So, the story on sending the mp40c back, is that the fuvker shoots FIVE inches to the left of a perfect sight picture, and a good squeeze....at 7 yards.

I found that aiming at an IDPA targets left ear, you end up punching cardboard through his right ear. After getting frustrated with the weapons performance, it's THEN that I notice the front sight isn't centered, from the factory, favoring towards the error that the weapon has. If it was centered, it would be shooting that much further off to the left. Anyway, the gun is gone and on its way back to the factory, dude was cool about everything. They sent a label for me to print out....and we'll find out wth is going on with it.

I think he was saying that the front sight had already been adjusted, and was shooting 5" to the side, and if the sight had been centered, it would have been even further off. That's how my muzzle loader is.

Hope you have better luck with S&W warranty service than I did back in the day. If you don't get the answer you like keep pushing them. I had a p99 (they use to import Walther) and had to send it back 3 times before they replaced it because after 40 rounds the guide rails were penned. They first told me "after market modifications were not covered", I then told them that I didn't know shooting the damn thing was an after market mod.
