Irving, did you sort your voicemail notifications?
Irving, which Pixel phone do you have, and is it a BYOD or did you get it from Sprint?
FAQs about Sprint voicemail (https://www.sprint.com/en/support/solutions/device/faqs-about-sprint-voicemail.html)
How do I add Visual Voicemail to my device that I brought over to Sprint?
Visual Voicemail is available only on select Android BYOD devices. To enable Visual Voicemail on your phone you can either:
Click on the link included in your first Visual Voicemail notification
Search the Play Store for Sprint Visual Voicemail to download and install
I found and installed the app, thanks. Looks like I've had 10 voicemails since I got this phone.

That's a cool shot, Lobo.
How long has the wall cloud been developed? The one in the pic at least 30mins, it had formed 30mins previous to that, split, one fizzled right off and the remaining one became that pic.
Plenty of in flow, just not enough shear/energy to really spin up. If it had formed 10 miles southwest of Yuma/Akron it would make the news. We get a front row seat of the formation of the storms that hammer Yuma/Akron.
The ridge 3 miles west of us appears to affect the majority of thunder storms we see. It appears to be a stall point for most all but the most intense t-storms we see. They either push north or south if they don't stall completely.

People just aren't that smart.
It doesn't make sense to me. It's not like porch lights are new, or they have drastically changed shape over the years. The glass is even angled with the narrow part at the bottom to spill the light onto the ground better.
Officially the phrase I dislike the most is.
"Is this available?"
"IS this available for sale?"
"Is this still for sale?"

That same stuff happened in Buie. Big rise west of there killed inflow I think, and big cells stalled out and then gathered steam again after they were past us. Watched cells do some weird shit due to that.

I mean, technically, they're right. Reflecting light off a white ceiling DOES better illuminate the area. But I think people just don't realize what they're doing or that there's a specific direction to install it. Or, they think it looks better that way.

In other news, Irving, after you comment the other night about a SUP, I did some thinking today (which is unusual for a Wednesday, but I'm at home not at work so its probably okay for me to think a bit more than usual).
A kayak would be a lot of sitting, which isn't good for me (if I do sit, it has to be perfect posture, blah blah blah). Also, kayaks are rather heavy, weighing in at 45-60 lbs or more. After doing some research, iSUPs (inflatables) are quite light at only 20-30 lbs which would be a lot more manageable for me. Not only that, SUPs are basically core strength workouts on steroids. The best types of workouts I can do are those that work my core (and walking, cause motion is lotion). So I've switched over to researching iSUPs now, and am highly considering one of those instead of a kayak. Thanks for the tip!

Cool. I'd just say to try one out to make sure it works for you before you get too excited. I only know a little, but here it is. Wider is more stable. My friend has had two, and she prefers the thicker one better as it seems like more buoyancy/carrying capacity. My niece and nephew are small enough that they ride along (or the dog or something).

Yea, I wish I could but I haven't seen any paddle board shops near me (for renting) and don't know anyone that has one. It might be possible to ask people that live at the lake if anyone has one I could borrow to try out.
From what I've seen, 32-34" wide is best for beginners and that I should get one that is 6" thick (the 4" thick inflatables are not rigid enough and bend when you stand on them). There are some that even have D-rings meant for a 4-pt kayak seat which would most likely be the most uncomfortable "kayaking" experience ever lol.
Apparently Costco sells a pretty good beginner one for very cheap (currently on sale for $299; Body Glove), but I don't want to rush into the decision, and from what I've read, they've sold that one for years and it goes on sale several times per year. Plus, if I bought it now, I'd be eager to get out there and probably re-herniate... so that'd be bad.

