO WAY I could deal with what I'm seeing in how the USAF is going today.

Finding a good/lucrative post-military job has a lot to do with what your skills are (what you did in the military). Some skillsets don't really carry over too well in the civilian world. BUT, most everything you do on active duty has a contractor position out there and those typically pay a fair amount more than the DoD claims you earn when you get your direct & indirect compensation statement each April.

My advice to anyone looking to get out:
(1) Get ANY ailments/physical issues documetned in your medical records. Go to the clinic/hospital multiple times for the issues if you can/need to so that it is a clearly documented issue. You'll want that for any VA claims. Even if you aren't interested in making a VA claim because you're "in far better condition than so many other guys", don't be a fool. You have a time limit to make claims. Who knows, something that's barely noticable now may become a serious problem later. Then, just before or just after separating, go to a non-VA affiliated VA advocate such as the DAV (my personal favorite). They can/will help you put together and file your claim for you AT NO COST. It's good to have experienced folks like the DAV, etc. in your corner for assistance and advice.

(2) Pay close attention during your Transition Assistance Program (TAP) training (Congressionally mandated training!!). Lots of great resources and wisdom given.

You're likely sick of working in a DoD environment, but consider it for employment. You'll bring a lot of skills to the job and they'll bring income to your family.

calling someone a nazi isn't racist, it's a description of their 1/2 ass belief system. Saying something pertaining to a persons skin color THAT'S RACIST, get it right. That way of thinking is what's fuked up on the board and elsewhere.

drivers are all over the map (slow, fast, jack-wagons), the summer heat, Takes a long time to get to a big city, the heat, congested cities, the heat, no basements, no water, the heat.

Any parts left over will be donated back to the COAR community. I'm sure others out there need an extra little widget or roll pin in order to get their build off the ground. To some, it's a dream to build their own rifle. I will do what I can to help others.

I played the violin professionally before I joined the Army. I played a couple concerts (and the practicing and rehearsals beforehand) with a broken elbow. I either played or I didn't have a roof over my head.

I'd say that if it's worth it to you, then get out there and get it done.

I remember that. My 870 only came with a pistol grip when I got it, so I wasn't sure what the big deal was with that challenge. Surely you guys could do better.

To answer your question, I go back and forth on the issue. It's already a ridiculous challenge, but would adding milk to make it more like cereal be more or less ridiculous?

WAIT! I've got it. Yes, you CAN have something to flush it down, but it must be Eggnog. You can either drink it, or pour it into a bowl like cereal.

On a side note, my boss once asked me if I realized that the Del Taco I was eating was just one level above cat food. I firmly let him know that if there was such a thing as Chorizo flavored cat food, I'd very likely eat it.