You know, you'd think that. But, our lake has 5 beaches, and 22-mi of shoreline, which has houses on almost all of it (so lots of waterfront homes). In the nearly 5-yrs we've lived here, the countless hours I've spent at the beach, I've only see 1 paddleboarder. And they were on the opposite side of the lake near another beach. So unless they all go out at sunrise or sunset, my chances of catching a paddleboarder getting ready on the beach, is pretty slim.
Haha. Might be different with people who live on the water as well.
BuffCyclist
08-21-2019, 18:39
Yea, I'm sure they see tons of paddleboarders out their back windows. We're 2 rows of houses over from the waterfront. There is a HUGE Facebook group for the lake, where everyone is extremely active (unfortunately). I might be able to track someone down that way before I buy just to see if southern hospitality actually exists like I'm told it does.
I just meant that people who live there might have a different attitude since they'll see it as "their" beach and not be as welcome to strangers. As opposed to some other place where everyone who is there is visiting, so there isn't an Us vs Them attitude. Who knows. I'm just bullshitting. Hope you can check one out regardless.

Sorry, I know the details of the lake and neglected that [facepalm]. It's a private gated community and I live inside the gates of the lake, just can't afford the houses on the water (they're 4-6 times more expensive than my house). I have full access to the 5 beaches scattered around the lake; the two closest are <3/4-mi and ~1-mi away.

I grilled some peaches tonight, to go along with our burgers for dessert. Cause apparently, grilled peaches are the in-thing right now.
Those were the most disgusting things I've ever tried. The rum caramel sauce was pretty good, except for the fact that once it hit the ice cream, it turned rock hard; almost as if it was shards of glass.
Needless to say, that dessert did not go over well with the family...

Yard and landscape pretty much done, grade and animal proofing under deck all that's left.
Yard is as rabbit proof as possible without getting ridiculous. Any that get in are on their own against GSD.
Think we should be confident no critters will put in the effort needed to try and dig burrows/dens under the deck. They will be discouraged enough to move on to easier digs.

That post and rail fence was kinda fun to build. Adds character to any application. Wish we could afford to do a mile of it.
Mrs bo learned to run the post hole digger on tractor and proper installation of posts to get max life from them. I got decent cardio from hours of compacting.
Four rail gets 5' ht to top rail, enough to discourage "princess" from climbing/jumping and breaks up view from highway into the yard. Chain link hits center of top rail and is stapled with barbed fencing staples to posts and crown staples to rails. The 4x4 base is oly'ed to posts and staked, chainlink is crown stapled to base. Eliminates rabbits or most dogs from trying to dig under. They just give up before they dig enough to get under. Smaller bunnies can squeeze passed gate or thru chain link but God help the fatties.

Ours is an 7kW/9kW (starting/running) Costco Special, picked up with a $250 discount for $500. We bought a mechanical interlock that fit our main breaker panel ($75). Then, just had to install a 60A 240V outlet ($50 and electrician was like $80). Turn off main breaker, slide interlock up, turn 60A generator breaker on, then slowly turn on all the other breakers. We can have our hot water heater, stove, fridge, deep chest freezer, and every light/fan on in the house without bogging it down. Basically everything in the house, just no A/C. My neighbor has a 15kW portable (its a beast) with manual transfer switch and he can run his A/C. He also left one light in his house on utility power so he knows when the utility comes back on. That may need to be a necessary upgrade for us in the future.

The MSM and the OMG Amazon Rain Forest fires....
The southern hemisphere is approaching spring. Their agricultural practices burn the previous season's stubble in the fields prior to planting. This happens every year. There's far more smoke and fire coming from Africa than from South America, but stating that in the MSM doesn't cause as much environmental angst.

Start tracking guests as a function of day of the week and time. Extra points if you add significant mass shootings to the plot.
Had a 2nd phone interview for a job this afternoon. Interviewer called about 15 minutes late and the interview was very disjointed. Unfortunately, I don't feel good about my performance and how it went overall. I hope I get another chance, preferably face to face.

After having recently been on an interview committee, send a followup email. Rephrase or add clarification to any part of the interview that you felt didn't go over well. Most of all, thank them for their time and express your desire to speak with them again in a face to face interview. Extra points if you're able to dig up their email addresses and werent given them previously (i.e. calling and asking for email addresses from secretary or whomever answers the phone).
Good luck!

What I should see is a new contract opportunity because someone isn't doing the job they were paid to do.
Oh wait... I'm being ridiculous because we are talking about Denver, riiiight?
